Reviews for Pension Haunold
Review 1:Smell of smoking everywhere. The room looked old and heavily used, especially the shower (curtian rail almost fell off). Wifi didn't work.
Review 2:Location near chairlift (to go hiking). Some staff friendly, others uninterested
Review 3:Everything!!! It was a great little place. We had 4 great days in San Candido with our dog Sam who was welcome everywhere. The pensione is in a fabulous location right in front of a ski slope and close to shops, bars and restaurants. Every morning we were treated to a nice continental breakfast with home made yummy jams, yogurts and cakes. There are buses which take you to all the ski resorts and the stop is right outside the hotel, they give you a weekly pass for free and you can hop on and off all day. People are very friendly and welcoming, it was a great experience!!
Review 4:It was a bit loud at night and in the early morning, but that's just the old building. Nothing to be concerned about. The rooms did not have refrigerators, which we would have enjoyed given that we brought food for our day-hikes. The "wellness" area is limited but you're there to be outside, not inside!
Review 5:As an avid mountaineer on a budget, this was the perfect pension for me. The staff was very nice and highly professional. We received very helpful tips about hiking/climbing trips and were even given some personal equipment from the owner to use for the day... that's some incredible service! The breakfast was good and plentiful and the rooms were clean. The location is in the heart of the beautiful Dolomites, and we enjoyed a stunning view of the Haunhold Mountain from our balcony. If you don't need all the luxuries of a hotel and enjoy the remote, small-town feel of a small pension, this is the location for you!
Review 6:The view from the balcony Friendly service, especially by Cindy We were allowed to leave some luggage during our hike
Review 7:Wifi only worked while in the café.
Review 8:Position to town
Review 9:The breakfast was excellent, best breakfast of my many weeks in Europe. Staff friendly and helpful , the sauna was a nice touch
Review 10:Some staff spoke no English, was difficult checking in and enquiring about services
Review 11:The location was 5min walk from town centre, 10min walk from train. What you would expect from a hotel for this price in this area
The Fine Print
