Review 1：Our experience began very badly. The hotel is very far from town - maybe30 minutes drive. We went from the ferry, on a bus, and then walked 10minutes, to the place we were told the shuttle made a pickup at 10;30am. By 10;45 I called the hotel, and found out we were at the rightbuilding, but wrong corner. After much confusion, the driver appearedand we were happy - for 5 seconds. The driver (Giuseppe) was angry,slammed our bags in the back, slammed the door, and gave us the nastiestlook. I apologized for the confusion, he glared at me. He spent the next20 minutes telling us how we ruined everything, and mumbling angrywords, sometimes in Italian, some in English. It was a horrible"welcome to Sorrento", and if my room hadn't been alreadypaid for I would've gone elsewhere. This colored our whole stayhere, which is too bad. To add to this, when I looked at Booking.comwhile at the hotel, and put in the days we were staying there, the pricewas nearly $20 a nigh less! Overall, a bad experience because of our"welcome".

Review 2：Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially frontdesk. Very good breakfast. Well maintained and cared for, good views.Nice deck on roof where you can order food - had a delicious lunchthere one day.

Review 16：Everything - the location was stunningly beautiful, the staff was extremely accommodating and courteous, the value for our money was excellent. It definitely had the feel of a "real" hotel, but was small enough to be very personal. The location was very removed from town, but their shuttle to town addressed that perfectly.

Review 19：It was too far from Sorentto town to be able to walk in. However they did offer a regular free shuttle bus service morning and night I didn't like that they added 10% service charge on food and drink I understand for ordering in the room or by the swimming pool but not when you go down to the bar and order but they won't let you collect it yourself. Basically they add it to everything so just put the price up so you know what your actually paying.

I would have appreciated knowing this at time of purchase

I liked being away from centre of Sorrento and we thought the shuttle service was so idea and being free was a fab idea. We will return as its easy to transfer to different parts of the coast line and islands.

Review 27：This is a great place to stay up in the hills away from the bustle of Sorrento. The views are amazing. It is very well managed with excellent staff. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food is superb. It could be further improved if the outside dining area could be enclosed when the weather is not so good.

Our bed was uncomfortable and the mattress had sunk in the middle. Although the view is brilliant, and in spite of what the web-site says, the hotel is actually quite far from Sorrento, it took us a good 20 minutes drive into town (although a shuttle runs to and from the hotel every couple of hours). Staff were ok but not greatly helpful. Overall, I had the feeling that the whole place was in need of renovation.

Review 34：It is 30 minutes from Sorrento up in the hills. For a single night sleep that we had there, it was not worth the hassle after all for us. But if you are by car crossing the hills anyway, it is a nice place to stay.

Review 35：The view is breathtaking, both Amalfi and Sorrento can be seen from the hotel. The garden of the hotel is a great touch. The shuttle is a must to use because it is really out of Sorrento. For this reason they really try everything to accomodate you which was nice. Personnel was very serviceful.

Review 47：The pleasant and helpful receptionists: Marie, Roberto, Mary, Adele were always ready with orientation, advice and support whenever needed during my four-day stay. The driver, Senor Lollo, added his own special brand of charm to every shuttle ride and made the short trip to, and from, the town an educational experience.

Review 48：The hotel is approx 20 drive outside Sorrento. There is a shuttle bus service but it is basic and I don't think the one drop off point is very convenient. Last return time from Sorrento is also far too early (23.00) and taxis are extremely expensive. Expect to pay €45-€60 one way from Sorrento to hotel.

The panoramic views of the mountains and the beautiful bay of Naples with Vesuvius centre stage were amazing.

Review 54：Very far from town center. Room was very outdated and extremely difficult to sleep in bc it wad so loud in the hallway. Last shuttle from town is at 11pm so you can't stay long after dinner. My matress had springs that dug into me while i slept.

Review 57：Nice rooms, great staff, the thing where you get to order stuff and they bring it to you whereever you are. They have a free bus to two restaurants and the city with a nice driver. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, guy at the bar is nice, 2 laptops in the reception for guests to use. Keep in mind, they use a lot of colour thoughout the building.

Review 60：The picture of the property is a bit misleading. It sits right on the road which could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. The view of Sorrento is best seen by walking across the road to the parking lot. It's also a bit inconvenient being several kilometers outside Sorrento. The hotel has a shuttle bus but the times are limited. A bus comes by but doesn't always stop. It didn't stop for us but the staff kindly arranged for an unscheduled shuttle bus ride. If you miss the shuttle, a cab ride is expensive. We had to leave a play a few minutes early to be sure we didn't miss the last shuttle. It doesn't wait.The rooms are small and kind of Spartan, but the beds are comfortable and the room was very clean. There is a small bar but not really any lounge where you can relax comfortably. If you are driving (we were) good luck easily finding the place, but once you do, parking is free.

Review 61：The price was reasonable, perhaps because we booked well in advance. Parking is free. Staff is helpful. There is a pool with comfortable lounges.

Review 62：The hotel is beautiful, set amongst beautiful gardens and scenery. It is only a 20 minute free shuttle to Sorrento. It is well priced and ensuring writing the hotel was cheaper than down in Sorrento itself. The staff were lovely and helpful and the rooms were clean, comfy and spacious.

Helpful staff w arranging trips/amalfi/Capri... Cute roof top seating. Our room had a private terrace. Free parking.

Although it was up in the mountains, a shuttle bus brought you right to downtown Sorrento or to 2 close-by restaurants. Il Panorama restaurant was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. Staff made you feel you were the only one in the restaurant. Hotel only provides breakfast, but has an abundant snack menu that is delicious, affordable, and service to your room is prompt. Rooms were well-decorated, overall comfortable, very clean, beautiful view. Pool was clean, lots of lounge chairs, great view.

Review 70：The very first night we were there it was 80+ degrees and the air conditioner was not running which made the room very, very uncomfortable. If the shuttle bus ran more often that would have been great but otherwise we loved the hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento!! Oh, and definitely need a box of tissues in the bedroom!

Review 73：This hotel overlooks the city of Sorrento and surrounding waters. The view is amazing. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We were in Italy for two weeks and stayed in several hotels. This was the best by far. Prices were reasonable, rooms were clean with great amenities. Plan to stay here again if I return to Italy.

Review 75：This hotel is located on the hills above Sorrento and the views are stunning, the trip to Sorrento in the free shuttle bus takes around 25 minutes and is very scenic. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff can't do enough for you there is free wifi that actually works and the breakfast was great. Room service was very quick and food/drinks were not expensive.

Review 76：The room is small but that was my experience in multiple hotels in Italy. It may just be the American in me that isn't used to that. The location is very high up which does provide the spectacular view but isn't the most convenient for dining and wandering through Sorrento.

We booked a tour using the hotel, assuming it would be a tour guide and include entrance to locations, it was just for a driver and we had to pay our own way and go around by ourselves.

Review 93：The transfer took 20-25 minutes down a very windy road. This is not good if you are at all travel sick. The transfer only went three times in the morning and three times in the evening with ok transfer at all between 11.30-5.00. This meant you couldn't go out for lunch and then back to the hotel. It also meant that going out in the evening was an ordeal. The hotel had a transfer to two nearby restaurants and we tried one that was ok. The hotel was also so high up it was in cloud the entire time we were there whereas the weather in Sorrento was lovely and sunny. This meant that it was cold and damp and no way we could sit on our 'sea view' balcony that we had paid extra for.

Review 97：The staff was wonderful, particularly Maria Giovanni and Roberto. They were extremely helpful in planning our tours and recommending restaurants. There was always a smile on their faces and they made us feel at home. In addition, the location was spectacular! Although not really close to the city of Sorrento, the views were amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 98：Way too far out of town, and although the shuttle was reliable, you were still tied by their limited timings and drop off points. Too dangerous to walk down the road at night so you feel very cut off and tied to the hotel. Much colder up in the hills than in town, although this could be an advantage in the summer, it wasn't in October.

Review 102：The hotel was noisy, as a group of relatively young people was allocated rooms on either side of our bedroom. To get to the car-park it was necessary to cross a road in front of the hotel where cars often travelled at high speeds around bends on either side of the hotel which limited our ability to see the cars in advance. There is no restaurant for evening meals in the hotel so it is necessary to find a restaurant in the surrounding area, though the hotel does provide a shuttle service to the restaurants.

Review 103：The view , though this was limited by the fact that our bedroom was on the ground- floor level with a very busy road outside. Shuttle services are available to Sorrento at regular intervals.

Review 115：The Panoramic Restaurant affiliated with the hotel was terrible. The hotel shuttle drops you off and picks you up from this restaurant. We were seated along with a few other people in a small room with a tiny window in the back of the restaurant. The whole front area of the restaurant ( where the panoramic view is) was not open. The entrees were mediocre. They served frozen store bought Tiramisu. Won't eat there again.

Review 127：The view from room 301 is outstanding and very quiet. We found the complementary van transportation to be very helpful. If you don't stay directly in Sorrento, then the Hotel Prestige is the place to stay.

Review 128：On the minus side , no hotel restaurant was available when we stayed , but shuttle service was available free of charge to take us to and from local restaurants. Another small minus , no comfortable lounge area to relax in- only a couple of sofas in reception area.

Review 129：What an absolute fantastic hotel. We were travelling as two couples and all of us were made to feel very welcome by all of the staff. All were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. These included waitresses , domestic cleaners , front of house and the shuttle drivers.----------- The shuttle service was excellent into Sorrento - always on time. We used the hotels own tourist trips , and Joseph the driver was so knowledgeable being a local himself. He took us to vantage points which were off the tourist tracks ! Shuttle service to and from the train station excellent as well. We emailed hotel to state what time we were arriving at Sorrento train station from Naples , and they picked us up free of charge

Review 130：Location is poor...about 20 minutes from town, very difficult to find, almost impossible at night. Views not as good as hoped for, high up in fog and breeze. They do provide a shuttle but limited times of operation.
