Review 1：Personal touches and the staff were helpful with additional blankets for my father-in-law. Christmas day lunch was spectacular and we hosted some friends.Delicious breakfast.

Review 2：The hostel is superb, especially its friendly staffs, for example jakarb helps me a lot. I never expect I have such a good service in a hostel. The facilities in the room are quite cool, they even equipped with two toilets in one bathroom.I think it is mainly because it is a hotel running a hostel business. So you got all these amazing facilities out of expectation. I will def choose to stay here again if I return.

Review 5：The stuff was very nice. I stayed in a hotel room which islike a regular hotel room of 3-4, star hotel room with bathroom inside and you can still share the room like an hostel. Good confort.

Review 6：The staff is friendly and really helpful. They really paid attention to your request. I wasn't impressed when I found that there's mold in the bathtub, but they cleaned it well after I told them about it at the reservation. The room I stayed was a 6-beds female dormitory room which gave me a really nice experience as a solo traveler.

Review 8：This was by far the best place I have stayed during my trip to Italy. Staff was always willing to go above and beyond to help with any questions I had! Even calling to see if tours where going to Vesuvius during rainy weather. Rooms are cleaned everyday and you get fresh towels everyday (not a common practice in hostels)! Wifi was great, went down for part of a day but I think that had something to do with a storm that happened early in the morning. Located less then a 15 min walk to center square. Can't say enough positive things about this place. Be warned if you are looking for a place that has an outdoor sitting area this is not it, but there are several local parks and square with quiet benches for an afternoon rest!

Review 11：The hostel gets discount for Ulisse swimming pool which is in the hotel but not part of it , if that makes sense ! This service is not good ,rude staff and charge 5 euro per person to swim and a further 10 euro's per person if you dont take a swimming cap. you have to take your own towels and you cant just mess about in the water as the whole pool is split into lanes , cant let this take away from the hostel though as it is a service you might appreciate if not travelling with small children who want a swim. the spa looked amazing as well.

Review 12：At the end of a charming narrow cobbled shopping street. Everything was perfect for us. we had 2 good sized rooms next door to each other , one family with 2 kids and the other for mother and 91 year old grandmother. still cant believe this is a hostel and not a hotel. 1st class.

Review 15：The dorm rooms are the worst I've been in to date. There are no space to put your luggage and no power points to change your phones particularly if you're in the top bunk. This should be fixed asap - we all need to charge our phones and cameras! The dorm room bathrooms were dirty and mouldy. When I changed to the private rooms the bathrooms were much better. Some of the staff were extremely rude particularly the middle age gentlemen. The hotel wifi wasn't working for the day and I went to approach him. As soon as I did he started making a phone call and continued that conversation for almost ten minutes while I just stood there in front of him. Luckily a younger girl came 10 mins later and gave me an alternative wifi password to use in the lobby which was helpful.

Review 20：The sound insulation to the hotel corridor isnt very good. From 7 am when cleaners start working, it wasnt easy to sleep anymore without ear plugs.

Review 32：It is hard to fault the Ulisse but i would say that all of the wardrobes in the 6 bed dormitory were locked on my arrival and when everyone had departed one remained locked?...i think these need to be reviewed more regularly to ensure there is adequate space for people to lock away their belongings if needed (i felt very safe anyway with my bag just locked beside my bed, but i know this doesn't suit everyone) I would also say that the coffee from the machine at breakfast is pretty bad, but the coffee from behind the bar is much better, aslong as you like a continental breakfast and tinned fruit you are fine and this met my needs. The spa is also 22euro a day (which i think is priced differently online) and the swimming pool was closed.

Review 33：I was welcomed into the Ulisse with lots of smiles and attentive staff, very much needed after a long journey. Roberto was extremely helpful, alongside Maria who just couldnt do enough for you..she let me print out travel documents behing reception which was a great help and gave me amazing coffee from behind the bar at breakfast. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hostel (hotel) to others or staying here again :)

Review 41：Every morning !!! we were woken around 7.30am onward by housekeepingcleaning and noisily!! Dragging beds and furniture around in the rooms,next to us above us, 2 rooms away etc etc. Another morning we hadmaintenance work at 8.00am till we left at 11am, no way could you sleepthrough this or the housekeeping. When we complained, and requested aquite room ,Guiseppe told us "nothing he could do ! all the roomsare as noisy !!! "... I would suggest, start the housekeepingafter 10.00am We are on holiday !!! P.S. don't get the "Hostelrecommended luxury transport" from hostel to airport. It does notpick you up from the front door !. it does not go direct to Airport !it takes longer than public bus and is €25.00 .. €15.00 dearer thanpublic transport

They were able to give us a lot of information and recommendations on what to do, where to eat, the best tour guides etc. The location was great as well as it was within walking distance of both the marina and the main town centre. It's a little difficult to find at first as it is down the stairs and a little off the map. The room is very simple but exactly what you need in a hot country. It was very comfortable. Review 52：Nothing bad, just note that I booked two rooms and the hotel wrote to ask whether I would like to have two separate rooms or two connected romms. I chose the letter but then realised the it was actually changed from an apartment which mean one room is big and another is relatively small and only one entrance which have to pass through one room .Next time, I'll choose the separate room.

Review 53：It's very clean and equipped with all you need. The room is also very quite. The hotel is not so close to the beach(by walking maybe 10 to 15m), but on the way to the beach, you'll pass a lot of nice shops, restaurant. So it's not a problem for us. Staff is also very nice.

The hostel was high standard and does not feel like a hostel at all. My stay was perfect. Staffs were really friendly and nice they even helped me print my boarding pass. Review 89：It was a reasonable walk to the hotel from the train station. Not short but not to long either... Nice lobby, modern interior, very friendly and helpful staff. At breakfast which was a buffet, scrambled eggs are normally served. Because the hotel was not that busy, they were not serving them in the buffet, so the server asked if we would like an egg, and would make them anyway we would like them. We were very surprised by this service,which in my opinion was above and beyond. Our tablet had problems with the standard WIFI, to help us out the staff arranged for us to get access to their WIFI in the lobby, which worked flawlessly. Both examples are how the staff performed above and beyond in my book and helped make our stay very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 90：The shower water wasn't quite as hot as I would have liked it, but I guess this is for economy. As our room was at the back of the hotel, the road down to Marina Grande ran below our window, and it was occasionally noisy in the early morning. However, this was not a huge problem and would not put us off going again.

Review 91：We booked at this 'Hostal' on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't disappointed. It is located less than 15 minutes walking distance from both the rail and bus stations, down a quiet street. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast girl was extremely pleasant. Even the cleaning staff all gave us a smile when they said buon giorno. The breakfast offered all that we wanted and was constantly being replenished. Our room was large and very comfortable, with plenty of wardrobe / drawer space. We had a good view up the hillside from our window, which looked lovely in the evenings with all the lights.

She gave me prices and train timetables so we could plan our trips to Pompeii and the volcano and sorted the boat trip to Capri. Hotel is located walking distance from all the main areas including train station and harbour. Lovely big rooms with a great view. Breakfast is quite nice too. Would def recommend to all.

Review 104：I choose this hotel because it had a pool and my children wanted a pool for the duration of our stay but the hotel failed to let me know that it was closed for the whole of August as you can imagine it spoiled my childrens holiday But was offered to use the spa which Cost 22 euros per day per person but had to be 16 to use!! so if taking children check first if the pool is going to be open during your date.

It was walking distance to the center of Sorrento to your right and straight down the road to the Marina on your left.

Review 119：The hotel (and my room) was beautiful, airy, spacious, clean, everything about it was 'easy'. It was quiet at night and I slept like a log. The sports facilities (inc. large pool) looked great although I did not have time to use them. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful. I was even made a sandwich to eat when I arrived (although the kitchen was not open). The location is fantastic, 5 minutes to both the town centre and the Marina Grande. No steps to climb at the end of the night! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Review 121：Great value for the money - it has everything you could want. Great breakfast, huge rooms which are extremely comfortable and clean, the lobby is huge and nice. It's a great location just few minutes walk from the restaurants, etc., close to Marina Grande. About 20 min walk from the train/bus stations or the ferry port. We stayed there four years ago as well and will stay there the next time we are in the area.

Review 122：Ulisse Deluxe Hostel (really a hotel) was very nice. The staff in particular were exceptionally helpful, explaining the ferry boat system to us and making a phone call for us. The location is sort of tucked away, but right near Sorrento's main drag. The lobby is surprisingly grand. Breakfast is full but not free. Out of all the hotels that my wife and I went to on our lengthy honeymoon, Ulisse Deluxe was my wife's favorite. This was not because it had the most character (it did not), but that everything worked and everything was convenient. While it doesn't have the sweeping views of some Sorrento places, it's a good solid stay.

Review 129：Like many previous reviews, using wifi at night is almost impossible even at the hotel lobby. That area may not be safe for solo traveller in the early morning. I checked out around 530am to catch the 6am bus to rome at the train station. On summer, 530am is almost daybreak. Out at the main road of the hotel, there is an aggressive and very persistent gypsy waiting there and demanding money. Not the hotel fault but i won't stay at the hotel again if I am traveling alone to sorrento.

Pre-welcome mail with useful info was sent to me prior to arrival, very impressive. Rooms are large & comfortable with all facilities needed. Perfect location, quiet but still within 5-10 min. walking distance to city center & train station. This is the second time I stayed here, and definitely it will always be my choice for Sorrento future visit.
