Reviews for Kamakura Park Hotel
Review 1:This was in no way a bad experience. The only downside to this lovely hotel is that it's in the opposite direction from the train station to all of the other kamakura sights.
Review 2:Hotel was beautiful, right on the ocean. Wonderful, friendly staff
Review 3:Noisy road in front of the hotel prevents sleeping with the window open.
Review 4:Pleasant traditional hotel in nice position on the waterfront. Excellent English speaking staff. Choice of Japanese and European restaurants both of excellent standard. It is some distance to the centre of Kamakura and requires use of the local train.
Review 5:The room rate is too expensive as it is not in a popular area and there are no restaurants or convenient stores near by. If the room is facing the ocean and street, it can be very noisy. We indicate our preference for a quiet room and although the view is not impressive, we had a nice sleep. The bath tub is far too deep and elderly people have to pay extra care when taking their bath.
Review 6:The location is good if you travel with a car or else the nearest station is a bit far away. The staff are polite and can speak English well. We went for the half board option and both dinners were superb especially the crab one on the second night.
Review 7:Just a small suggestion: it would be handy to have chairs on the balcony. A long chair would be even better.
Review 8:It was amazing to have a balcony with ocean view. The room was very comfortable. The food was excellent (we took the half-board).
Review 9:A bit too far from the center of Kamakura
Review 10:The staff was extremely nice and as foreigners, they gave us the chance to speak with local people. Comfortable, fancy, by the ocean and inexpensive compared to other hotels we have been to in Kamakura.
Review 11:Not many restaurants within close walking distance. TexMex menu and services below average plus smokers smoke travels every where especiall in best seating area near open windows. Weekend traffic along water is always stop and go both directions. Many restaurants within 1-2 Km don't have much parking available. Traffic and parking in Kamakura city difficult at best.
Review 12:Well run operation. Close to beaches good walk path along the water. Good restaurants within short drive along water . Good bay/ocean views sometimes parking available but limited.
Review 13:A bit far from the train station. Not easy to reach with luggage.
Review 14:The view and the service.
Review 15:Great location. Walking distance to temples and Buddha. Staff very helpful. Ocean view from room.
Review 16:It's so close to the road and very noisy at night. We paid yen90,000 for a 3 ppl bedroom which is too expensive for a four star hotel.
Review 17:very relaxing
Review 18:Friendly staff that actuallu spoke english and always had best service. Really recommends this hotel!
Review 19:I was charged more than quoted!
Review 20:Great location. Friendly (though, stiff) staff. Excellent amenities.
Review 21:A bit on the outskirts of downtown.
Review 22:Very comfortable rooms and helpful and attentive staff.
Review 23:Quite a long walk to the centre and from restaurants.
Review 24:Large room with comfortable sofa and view of the sea. Two excellent restaurants - one French and the other Japanese specialising in delicious crab. Easy walk to Hase-dera and Daibutsu and beginning of Daibutsu hiking trail.
Review 25:I found the hotel excellent in all regards. It's in easy walking distance to the Hase station on the Enoden line and up the hill to the Great Buddha. Things close relatively early in Kamakura on a Sunday evening and it was great to be able to eat in the hotel after 8:00 pm. The staff was very friendly and my Japanese-style room was clean and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel.
Review 26:Bed was too firm for my liking. Distance to train station was a bit farther than preferred.
Review 27:The staff was amazing as was the cleanliness. Very nice bath, great restaurants. The ocean view was nice. Overall a wonderful stay. And did I mention how awesome the staff was?
Review 28:Room is a little bit small.
Review 29:A very nice family hotel facing the beach. Ten mins walk to the rail station. Surrounded by Japanese houses in a very quiet and clean town. It is time for the faithful journey to the temples nearby.
Review 30:A thoroughly first-class hotel, staff not only willing to help butvolunteering help discreetly. The food, both traditional Japanese andwestern, was excellent. An atmosphere of quiet luxury. Hotel situatedclose to sea with fine views.
Review 31:Our stay was too short:)
