Reviews for Park Westerkogge
Review 1：I was very angry about the deposit handling . On arrival the clerk gave me all kinds of instructions and papers, one of which was slip I MUST keep in order to collect the 50EU deposit. On departue I could find it at first, meaning the club will colect 50EU which it shouldn't! I take this as an abuse . It is NOT my job to kep track of my host's paperwork. You want a deposit? Fine, but you register it in your computer, and don't hold me hostage for a little piece of paper, which you give me along with tons of info. I'm a tourist, not an accountant!!! Landel has similar resorts, even better but it doesn't bother its residents like that and cost considerably less.
Review 2：The oven did not function (was known to reception but not mentioned when we arrived and should have been repaired beforehand). No towels (on booking.com you can however not reserve these). We got a smokers place, clearly not what we would look for, but there is no option on booking.com to avoid this. The service charge, which is not in the booking.com price, is substantial (we paid Euro 115 on a rental of Euro 500). Kitchen equipment like pans were rather old/used. Given the location it can be very windy and the ventilation canals very noisy (if you sleep light...)
Review 3：The living/kitchen of the house was relatively new/modern. Wifi was good (but will cost you) and TV channels sufficient.
Review 4：The park counts an additional service charge of 27 euro per person. This was not advertised by Booking.com in the total charge which we accepted for the booking. We only discovered on the day of arrival that we needed to pay 108 euro additional on top of the reservation charge of 123 euro. Nearly double we needed to pay!!
