Review 3：The room was clean and the bathroom quite large. Plantation shutters facing out onto the terrace gave the room a nice tropical feel and the reception staff were very nice.

And the plug didn't fit, it leaked water out. Went down stairs to have a spa and it was freezing cold????? Both hairdryers didn't work - These things really let the overall experience down - probably wouldn't choose hotel again based on these things.

Review 13：I Liked the whole experience at Hotel Cairns, it was so nice to just be in a traditional hotel for QLD and not just a standard hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Really looking forward to the updating that they are doing now, as it will only improve the ambience of the place.

Review 14：Staff was not friendly or helpful. I was trying to get the wifi to work, and then receptionist had me trying to connect all over the hotel. Ended up that they didnt have it plugged it - would have been great for him to check that first. Hotel was a run down.

Review 18：The garden surrounds and hotel facade put us in a tropical mood immediately. Hotel rooms were smaller than anticipated, bathroom very outdated but very clean and serviced every day during our 5 day stay. Restaurant for breakfast was very filling and fresh-very good value and friendly wait staff. Pool was beautiful and although always quite warm,very refreshing. Can recommend for a great place to completely chill out.

We could easily hear people in otherrooms. Alarms, conversations (not pleasant whilst staying with children)and bags rolling past our room. We were awoken at 5am every morning.I'm not sure how they got a four star rating.

Review 131：The very limited option of only having a "Hot Rock" menu for dinner . I dined out each night as I am not a fan of this type of dining. e.g. You cannot control the the cooking process. If you loike a rare or medium rare steak for example the meat continues to cook while you are eating and you end up with overcooked food
