Reviews for Bleu Village

Review 1:The fantastic view from our courtyard and great sunsets. There is ample parking on site. The beach can be accessed via stairs. Be sure to have dinner at the restaurant called Slow Bar on the beach.

Review 2:The best way to describe the accommodation would be back packers. The poorly contained accommodation was full of German tourist who were arrogant and ignorant but whst else can you expect from Germans. Breakfast was included but it was so disgusting I elected to fight the local dogs for food.

Review 3:Nothing. Apart ftom the restaurant own the , on the corner.

Review 4:Breakfast was a terrible experience down 250 stairs, was supposed to gotill 9.30 am. Had nothing left by 8.45 and staff packing up at 9 ????.Rooms were very dark1 small window, terrible lights, toilet stunk

Review 5:The pool

Review 6:First of all, the hotel of 3* can't propose one cleaning per week only and without changing the linen and the towels. We stayed 8 days, so no cleaning at all. Looks like camping. Without car you can't stay there. The place was far away and dawn the stairs, 5-7 levels down the hill. So this hotel is not suitable for old people or of not good health. Far away from everything. The plages were stony and not free. Only 1 small piece of the beach was free and full of people. We moved everyday to different places, so it was ok, we rented the car.

Review 7:I liked just one thing - we got the terrace with a beautiful sea view. And our bungalow was the last in the row, pity for others.

Review 8:Internet only worked if you were down by the pool - I paid for 7 days access and maybe had 30 mins online. Cost not an issue, but was very inconvenient. It was a long walk to any transport and the bungalow was VERY small.

Review 9:Staff were great, very helpful

Review 10:The mattresses were very old and saggy. Some of the kitchen equipment was quite old. There was loud music and entertainment by the main pool for several hours each day. None of these reasons would stop me from staying there again though.

Review 11:Beautiful setting in a quiet non-touristy area but with good transport links to other towns inc. Pompei. Our bungalow had a patio surrounded by olive, lemon, lime trees and grape vines and wisteria with a sea view. We loved the pool with the water slides. Staff were friendly and helpful and all spoke English. 10 min walk to supermarket and restaurants.

Review 12:Ants. Evening activities for Italians only. Lack of site information/emergency information

Review 13:Staff were superb. Pool was great. Grounds and facilities very well maintained. Felt very safe for children to enjoy themselves unsupervised as s well as an excellent kids club.

Review 14:The air-conditioning was very, very noisy when we went to sleep on a night:( I was not impressed by the cooking facilities.

Review 15:The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They recommended the restaurant Tico tico on the nearby sea front as a restaurant which served gluten free food, (my daughter is coeliac). The place itself had such a happy atmosphere as everyone seemed to be relaxed and enjoying themselves at the Bleu Village. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and also plenty of shaded areas for guests to sit in if they wanted to. I also loved the fact that we could catch the train to Sorrento so easily.

Review 16:The bungalow could have been a bit cleaner, we did feel sorry for the cleaner who had to tidy it up after a group of young men who went wild!

Review 17:Fantastic location

Review 18:Pool and grounds staff focused on a local kids camp not paying guests. Pool taken over and microphone constantly in use.Wifi connectivity a problem.

Review 19:Liked the individual bungalows. Bungalows clean and efficient- beautiful view.

Review 20:The rooms were a bit dark for my liking but not a deal breaker

Review 21:The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Angela at the snack bar. Our kids enjoyed the water slides and trampolines. A much needed break for them from all the sightseeing. FYI you need to wear swim caps which were easily available for purchase at the snack bar for 2.50 euro. Our rooms were clean. No bed bugs like other reviewers mention.

Review 22:The wifi was turned off each time we went out and took at least an hour to get turned back on each time we returned to our room - with MANY phone calls to reception to get assistance! Then had to pay 5 Euros each day for such bad access to wifi!!!

Review 23:The staff were very helpful when asked. They spoke good English!

Review 24:The nice house located in the calm village with big parkongplace, possibility to have the dinner outside-it is what our family expected and got, easy get beach and towny around. The host was very kind and helpfull. Convenient kitchen and fresh temperature in the house in spite of hot weather.

Review 25:I have pretty much nothing good to say about Meta. The traffic is horrible. Cars drive very fast and very close to the pedestrians (and don't slow down even for the children). The Meta public beaches are the worst I have been to anywhere in the mediterranean. The water is murkey and the rocks are sharp and jagged. The club beaches are only slightly better and are overrun with locals.

Review 26:The resort itself is wonderful. The staff is very friendly, the facilities are excellent, and the views are especially good. The bungalows are somewhat rustic, but it's a great place for families. Our kids loved the swimming pool.

Review 27:It is build on a hill so not for the faint hearted. Rooms are very dated, looked like a log cabin. Very smelly from the heat.

Review 28:The pool area is nice but can get very busy. Felt like a kids holiday camp. The views are amazing.

Review 29:The room was essentially a shipping container and the bed was as hard as a rock, the lighting was terrible. The place in general was not very nice. If they spent some money on their rooms then it could be great

Review 30:The views from the location & the service given was excellent

Review 31:the steps wouldnt recomend for someone unfit

Review 32:the veiw and the people the food(go to pepe's resturant the golden beach down the steps) the complex itself is a bit dated but for the price you can really enjoy your holiday

Review 33:Meta is the perfect quaint Italian village, 4 km away from Sorrento. Minutes walk away from the train that runs every 30 minutes to Sorrento, or Naples. Great restaurants and good values outside the door. Right next to the beautiful Mediterrenean beaches. Beautiful views, orange, lemon, and olive tree groves. Great value. Excellent stay. Very helpful staff, knowledgeable of all.

Review 34:The front office staff were not informative and disconnected, they lacked hospitable kindness, and were dismissive. The WiFi never worked, multiple tries they never were able to provide Internet at the wifi zone nor paid zone . Our cabin phone did not work, our outlets did not work.

Review 35:We loved the location, we like the view, the large trampolines were a great hit with our family and the restaurant staff was so kind and gracious.

Review 36:no kettle to make tea of coffee been bitten by ants. a bit noisy with 1 group until after 1am in the morning

Review 37:Good location only 4 kilometres from Sorrento, very clean but I up graded to have kitchen in cottage small shop so you can purchase latta (Milk) very friendly staff especially in the little shop (my daughter and I adored mama in the shop)

Review 38:No exaggeration, the "rustic hillside cabin" was a shed up a load of steps. Thin walls, noisy neighbours, dark, dingy and dirty, and the hardest mattress I've ever slept on.

Review 39:Checking out

Review 40:We liked the nice view to the sea, garden with winegrapes and lemons, short way to the beach, market, train and bus stations, possibility to visit Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Vesuvio, Pompei, Capri, Napoli by public transport.

Review 41:Worst bed/ room/ bathroom I have ever encountered. We considered leaving even though our card was already charged. It was a step down from camping.

Review 42:Stairs, and stairs-- in this geographical area everything is on a steep cliff and not the fault of Blue V-- but luggage was difficult to haul up and down the 182 steps from mail level to our cabin. Don't book breakfast- only sugary buns etc. Waterside closes 6:15 pm, Pool closes 6:30 pm....... Couldn't understand that. We still found it unique though and would recommend it.

Review 43:Between Sorrento and Pompeii, close to train station and good location. Mostly Italians staying there- we liked the immersion. Beautiful sunsets. Lots to see and do.

Review 44:kids and adults HAVE to wear little cotton caps on their head in the water. THere were no towels for the bathroom to shower or for your feet. I found this very inconvenient since we travelled from canada. TERRIBLE data/internet connection- so don't bother! Don't spend the 7 Euro a day for breakfast as you can get a better breakfast right at the end of the hotel entry at a local pasticceria.

Review 45:Pool with watersides kept the children entertained.

Review 46:stairs to the plage - too many

Review 47:excellent view, environement with many olive trees, very pleaseant swimming pools, it's very good place in this region to spend a holiday with children: patio, swimming pools, nice old city in neighborghood, close to markets. Good place to city tour in sorrento, naples, pompei, or ischia and capri

Review 48:Moles, but it is not sth special about that place - they are just everywhere in Italy. Second minus is for parking. On booking.com you can find an information that reservation for parking is needed. When You get there you find out that places are not reserved, and it is hard sometimes to find a space to park the car.

Review 49:Location is really good. Close to the sea + free bus to get You there. Nice Pool. Close to nice and cheap restaurants.

Review 50:some anti insect window/door screens will help a lot.

Review 51:The seaview from terrace, close(for sorrento area) to the sea, helpful staff. Plenty of trees in the village provide nice shadow in the summer months.

Review 52:There was no laundry service close by

Review 53:It was very relaxing staying at Bleu Village. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. They offered free shuttles to the bus stop, and also to the beach

Review 54:The bungalow was dirty. The door handle was broken and one window would not shut. There were ants everywhere, including in my children's beds.

Review 55:The pools, especially the slides. The view and the location.

Review 56:That it's not that clear how to get from the airport to Meta. We ended up in Sorrento by bus and had to pay for a expensive cab to get to bleu village.

Review 57:The view! It was awesome. Also the pool was very nice. The staff was the best. I do think that a little bus from bleu village to the trainstation would be nice. But walking was fine too. But we just loved the environment!

Review 58:The location, the pool, the view

Review 59:Party atmosphere, but it was shut down by midnight and quieted down really quickly.

Review 60:Location as it was a quick trip to Sorrento from here.

Review 61:The cabins were very small. It was more for a younger generation.

Review 62:Pool and the grounds were very nice.

Review 63:We paid for the breakfast but there were only few breads and drinks....

Review 64:Many things to play. Swimming pool, slides, and many more..

Review 65:Bad wi-fi -- mountains

Review 66:Most everything!

Review 67:The restaurant and facilities were not well advertised! They could of provided a map as it was a large complex

Review 68:Pool area

Review 69:A lot of stairs...

Review 70:LOCATION! Panorama View

Review 71:Friendly and helpful staff! Great view view over the bay of Naples from the bungalow!

Review 72:Occasionally noisy from big groups.

Review 73:No entertainment running

Review 74:Ideal location for travelling around the coast

Review 75:1 km rough terrain from meta,

Review 76:Views,

Review 77:Location

Review 78:From here it is an easy commuite to many famous places.

Review 79:- location - personal was very friendly - price

Review 80:great scenery and slide with pool

Review 81:in 10 days never cleared bungalow, but we didn't ask. it is not a big problem for us.

Review 82:exellent place, everything is good

Review 83:Bleu Village is located in meta. Sorrento is just 2-3 train stops away, but do not get off the train in Sorrento, or it will be a 40 Euro cabride. There is a train stop in Meta. I recommend minimal luggage...thereare many stairs throughout the complex and your bungalo may be situatedup many flights.

Review 84:The bungalos were kind of like cabins, so it felt a little more"rustic". The staff was very helpful in directing us to thevarious sites to see in the area. Overall we had a great experience andenjoyed our stay.

Review 85:Swimming pool and leasure area were closed (May), many groups of school children (can be noisy although not for us). Houses are very small, too small when weather is rainy

Review 86:Beautiful view on Bay of Naples, near Circumvesuviana Station. Terrace for most of the houses

Review 87:The access to the village is relatively complicated and there is a lot of adolescent people in groups using this as their accommodation so if there would be more of them it could get quite noisy. Also it is quite pricey for the accommodation that you get.

Review 88:The bungalow and the calmness and quick responses of the staff. Also the level of English was very good for that region.

Review 89:No washing up liquid or cloth provided. Very difficult to dry anything in bungalow.

Review 90:Sea view and sunsets were amazing. Reception staff very helpful in giving advice on local trips and sights. Very good value for money, very spacious bungalow with terrace.

Review 91:Be prepared that access is via narrow, steep windy roads. We got lost getting there but last couple of turns are signposted. Fairly small bungalow, we have been spoilt elsewhere but this unit was value for price paid. Had to adapt to true Italian style eg no cloth or dish washing liquid provided, 'Italian' towels (made of fabric similar to a tea towel or table cloth), must buy matches to light cooktop. None of these things spoilt our stay.

Review 92:Friendly, helpful staff, even turned on wafer slide especially for our children. Good for budget, sleeping 5 people. Parking available at Bleu Village and public transport to Sorrento and surrounds. Delicious, very cheap pizzeria in village (Meta)

Review 93:Unhelpful and unfriendly staff Temperamental wi-fi Inadequate directions (signs around the grounds) Transport to Sorrento very limited after hours

Review 94:Decent sized room Some bungalows with good view Step access to the beach

Review 95:1. No cooking facilities of any kind, not even a kettle in a supposedly self catering complex 2, No cleaning service at all, though paid for 3, No hand towels, only same 2 bath towels for whole week 4. No view of sea, as per brochure 5. No privacy, passers by could see our bed as they went by if we wanted our door open 6. No sun on terrace, blocked by olive grove 7. Smell in bathroom 8. Ants everywhere

Review 96:1. Complementary drinks on our arrival, as we waiting for our room to be ready 2. Complementary lift to bus on departure

Review 97:The accommodation is terrible, location is not very convenient, you have about 150 steps to the beach and a roar to cross. The whole place is very dirty and rubbish. In September is not anymore season. The staff is indifferent to the issues you need assistance of.

Review 98:nice views, sport and entertainment facilities.

Review 99:Breakfast only until 9.30h which made it impossible for us to go (although we paid for it in advance) as we have a long sleeping baby ;) But they gave us croissants and bread, butter and jam to eat in our bungalow. Bungalow very basic, nothing fancy but we knew in advance and kitchen corner was only used to heat up baby food anyway (bring a lighter as the hub is working with gas). Would be nice to have a little package for cleaning dishes in the bungalow (kitchen soap, drap and kitchen towel and lighter ). We requested a cot for our baby but the first one was broken and they couldn't change it in the first night. We got a new one the next day but the matress was VERY soft (just 2 pieces of foam material put together) and our baby was not able to sleep on it (we built her a bed out of matresses as we had 6 beds and only needed 2 ;) In general it would be great if hotels etc. would spend a bit more money on matresses for baby cots as they are mostly crap. Bring mosquito repellent and after bite as there are A LOT of them !

Review 100:Staff was great and did everything possible to make our stay as perfect as possible (f.e. offered a free shuttle to the bus stop on the leaving day when they saw as arriving by foot with push chair and suitcases - streets are horrible to walk). We also requested a bungalow without the need to walk stairs (as we had a push chair) and and they gave us one at the reception level which was great. It was only a bit noisey as it was exactly at the stairs leading down to the restaurant and the other levels, so lots of people passed by expecially in the morning. Pool area is also nice with baby and children pool and water slides. Playground more for older kids. Walking distance to train station about 10-15 minutes, bus stop also close by, also supermarkets and restaurants.

Review 101:Appalling living accommodation Very long steep climb to and from the beach We decided to check out after 2 days of a 7 day stay - but still had to pay the whole week Be warned - the photos don't share the full horror of this place.

Review 102:The children liked the water slides - even though they had to wear swim caps.

Review 103:The kitchens are a bit old. The hotel could use a renovation. Lots ofmosquitos. Gps takes you through very narrow streets where it isdifficult to pass with a wide car. The restaurant was a little pricey.

Review 104:The cabins were great for a family. The beach was a short walk downstone steps. The kids loved the water slides, the park and jump areas.Service was great. The restaurant food was good.

Review 105:It is quiet difficult to extract things that seemed inadequate there. May be the first impression on the bungalow was rather low - but further it appeared to be an underestimate.

Review 106:A good money-saving place next to Sorrento which is much more expensive. The beach is 160 steps down thus adding to our good physical condition. We travelled with a small dogs and the pets are well accepted. Air-conditioning worked stable. Each bungalow has its own small patio with a table and chairs - it is splendid to relax their in the morning and after 8pm. The parking place is enough to hold all the cars (only in the week-ends it is rather packed).

Review 107:They are struggling to maintain their overall infrastructure, the place is in serious need for an upgrade! If you care about clean and new facilities, you are better off somewhere else.

Review 108:Perfect if you are romantic about holiday huts from the 70s! Easy parking, good location for visiting Pompeii, amalfi ++

Review 109:Not so keen on the mosquitos. Remember & be prepared for them.

Review 110:Pools excellent for kids & adults. Mixture of activities if you wish to get involved ie aqua aerobics. Busy on Saturdays due to changeover.

Review 111:The shower basin was very shallow and the curtain was sloppy causing water to pool on the floor outside the shower.

Review 112:Location was great! Pools were awesome! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Review 113:Shower water went cold, not enough warm water for family. Tv not clearand kept losing channels

Review 114:We only used to sleep, we're out most of the day. Would recommendfor that purpose

Review 115:0 amenities at the location..no salt, soap, sugar, pepper... It reminded us of camping resorts that have activities (a little hokey).. the trampoline, soccer games etc. were set times and structured so we stayed more to the beach.

Review 116:Location, location, location...what a view and our balcony was overlooking the gulf view...We spent most of our time out on the balcony or down at the ocean. The town was awesome and we really relaxed and enjoyed the village. Of our entire trip, Rome, Venice, Florence, CInquoterre, San Giomani, this was my kids favorite

Review 117:it is very difficult to get to the sea/ there are very many steps to the beach.

Review 118:it has good park with a lot of variants to entertain children.very beautiful with trees and flowers. you can feel yourself are in the countryside sitting alone in the park near your bungalow and looking at stars and sea.

Review 119:Too expensive for the features provided, while booking its promised thatthere is a gallery attached to the room where you can see the sea, butwhat they don't tell is that the view is blocked by trees growing intheir garden and there is only a single room at each level which hasseaside view.

Review 120:The location is great, but that's it I think. The accommodation isfairly basic, yes it has a swimming pool, but then we are at beachsideanyways, so people prefer going to the beach. I would have preferred ifthe pool was open in the night after 18:00 hours.

Review 121:Have only problem with navigation, adress is completely different place.

Review 122:Location, staff.

Review 123:Too hard bed.

Review 124:Much, much better localization than most hotels in overrated Sorrento.

Review 125:Great location for my young children

Review 126:ants

Review 127:swimming pool, garden, seaview

Review 128:Don't follow GPS instructions to get there esp last 1 km- streets to narrow for car.

Review 129:the standard of the house

Review 130:the location the pool area the terasse

Review 131:Not really clean

Review 132:Great view over the bay of Sorrento / nice cousy cabin

Review 133:the road to the hotel is extremely narrow and gave a scare

Review 134:the grapes garden

Review 135:very dark in the chalet. would have been nicer to have a bigger window to sit and look out.

Review 136:The scenery and views plus the pool area was very pleasant
