Reviews for Bed en Breakfast Grote Noord

Review 1:The b&b is in a lovely old building but the rooms are on the very top which includes 2 very steep flights of stairs- almost like climbing a ladder. This was a problem for me and as far as I can tell, it was not mentioned in the details. The room is not nearly as large as it seems as being an attic, much of it has very low headroom. Aside from a tiny hanging closet, there is no storage space and the wifi reception is poor. Breakfast was ok at best. All together disappointing for the price.

Review 2:Great location in the centre of Hoorn- but be prepared not to be able to reach the b&b by car.

Review 3:tricky spiral staircase, dangerous wooden beam in bathroom (banged my head), loud noise from nearby cafe on Saturday night until 4 am

Review 4:Wonderful staff, excellent breakfast, convenient location

Review 5:nothing!

Review 6:We had a sincere and friendly welcome in this lovely old dutch house. The location is perfect; the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious.

Review 7:Did not meet owners, they were away on holiday. Neighbor was very nice and fixed breakfast. Stairs could be real challenge for some people, four sets very narrow and steep to get to your room. Building is now for sale, not sure what that means for future.

Review 8:Very old historic building, near main square in town, Good location ,very nice breakfast. Rooms unique with low ceilings.

Review 9:Loved it here will definately stay again. Room was great. The onky thing I would say if your elderly or have difficulties with stairs this is not the place to stay but we all loved it and mixed age group of men from 30 to 50.

Review 10:The dining room is beautiful and charming. The food was excellent. Our room was a double with a large bed and small but ample bathroom. It was a wonderful place to end our holiday close to the airport. It was only 40 minutes to Schiphol.

Review 11:Robert and Elska made us feel very welcome in their stunningly beautiful house. Beautiful attic rooms luxuriously fitted out. The breakfast was 5* and made such a great start to the day

Review 12:Lovely room and fabulous breakfast! The fascinating house is in a central spot with many restaurants and shops nearby so plenty to see. Robert was a very helpful host and Hoorn is certainly somewhere we will visit again..

Review 13:Thank you Elske and Robert for your wonderful and worm welcome. you have a lovely place, excellent location in a beautiful typical old Dutch old hose. Breakfast was generous and my guest that joined me for a meeting also appreciated your assistance very much. I am looking forward to my next stay at your place. By , Jonathan

Review 35:Robert & Elske made us feel as their invited guests in their beautifully restored 17th c. home. The B&B caretaker Jordis greeted us each morning in the most pleasant way, eager to make our stay the best. And it was of all the hotels we stayed at in the Netherlands for three weeks. We truly look forward to returning again. Thank you again for the great experience!

Review 43:On the Main Street not the cutest part in town but the house is gorgeous.

Review 44:Tastefully decorated and very spacious room, very accommodating owners and knowledgeable about the towns and surroundings

Review 45:The parking was a problem. It is more suitable for a bicycle trip than a car trip. The stairs are difficult for older people. But the host helps with carring luggage.

Review 46:I loved the 17th century house. The old beams are exposed and a lot of the building is still intact. The bathroom is modern and the beds are very good

Review 47:I felt bit cold, and staircase was bit narrow, but my aunt was the only one who complained that, rest of us loved that, too because that makes character of this hotel.
