Review 1：WiFi could be challenging at times. It's actually a 3G wireless router that produces signal only around the pool patio. It's good enough to check emails only, no more than that. On a bright side it helps to put the gadgets aside and enjoy the sun and birds chirping.

Review 2：The place is a hidden gem (use Google Navigator as you may also read hidden literally). From the moment you get to the property you feel relaxed and at home. The cottages surrounded by the beatiful fruit trees and grape vines. It's peaceful and well kept. A beautiful and uncrowded beach a few minutes away by car. Nazare and Sao Martinho do Porto are just about 10 minutes away by car. I would come back anytime!

Review 4：It was our 4th time in CASAL NOVO, It is a wonderful peaceful place, very well managed by its overwhelming owner Maria who makes us coming home. Moreover, Maria is always around when needed and she is supportive and helps out not only with best recommendations for trips, restaurants and beaches. The location is just great, distant from any hectic and noise of tourism, nevertheless, with countless amazing beaches nearby and very good original Portuguese restaurants around. We will definitely come back again! Christian & Friends

Review 5：The atention provided by Maria is superb, she lives in the premises, so she is really available all the time for whatever was needed, she would offer you useful things even before you'd ask for them (like a beach chair) The place is very nice, quiet, clean and is equipped with everything (blender, china, pan, whatever you need, is there) It was perfect for a couple and a toddler like us, strongly recommended. We would stay there again if we were to travel to the same area in the future.

Review 6：Look carefully – there's only a very small sign in the middle of the bushes at the driveway entrance so it's easy to miss. The internet worked OK, but not for uploading photos on Facebook. It's a city-wide problem and not the fault of the owner.

Review 7：A colorful white bungalow with gold trim. Great location next to a vineyard. All was nice and comfortable. Spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Nice terrace out front to enjoy the sunset over the vineyard. An excellent value. It's obvious a lot of attention is paid to all the details here. Maria, who speaks fluent English, went out of her way to make us feel at home and gave us fresh organic lemons. If it's not the best, Maria will work hard to make it the best. Maria is the best.

Review 9：Our bungalow was so charming, Maria's attn. to detail is amazing. We had a well equipped kitchen, a warm and inviting living space and everything was immaculate. We miss her, she felt like an instant friend. A wonderful place to relax and restore!

Review 13：The beds were a little creaky. There were dogs somewhere nearby which sometimes spoiled the peace. There was mist in the mornings and evenings (late August).

Review 14：Beautiful bungalows, spacious, clean with a lovely verandah. We loved the pool and the quiet atmosphere. Our kitchen was great with all the facilities we needed. Maria is lovely and so enthusiastic. If there's anything you need she will sort it for you. There's an inexpensive little restaurant nearby with great daily menus. If you like a morning run you can jog up the hill, down the path and onto the beach. The view from our verandah was super! A good supermarket is 10 mins drive away. Wifi.

Comfortable house with private yard, nice pool few steps away. You will be disturbed only by chirping of birds in the morning. Very kind and attentive host, helping with any questions or requests you have. Excellent choice, but note that car is a must, you will need it to go anywhere, including the beach.

Review 24：Just lovely, peaceful. Easy drive to many attractions and a great place to "come home" to. The cottages have excellent kitchen facilities and outdoor areas. There is internet access.

Review 27：We have spent a few days at Casal Novo, which turned out to be the perfect place for people who look for tranquility and privacy nearby to most beautiful beaches in Portugal. We stayed in a pretty house, very clean and very well equipped, with a spacious private terrace where we enjoyed our breakfasts or late night drinks. On top, Maria, the gorgeous soul of Casal Novo was always around to come up with perfect restaurant tips or other recommendations. Whatever you are looking for during the stay in Casal Novo - just ask Maria :-))) We will definitively come back.

Review 28：We had an excellent holiday at Casal Novo and glad we discovered it. Maria and her staff are so friendly and helpful. The accommodation is comfortable/clean and set in a beautiful and very relaxing location. They cater to your every need and always make sure that everything is ok for you. It is just outside Sao Martinho do Porto but the supermarket, beach and restaurants are just a short drive away. Location is also perfect for day trips to nearby towns such as Obidos. Review 30：Everything! The perfect place to relax and chill out. Our cottage had a large private terrace overlooking the vineyard and beautiful countryside. The cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean and comfortable. The whole of the property is magical, its very beautiful and well maintained. Fabulous swimming pool to cool off in too! Maria who runs it is amazing. She is very helpful, kind and funny! She can't do enough for you. The area is rural and natural with a sweeping Atlantic beach with crashing waves to the right, and a short drive into town to the natural cove with safe waters to paddle & swim in and bars, shops & restaurants. We also went to Foz de Ourelo beach / lagoon which is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen, and fabulous sea food restaurant. About a 10 minute drive. We also had a day-trip to Obidos - a medieval walled town which is incredibly pretty and a must-see, and onto Fatima. Best holiday!! Thank you Maria!!!

Review 31：We were glad having found that place. We had no complaints. Expect a small or bigger, 25 year old countryside villa, good to relax, not a 4 or 5 star luxury holiday (everything is there and functioning).

Review 32：5 locally and lovely furnished houses in a garden with trees and flowers are grouped around a well kept, nice, medium-sized swimming pool, close to it or a bit further. It's located in a beautiful countryside, quiet at night, 4-5 km to the marvellous bay of Sao Martinho do Porto and close to a fantastic Atlantic beach (Salgado), which can be reached in a few minutes by car (too far by foot). In August we had sunshine all days, 24-29°C at daytime, and relaxing low temperatures at night. The houses need no climatization. Many fantastic sights can easily be reached from here (Obidos, Foz do Arelho, Nazare, Alcobaca, Batalha, Fatima). Sao Martinho is still a nice, not too big, touristic village with an old core. At Casal novo Maria, the owners daughter, who sleeps in a small house on the location, cares for everybody and helps with everything you could miss or ask for. Every morning she provided us with fresh bread. Houses are cleaned every third day, when you also get fresh towels.

Review 33：Unfortunately the shower in one of the bathrooms was not draining. This was not resolved over the 4 nights we stayed. There was consequently an unpleasant smell in that bathroom. There was a similar smell in the kitchen. The cottage was full of breakable curios which may pose a problem when traveling with young children.

Review 34：Very picturesque peaceful setting. Immaculate gardens. Adjoining vineyard. Our cottage easily accommodated our family group of 5. We especially appreciated having 2 bathrooms.

Review 36：We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Casal Novo. The place is very quiet and surroundings beuatiful. Our apartament was very large, comfortable, clean and with nice decorations. The staff - Maria is superb. She is extremely helpful and gave as a lot of information what to see, where to eat - all suggested restaurants very good and reasonable. We want to come again for longer time
