Reviews for Camino Real Monterrey
Review 1:Put us in a room before it was completely ready. Never supplied coffee / tea for the in room coffee maker. No explanation of the empty Executive Club or all the room doors on floor 30 being open for the entire afternoon of our arrival. On check out, staff at front desk wearing down jackets and gloves to do work because it was too cold. Incorrect bill. Basically, we had a roof over our heads and comfortable bed. Fine for an overnight business meeting, but not for a weekend of fun and pampering.
Review 2:Clean facility, nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. People friendly enough. Bice Bistro was pleasant and the food good. Beautiful pool area.
Review 3:The AC in the room never got below 20 degrees C. turned it down to 18. The bed was hard, some people like this but not myself or my wife.
Review 4:Location,friendly staff, wonderful building
Review 5:Wifi only accepts 2 connections per payment plan so if you have a laptop, 2 mobiles (work and private) you end up having to pay for 2 plans. And wifi is rediculously expensive. Unacceptable for a 5 star hotel.
Review 6:Personnel in the restaurant very friendly. Good food Big rooms with good beds, big desk and very comfortable office chair. Good water pressure in shower Safe area of monterrey
Review 7:Accomodating associates, cleanliness of property, timely response to room service, stocked refrigerator with soda, etc plus snacks. The view of the mountains was great!
Review 8:Many noises are heard in the hotel. the cost of bottled water extremely expensive. charge for internet and parking. would not return to this hotel.
Review 9:No wi fi free

Review 15:Pricy. Small tv, everything was extra charge.
Review 16:On site dining, close shopping, felt secure
Review 17:The staff did not warn any of thier clients that construction was taking place aside from the hotel and there was a lot of dust and NOISE!!!! In general the staff was not helpful at all!
Review 18:The Hotel is nice in general
Review 19:Staff is personable but not truly friendly or refined. The internet is ridiculously expensive! Outrageous, crazy expensive. No courtesy coffee or tea in the mini-bar. Even a cheap hotel will provide courtesy coffee. A bottle of water in the room costs about $5 US. Usually, a hotel gives the guests a couple of bottles of still water as a courtesy with the option to buy an additional more expensive brand. This hotel charges a lot for the cheapest bottled water in Mexico. The utensils, cups and glasses in mini-bar were dirty. No coffee pot, even though to make may own coffee, I have to pay for the courtesy coffee. So, if there is no coffee pot, why charge for the coffee. All the food items in the mini-bar are old and expensive. The safe in the room didn't work and even when I asked for help, they only gave me phone instructions. No where to keep things safe. It seems to be smoke free hotel. However, smokers are still guests. With such a huge entrance, there is nowhere for a guests to sit outdoors to smoke. No espresso coffee cups or spoons in the restaurant, although they charge for the 'expensive espresso', Illy, but it is either served in big, cold coffee cups or in the little espresso cups with huge dessert spoons. If paying for an espresso, ideally one would get the whole, correct service. This may mean nothing to people from the Americas but if an espresso can't be served correctly, don't offer it. Thank God! Starbucks is next door.
Review 20:The location is excellent, it is across 2 other top choice hotels andnext door to a very nice mall with excellent shops and restaurants. The food in all the restaurants is excellent, especially at the Kyo Restaurant. The service of all the staff is personable and courteous especially in the restaurants. Room service is very prompt and served nicely in the room.
Review 21:Heater system was faulty for ; they had to disconnect it for some hours; however they did supply portable heaters.
Review 22:Location; Staff; Rooms were clean and comfortable
Review 23:Also, despite they were showing an exchange raye of 11.50 pesos perdollar, they made the charge at 13.50 and forced us to pay in pesosbecause they didnt accept usd or to do the charge in usd. Room was notluxury at all. Seriously I do not recommend it, there are other hotelsthat look cleaner and less noisy.
Review 24:Staff was terrible. Didn't have ballet parking or support to takeluggage to your room. We decide to close the check from the beginningand once in the room a man entered without knocking the door to take allthe snacks and locked the refrigerator. A lot of noise from the roombeside because it shared a door with it. Very bad do not recommend it
