Reviews for Ofuro Cafe Utatane
Review 1:Too many rules. Check in is at 6pm every day. Must return key to front desk whenever going out, in exchange for keys to shoe locker (a pain if you use more than one pair of shoes btw) - My friend was asked to cover his tribal Samoan tattoo as well - a forewarning to those with them. After a couple of days, kind of feels a bit like a cult.
Review 2:Intriguing atmosphere with nice music and a sanctuary-like setting where people can relax in their assigned robe and enjoy a book or coffee in an unthreatening environment. Access to bath (albeit rules require full nakedness) that is both comfortable and refreshing, especially after a hard day's travel.
Review 3:Some staffs are not ok Re-check in everyday is quite bothering Hotels need to be leave quite early for me (10am)
Review 4:Free shuttle van service between hotel and omiya station
Review 5:Service can not speak English
Review 6:Nice service You could rest there on loungers on the ground floor which you can book on the same day you want to sleep there The bath is a nice japanese bath with hot water and a sauna There is a lift inside for the upper floors You can get free access to the internet when you pay the daily fee to enter the rear area A big offer of manga to read for free
Review 7:very nice place we were very pleased with everything
Review 8:The location is cumbersome. The nearest rail station is a 15 min walk away, and calling a cab is nigh on impossible. Plus, they have a wierd system of daily check-in - check out. We stayed there for 3 days, and had to check in and check out daily, even though we stayed in the same rooms!
Review 9:the cafe area is in a very informal and relaxed atmosphere, and the hot spa is really well maintained. the staff speaks limited english but went out of their way to help us. Its a popular place amongst locals, judging by the number of local people we saw there.
