Review 1：only one small thing was that the room wasn't as clean as it could have been bathroom bin etc hadn't been emptied but everything else in the hotel made up for it.

Review 2：we liked everything about the Rydges! staff were fantastic . We had a small mix up about payment of our room but the staff quickly sorted the problem out and were nothing but helpful. The view from our room was amazing and the room itself was lovely and very comfortable also the pool is a good size with plenty of chairs etc and shade all around and a pool bar which was great to relax in the pool.

Review 13：Rooms are a bit outdated, hotel is quite a walk from the main part of town - about 2km - doesn't sound like much but in 30 degree heat it is! Could not locate the gym/fitness facility anywhere???

Review 23：The rooms were very clean,. Housekeeping excellent. Front desk was ordinary. Coin laundry ridiculously small for the number of rooms and thus impossible to use. WIFI Internet was available approximately half the time.

Review 24：Loved the proximity to the water and kid friendly amenities both at the hotel and right by the hotel. It's at the end of the strip but within walking distance to everything downtown! The staff was amazing and the breakfast buffet was very tasty (it's the only meal we ate at the hotel.)

Review 35：A little far from the main part of the esplanade. Because we have kids I would consider booking somewhere closer to the shops and lagoon pool in future. But the apartment was huge with an amazing view and very good value for money. The apartment needs a refurbishment (which I think the hotel is doing). The shower head needed replacement (it was like a hose pouring on us) and the timer on the dryer was faulty, which was a problem because I did quite a bit of laundry.

Review 36：We had a fantastic panoramic view from our large 2 bedroom apartment. Our kids used the pools, and Maddy's playground (which is amazing for little kids) is a close walk along the promenade across the road. While the apartment is a bit of a walk into the action (10-15 mins), this meant it was fairly quiet and suited us.

Review 41：The room (505) furniture was stained and dated. The bottom of the bath was black and needed scrubbing before a shower and the grout was mouldy. The bathroom linen was old and the towels were like bath mats.

The location was brilliant being right on the Esplanade virtually opposite Muddies.The views were great over the harbour.

Review 49：Disliked the pathway to the restaurant via the pools. Dangerous in the rain, with the wet surface and in the dark. Room service was a bit slack and the main bedroom had no bedside lamps. Actually the whole lighting is poor. Some safety markings showing the different levels of floor ie the bathroom would help. Also if staying a few days it would be great if the rooms were serviced.

Review 66：Checked in to find no late checkout available. Allocated room had no mini bar but guest directory said we could order drinks from list provided. No list. Phoned reception for list and were told they were too busy to look for list. Went downstairs to bar for drink (at exorbitant prices) and saw staff member from reception (the one that was too busy to look for list) picking up coffee cups and taking them to kitchen. Learned at bar that minibars are only available from 6th floor and above.

The hotel must take away thw "Free Wifi" sigen in the lobby away. It is customers fouling! In the business cenre the computers IT conections did not work properky.

Review 73：The shower sprayed in every direction but down and the pressure wasn't great either, and there was a door stopper in the middle of the bathroom floor (attached) that my husband and I both kicked with our toes numerous times and nearly tripped over also. The lobby bathrooms were terrible with 2 in the ladies had pooh all over. The $22 breakfast was also not that great and certianly not worth the money, the bacon and eggs were cold and the cereal selection was minimal.

Review 98：Room description is totally different with the situation when check in. I don't know why I have searched the room for three people on Booking and the results showed the Rydges had the room which is a twin room and can fit maximum three persons, however, when check in, the staff told me u just required the room only for one person with a queen bed room and if you had three persons, u need to pay more. The Janpanese staff did not know how to solve the problem to satisfy her customer while the only way to solve this problem is to let the customer pay more. Besides, The staff said there is no any other available room tonight which means my parents and I won't have place to stay for tonight if I checked in with three persons, even if I pay more. Then ,she asked another college about my situation, but he found available room for three persons and gave us discounts on the price as well. it was so inconsistent and did not make sense, so I felt sooooooooo disappointed with the attitude and service quality of the Rydges.

Review 101：the pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. The function that was being held had music so loud the bass was vibrating the artwork in our room. With a 2 yr old it was no fun at all. Food was over priced. When staff were contacted about the noise we were told that the function will be going until midnight and this was 9pm. No other room was offered which was sickening to fork out the money we paid the following morning when we didn't even get much sleep. not to mention some sort of facies was in the carpark behind my car that someone had walked around and I nearly landed my luggage in it.

Review 135：The water I had to run for a good five minutes in the shower and sink as it was swirling with brown dirt. The towels are so thin and very rough. I was in a room that had an adjoining door to the next room, I could hear the people tear open a teabag packet and the light from their room lit mine significantly under the door. The WiFi constantly needed reconnecting
