Reviews for Aqua Hotel Brussels

Review 1:Maybe a bit far from the central square, but you can take the subway.

Review 2:The room was fine, the breakfast was good, the staff helpful. In general no problems faced, I would stay there again.

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:Very clean room and hotel in general. Breakfast was excellent, could not have asked for more. Location was great. English Channel tv. Free wifi - good connection

Review 5:I was at the time Brussels was totally blocked, but it should be good to have any food for dinner at the hotel, especially when nothing around it`s not opened.

Review 6:The staff was brilliant, good comfort, clean room. Perfect business location.

Review 7:- Room was on -1 level with very unpleasant view, having the exhaust air from the gym (-2) and some rotten plants right in front of the small window - Humidity (causing long fissures in one corner) and chemical smell in room (probably due to a substance fighting the humidity) - Mold next to room door with actual fungus growing - Pretty small room and bathroom - Strange reaction to my feedback which I gave on their automtical feedback request: "we feel like the services you reserved were generally delivered: you had a room with hot water, full breakfast buffet and service as well as access to the wifi, business corner, fitness room, etc." - seriously?

Review 8:- Location close to Louise - Easy to find parking overnight in front of hotel - Quick check-in - Acceptable breakfast

Review 9:There are no blinds or thick curtains on the room windows, which would be OK, if it wasn't for the bright purple lights in the backyard. As a result, it was too light in the room at nighttime, which I found a bit disturbing.

Review 10:The reception staff was very polite and helpful and arranged my breakfast to take away, as I was leaving very early in the morning. The room was very quite. Free Wifi worked fine.

Review 11:No negative experiences, we were helped promptly when the light in the room didn't work.

Review 12:Central location and cheap parking close by. Also friendly staff and great value for money, including breakfast

Review 13:Location is good, with access to Parking, shopping mall around the corner and nice restaurants 5 blocks away, however the street where the hotel is located is lonely at night, dark and dirty.

Review 14:New hotel, good facilities, very friendly and helpful front desk staff

Review 15:One of the showers did not have a shower head that was affixed to the wall and it was cheaply put together so that water sprayed all over. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special - scrambled eggs, yougart, cheese cearal, bread. Bedding is fairly typical of Europe with a futon like mattress - soft with not much support.

Review 16:The staff was friendly and helpful in getting information and in reserving a taxi back to the Airport. The location is OK. There are options for eating nearby and stores. The location of the front of the hotel is on a back street that is a little odd, but it appears they are opening new businesses there and it did not feel unsafe. It is about a 20 minute walk downhill to the main square. We had four people and were given a suite that had two rooms, each with a bathroom.

Review 17:the lights of the inner court infiltrates in the room during the night

Review 18:very unterestung artistic setting. comfortable proximity of the parking great breakfast

Review 19:The surroundings are dirty, but the hotel is very clean!

Review 20:The hotel is well located, has a lot of restaurants nearby and a metro station like 5 minutes away. Very nice staff, clean and nice facilities, good breakfast. The city is fun. Belgians are really nice too!

Review 21:Small bed, breakfast - the sausages and salamis/hams were cheap and inedible, the scrambled eggs that were stored in a metal dish were grey in the middle, the bacon had a really tough rind, which was hard to chew. The hotel is situated on the street frequented with homeless people who also relieve themselves in the street, so in summer it really stinks! The bright lights shining into my room at night from the lamps in the courtyard.

Review 22:Big rooms with modern décor, comfy and clean, relatively quiet, close to shops and a tube station, 10 mins walk to the Royal Palace and Art Galleries.

Review 23:- there was a faint smell in the corridors especially in the mornings. I guess they need to start the ventilation a bit earlier

Review 24:- generally clean, and also room cleaning service was good - reception staff/breakfast staff were welcoming and helpful - wifi was fast and consinstantly reliable (nevertheless it requires a web browser activity every 30 minutes or so, otherwise it logs you out but it was OK once I figured that out. ) - breakfast was good for me (I am a person who has no desire to eat very heavy in the morning)

Review 25:I was very satisfied with hotel, personal, room and also breakfast. The room was very nice and practical equiped. Travelling with small doq was without any problem.

Review 26:No teabags or coffee in the room (though the kettle is available). But this is just a very small issue.

Review 27:It is a very nice hotel in an excellent location out of the main 'touristy' areas but still in vicinity of the centre. The staff is friendly and breakfast very good.

Review 28:Wifi seemed to be turned off during the night and until 8am. The little cul-de-sac you have have to walk in order to enter/exit the hotel.

Review 29:The staff's attitude.

Review 30:No hot water when we came to have showers in the morning! Told reception who said it was probably a boiler problem due to lots of people having showers first thing!........

Review 31:Good location for our purposes modern hotel. Very good self-service breakfast.

Review 32:little dirty street outside, I dont care but can imagine that some travellers dont like

Review 33:Very easy to get downtown for a walk. Hotel was nice and clean, very good breakfast

Review 34:Maybe the breakfast.is not very rich but it is good

Review 35:I liked the position because it was very close to the place i had meeting. Close to downtown and to metro. Clean and exellent wifi.

Review 36:The glass bathroom door does not provide enough privacy and the access street to the holes seamed unsafe at times (homeless people were smoking and sleeping nearby).

Review 37:The hotel facilities are new and modern, nice bathroom, electrical shutters and good air conditioning. They clean the room daily and the breakfast is very nice.

Review 38:Location is scary at night Breakfast good but very repetitive

Review 39:3 mins walk from Metro station Clean, comfortable bed New bathroom Room was ready even though I checked in at 10.00am

Review 40:A very modern hotel in a great location with a short walk to the city centre. Staff were excellent - they even found secure parking for our two motorcycles. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 41:We were expecting a bigger room (based on the photos)

Review 42:Good location (near shops, restaurants, metro stop, Av. Louise) Room was quiet Good breakfast Staff was nice

Review 43:Small bright box room can't sleep till late... plus power issue in the room was really bad couldn't sleep the first night..

Review 44:Staff was really friendly and helping

Review 45:Nothing.

Review 46:Modern small hotel.Very new, clean and well kept.Ideal for city break or short stay where only bed and breakfast needed and you don't need a bar or restaurant in the hotel. Double room on small side but adequate and comfortable.Good central location and close to Metro. Like to stay 5 star if possible when on longer holiday but was very happy with three night stay at this 3 star on quick visit to city . Would be happy to stay again for quick city break.

Review 47:Rooms are relatively small. Brekafast can be more varied.

Review 48:The hotel has a good location, on a quiet street, close to the centre, to Louise, and at 15 min. walk from the EP. Well connected to metro/bus. Always very clean, comfortable rooms. Staff very friendly and cooperative. wifi is good.

Review 49:Towels were very worn and thin. Pillows were terrible and too small. One of the young lady' s at reception was not very helpful when we first checked in which put a downer on the whole experience. The rest of the staff were excellent

Review 50:The blinds and shutter were fantastic

Review 51:Breakfast on Saturday was a mess, the staff had difficulties handling the many people, tables didn't get cleaned, and food was scarse

Review 52:Clean, neat, designed, quiet, comfortable room

Review 53:The reception personnel was extremely kind and helpful. Beautiful art in the hotel, a.o. by Arne Quinze. Efficient and stylish interior of the room and bathroom. Bed was good and the room was quiet. Breakfast was nothing special, but there was sufficient choice. Location is close to the (metro) Porte de Namur - approx. 5 mins. walk. - and the shops of the Guldenvlieslaan/Av. Toison d'Or and Louizalaan/Av. Louise are also within walking distance.

Review 54:We had a triple room and the single bed was a very fragile one, the prices of the room increased depending on the percentage of occupancy (ranges between 120 - 210 EUR). The bathroom has a glass sliding door which offers no privacy.

Review 55:Good location (easy access from the subway and 15 min walking from the city center), nice and diversified breakfast, nice design of the hotel.

Review 56:Very minor: electric shutters really do the trick, but block out ALL the light.

Review 57:Excellent location, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Don't expect a massive room, and the price is a bit on the heavy side as well, but that's Brussels for ya. Overall recommended.

Review 58:Parking is dfficult in the street itself: Paid Parking on the AvenueToison d'Or (5 mins walk) or Free Avenue Louise after 18:00 (5 mins walk)

Review 59:Small but comfortable room Close to restaurants and cinema Walking distance from Grand Place

Review 60:Easy to walk to the city. Very nice area with many stores close to the hotel. The breakfast was great. WiFi was working. Facilities to make coffee and tea in the room. Nice TV and not noise at all from outside.

Review 61:Breakfast could have been better. Cornflakes were not pleasant and having looked at the cooked offerings, decided not to choose it.

Review 62:Central location meant we could leave the car in the car park beneath the hotel and walk around the city. Staff were friendly and approachable.

Review 63:Couldn't use the WiFi with my laptop (worked on my phone). The bathroom sink is very design, but I couldn't find a good place to put the soap when not using it.

Review 64:Great room, loved the decoration, and the design of the bathroom.

Review 65:Price-quality is not good, a bit overpriced. The management: we were a group of colleagues, staying for 4 nights each. One colleague should have stayed one night but did not arrive. Hotel charged 100% for no-show-up, despite that Booking.com tried to negotiate with them. Very unpleasant, considering that in total we paid for 12 nights! I would not recommend the hotel.

Review 66:Vibroplates in the gym. Breakfast good for a 3* hotel, but not for a 160 euros per night hotel!

Review 67:Parking was tricky. Wifi was a bit slow.

Review 68:Location of the hotel was great. About a 20 minute walk to Grand Place, and lots of local shopping near by about a 2 minute walk. Breakfast was included in the room rate, there was a great selection of breakfast options.

Review 69:The hotel has no bar, something that I was unaware of when I booked, although I probably would have been had I checked more thoroughly.

Review 70:Modern decor with a particularly good shower in the en-suit bathroom.

Review 71:We checked in around midnight and an hour later, the hot water didn't work. Neither it did in the morning. The staff was very sorry and kind, but it didn't help me - I still had to go to the meeting feeling sticky for the rest of the day. That evening we were asked to move to another hotel with no compensation. The other hotel was old, the lift didn't work and the bathroom walls were badly painted over the mould. But at least there was hot water. The booking site showed that the rooms were less expensive in this hotel and still we were not offered any compensation. A very mediocre stay all together, no way to get me go back!

Review 72:The two meals, two buffet business lunchs were outstanding, nice mix of flavours, vegetable curry rice was a 10 score. Quality, quantity, and excelend kind dedicated and professionaly simple service. The breakfast was also very nice, with pleanty of fresh fruit

Review 73:It was a three person room that was actually a two person room with an extra bed. Not really a problem since it was big enough the see through bathroom door and having only two sets of soap/shampoo were a bit disappointing looking at the rest.

Review 74:It was a pleasant stay, everything needed included. We didnt get the chance to stay longer than a night.

Review 75:I had trouble connecting into the wifi. The facilities were good but breakfast was a dissapointment.

Review 76:It was near the metro station, new and clean rooms.

Review 77:The room seemed a bit cold. The biggest problem was the fact that the curtains were pretty transparent and there was a lot of light coming from the outside in the room during the night.

Review 78:Location is good, price is ok.

Review 79:Some things are broken, such as door handles etc, but this is minor Other things are not as practical as they could've been (bathroom doors). Parking is a bit tricky to find.

Review 80:Artwork Design Room and Bathroom Breakfast Modern facilities in the room and hotel (window blinds, electronic DND). Location and underground parking are very convenient.

Review 81:Wifi was quite unstable and rather weak signals; one early morning every departure from Brussels National seemed to have overflown the hotel

Review 82:Wifi did not require login; good location (close to Porte de Namur metro station), usually very quiet

Review 83:Nothing. If I were being v v picky, I'd have liked more UK tv channels. I'd still v much recommend the hotel.

Review 84:The modern, clean feel of the hotel; friendly, helpful staff; comfort of room; and good breakfast.

Review 85:The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the decor and rooms were perfect and extremely comfortable. While we were there, the staff went out of their way to help. This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in and I cannot fault ANYTHING. We even had a problem with a taxi man trying to scam us, the hotel manager came out (at 4am) to help us.

Review 86:As I stated in my earlier review there were many things in our room that didn't work. They included the phone, the hot water and in the morning when we were leaving the door lock.

Review 87:The staff was polite and friendly. Hotel looked nice and was clean. The things that didn't work were important tho and that took a lot away from the experience.

Review 88:The room just about large enough to fit a bed. Only one towel was provided.

Review 89:This hotel is clean, beautifully decorated and the breakfast is lovely. The staff is helpful and pleasant.

Review 90:The staff didnt show any smily face to u! The room was too small. Wifi was ok. 45 euro for single room without breakfast is too much! The exits on the emergency stairs are closed without access to the ground floor! !!

Review 91:It is 10 min walk to the city centre. 200 metres from the underground station.

Review 92:Housekeeping staff was forgetful: took my pillowcase one day, the other I was left without any towels. Moderate choice for breakfast, and you need to wait for the coffee to be brought to you, which consumes time if you are in a hurry.

Review 93:Location, good wifi, stable 3 star hotel. Would go back if needed.

Review 94:Only one small pillow. Being woken very early by waste removal lorry each morning-not the hotel's fault.

Review 95:Nice modern art decor stylish hotel. Comfortable bed. Electric shutters. Good breakfast. Very pleasant and friendly reception and breakfast staff. Two minute walk to metro.

Review 96:My room had no natural light as it faced the interior courtyard and that made me feel uncomfortable.

Review 97:Very good breakfast, good position, close to the city center and the staff were very helpfyul with information about best restaurants in town where to eat.

Review 98:Wifi is a bit slow. No german TV channels.

Review 99:Near Louisa shopping center. Metro station is a 5 min. walk, a lot of quite good bars/restaurants are close by. Breakfast is good but choices are a little limited

Review 100:Bad wifi connection

Review 101:Breakfast fantastic, staff polite, bed very comfy, rooms clean and modern . Had a great stay . Only thing is that there is no german tv programe available

Review 102:Location. To get to the hotel from the Metro Station, there were no signs and the road leading to the front of the hotel seem shady. Some homeless people and the street smells of urine with lots of grafitti.

Review 103:Cleanliness. Quiet room. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Very courteous and helpful staff at the front desk but mostly in the dining room.

Review 104:Kettle in the room suffering from "calcaire" therefore unusable - a known problem in Brussels.

Review 105:Location, spacious modern room, great bedding, quiet atrium rooms, complete breakfast buffet, helpful and polite personnel.

Review 106:Small room without no other proper place to sit than a bed. The room felt claustrophobic since there was no window facing outside. You could only see the restaurant and other walls and the drapes had to be closed all the time. That made the room feel even smaller.

Review 107:Hardwood floors is a plus! Shower was good. Good breakfast and the hotel was clean. Location ok, if you need to stay near Louisa-area. It is also a walkable distance from the EU-area

Review 108:The street is not exactly beautiful but at least it is close to the metro :)

Review 109:New and clean, efficient staff, good breakfast, decent wifi free of charge.

Review 110:Forgot to give me new towels after taking the old ones which I first discovered after taking a shower. Luckily there was a hair drier.

Review 111:Close to a Metro station

Review 112:For some people, the location may be a little strange up a narrow long side street but I didn't have a problem with this. You are very quickly back on down at the main streets.

Review 113:Rates in Brussels hotels are highly variable so why I thought the rate at Aqua was a bit high, it may be a lot lower at different times. This is a good quality standard hotel. Nothing miraculous, smallish bathroom but clean, very good bed, practical desk and so a comfortable stay. It is well suited therefore to business travellers or others who won't spend a lot of time in the room. The windows open and the electrical shades mean that the room is private and can be fully darkened. Breakfast was normal, again nothing special but it had all options for guests.

Review 114:The 100m walking from the main street (metro station). Room with a pillar in the middle. Breakfast was ok but could be better and include more variety of food/drinks

Review 115:Everything new, modern style. Clean, white walls, very helpful personel

Review 116:Porte de Namur metro station and nearby streets full of pickpocketers and alike nice guys, watch out for your belongings

Review 117:quiet and comfortable room, good breakfast

Review 118:Early noise from a construction site and poor internet in the morning due to to many users

Review 119:Nice hotel with helpful staff and rooms being newly renovated.

Review 120:the ONLY thing i would like to have been different was the pillow. if that small detail is the only negative i have, it should tell you how much my family enjoyed this hotel!

Review 121:this hotel is one of the quietest hotels that i have ever stayed in. the interconnecting family room was perfect for us. it turned it into what was basically a two bedroom, two bathroom. great facility, clean and modern. it was also only 10m away from underground garage parking, which is a huge benefit when arriving by car. it's also only around 100m from the metro station, a grocery store, and tons of other shopping. the location being close to the metro opens up the opportunity to explore brussels quickly and easily. we loved this hotel.

Review 122:The hotel is close to the "Porte de Namur / Naamsepoort" metro station and to a lot of nice shops. You can also walk to the "Grand Place", it's not far and you will find a lot of chocolate shops in the way. The family room is very comfortable and clean.

Review 123:Smell of paint in hall was nauseating Room was cramped when a triple was reserved, couldn't move around...or access the desk/fridge Area/entrance a little shady

Review 124:Window shutters Rain shower head Close to metro stop and Louisa street

Review 125:Being emailed after we left to be told they had made a mistake & we still owed them money which they automatically took from our card. We were happy to pay, but considering the mistake was theirs, they were very rude & made us feel most unwelcome. REALLY poor after care which really let them down.

Review 126:Clean if simple hotel. Room was a little small & Front desk staff & cleaners were very helpful

Review 127:the bathtub wasn't clean, breakfast could have offered a better choice

Review 128:unique building design, good location, comfortable bed, very helpful staff, printer available for client use

Review 129:warmly reception and good parking solution

Review 130:Artistic interior

Review 131:The room was at -1 floor

Review 132:The wi-fi was good

Review 133:Centrally located, but not too attractive area...

Review 134:Helpful staff, good breakfast, clean comfortable rooms

Review 135:Very friendly and efficient. The room, especially the shower, was excellent. And they even had gluten free bread at breakfast

Review 136:- room with small window,

Review 137:- clean room

Review 138:There was no any kind of view from the room and in the evening it necessary to close shutters due to disturbing blue light.

Review 139:Quite hotel.
