Review 1：A little overpriced in my opinion, but Matera is a top touristdestination and rates are not untypical. I visited out of season, whenstaff are not present 24/7, so do phone or email in advance to checkthat you can gain access. Even when I did this, I had to wait until Icould get in to drop my belongings,
Review 2：Great location, easy to find and opposite one of the main entrances tothe Sassi. Breakfast is more than is usual in Italy.
Review 3：Everything, but especially the staff. They were so helpful and welcoming. I cannot recommend them enough as they helped us with getting the the train station. It's rare to meet such lovely people. Especially Francesca. Thank you so much. It was also a pleasure to know that this house had been in the family for hundreds of years, which added a special connection to the place.
Review 4：The kitchen remains closed all day and night so guests cannot make a cup of tea or coffee for himself. This is quite common in Italy as you do not find a kettle and cups in the rooms.
