Reviews for Galeria Plaza Reforma
Review 1:There are two restaurants, we tried one and the breakfast offer was not so vast. Any additional service not included in the baseline offer has an additional charge. Even to print one paper we've been asked for some pesos. The tour proposed lasted way more than what was specified in the offer, thus we had to revise our schedule.
Review 2:It's a nice, modern hotel located close to the Independence Angel. There's always a taxi available outside, an ATM and a change office inside. The room was big enough and clean.
Review 3:Bathroom tile had a lot of black mold and mildew and should be cleaned after room is used - I tried to scrape the walls with a piece of folded foil and took some of it off, but without the proper bathroom cleansers and brush, it is impossible to clean Buffet breakfast not so great - too much greasy and fatty food - should have choices with eggs and low fat protein sources
Review 4:Convenient location, nice accommodations, clean, large towels, noise level low considering the location, spacious rooms
Review 5:Due to time differences flying in from Eastern Europe we woke up in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, no cafe or restaurant, not even the lobby bar, was open. Cappuccino, espresso etc. should be included in the breakfast downstairs. In 2015 that is standard.
Review 6:The staff at the breakfast was really helpful and helped us with our baby. Overall the services in the hotel worked perfectly fine. Would be happy to come back.
Review 7:The mini bar in the room was locked (and upon arrival I provided my credit card)
Review 8:I had a very early apointment, and the hotel is very close to where I had to be.
Review 9:small bad. The door key didn't work often.(keycard) !annoying!
Review 10:Great location right in the center of zona rosa... You can walk everywhere don't let the Mexico City bad publicity fool you. Clean.
Review 11:breakfast arrangements were strange. We were presented with a full buffet, but the charges were for sections of the food eg fruit & cereal, hot food and they were charged accordingly which came out expensive. no problems, we found a place nearby to breakfast
Review 12:The position, the friendly & helpful staff the comfort of the room. The hotel was very quiet, despite lots of traffic around. Restaurants in the hotel very good and good value (except breakfast). We felt very safe in the whole of the area around
Review 13:When I asked for a taxi, the concierge wanted to get me one from the hotel. When I asked for a metered taxi, he pretty much brushed me aside and told me to get one by myself. Otherwise, the staff has always been pretty helpful throughout my stay. Also, do join the tour from the hotel if you want to take a trip to Teotihuacan, it is value for money and the guide is superb.
Review 14:If you like staying in the middle of where all the bars and restaurants are, this is your choice. I decided against staying in Polanco because it would be too nice and boring.
Review 15:Improvements in reception area were being carried out. Breakfast was limited selection.
Review 16:Location was great, just where we need to be. Rooms were a good size.
Review 17:There were some work being done in the hotel, some noise until around 9 PM. There were some work being done in the street making noise until mid-night but it that case the Hotel didn't had control over it.
Review 18:Very comfortable and clean room, fast access to anywhere, good restaurant / breakfast.
Review 19:The lobby was under construction during my entire stay and did not get to know about this before I got there.
Review 20:The location and the rooftop swimming pool.
Review 21:The bathroom was never re stocked, the complementary coffee was for only 1 night and no complementary water, this should all be available in this level of accommodation
Review 22:The room was excellent, but the hotel is under refurbishment, I think when complete it will be perfect for all types of travellers
Review 23:I am not a fan of the neighborhood but location is great for my business.
Review 24:I stay there everytime I go to Mexico on business - the price compared to other hotels in Mexico is low and quality is really good.
Review 25:-Rooms were not well cleaned.-The stairs in the main entrance were not comfortable with the heavy bags in your hand. - Room key was out of order 3 time s !! They need to be renovated. - small towels ib the bath room were old.
Review 26:Rooms are spacious My main concern was to attend the congress which wasbeing held at Sheraton Maria Isabel. Galleria Plaza was very clise toit. By walking It was about 5- 7 minutues. Moreover I had the chance tosee everyday the big statute of Independence while I was walking.thiswas vwry beautiful. .
Review 27:The hotel is extremely understaffed. We waited for over 20 mins in thecheck in counter because there was only one receptionist serving a queueof people. When finally it is our term, he checked into the computer andsaid we needed to go to the 11th executive floor to check in. There isno free drinking bottled water in the room while all other hotels do,they charge all the bottled water. I left my I phone in the room when wechecked out, and I immediate went back to my room to get it. Verystrange, the clean lady is cleaning my room and "put" myiphone in the drawer .
Review 28:Hotel was clean, rooms spacious and great location. We organised return airport transfers with the hotel which was great as our driver Fernando ended up being our tour guide for the next two days. Great to have local tour guide and do see what we wanted to. Saw a lot of the city and surrounding areas in the two full days we had.
Review 29:I asked for my room to be cleaned many times, and after few hours I come to my room and still as is, I was disappoointed...
Review 30:The staff responsiveness, the hotel location, the cleaness of the hotel.
Review 31:No free internet. Extremely variable pricing. Weekend rates are a good value. Week day rates, considering the lack of internet, are high.
Review 32:A 4-star hotel that lives up to its rating. It's an older property but well maintained. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Good fitness room, nice view from the penthouse floor.
Review 33:Their private car service is a scam ! Better food on the street than room service .
Review 34:Area .
Review 35:Rude waiters at the restaurant. Often change of wi-fi password.

Review 58:Wifi didn't work well in bedroom of suite.

Review 77:Personnel at front desk very efficient ant attentive. Location is very good, food at restaurant and service are excellent!!
Review 78:A bit dark
Review 79:Ventilation system stops when you live the room, bad smels remains. Wifi is expensive for a very poor service.
Review 80:Position nearby Reforma
Review 81:Hotel needs renovation and non-smoking floor had smoking smell.
Review 82:Location is great and affordable.

Review 84:Expensive overnight parking.
Review 85:Great staff, very good location. great food.
Review 86:Dark inside of the hotel.
Review 87:No free wifi at rooms, no breakfast,
Review 88:Loaction, pricing
Review 89:Hotel offered taxi was expensive, 250 peso to airport.
Review 90:The location was good and there a lots of bars/restaurant in nearby. The hotel facility was very nice and free wifi available in lobby area.
Review 91:Nothing!
Review 92:The concierge's provided excellent advice. We particularly appreciated Jorge. In the restaurant, Guadalope made us feel at home. The location is amazing. We enjoyed the main bar daily. This is a great hotel and we had a wonderful stay.
Review 93:The lock on the door was faulty and required multiple efforts to swipe access each time. There was a large burn mark on the carpet from an iron. The only available electricity socket in the bedroom (behind the TV) was hanging off the wall with electrical wires visible, and was a hazard.
Review 94:Staff were very helpful and professional
Review 95:Halways a bit dark and confusing. Restaurant WAY overpriced and food lacks quality and flavor.
Review 96:Excellent location and service. Hotel a little bit old but well maintained.
Review 97:The breakfast. In the I was always impressed with the buffet breakfast but this time it was so poorly done it did not reflect the cost
Review 98:Everything but the breakfast
Review 99:My reservation was not confirmed due to an internal error between booking.com and the hotel, which meant I waited more than 2 hrs to check in as apparently the hotel was at capacity. Only after mentioning this was unacceptable and insisting on being accommodated as was booked was I checked in.
Review 100:Excellent location!!
Review 101:Staff offhand & arrogant. They behave as if they are the guests & we are just a nuisance. Charged incorrectly for something that was complimentary with no apology. Staff here need better training & management. They should try staying in a 5 star hotel in LA, NYC or London to find out what good service is all about
Review 102:Comfortable room but no views despite being on 9th floor. Good bathroom.
Review 103:It wasn't a 5 star hotel at all! It was more a 3 or 4 stars hotel but it was good. We had a room for 3 persons (2 double bed) but the beds wheren't big enought for 2 adults per bed.
Review 104:Location Price
Review 105:Services not included, and too expensive (breakfast, WIFI, parking,...). We were given a room with cigarrete smell and the shower not working, but they changed our room immediately when we asked to.
Review 106:Nice facilities. Nice rooms and great breakfast. I forgot some keys in my room and they kept them so I coulg get them back.
Review 107:Some front desk staff weren't friendly or welcoming, the room was just 'ok' - comfortable but nothing luxurious. Free wi-fi would have been good. There were very limited power points in the room and it was pretty claustrophobic. The gym was good but the pool was very shallow! I didn't use it. I would say this hotel is ok for the price but nothing to write home about.
Review 108:The location was good and the staff were nice.
Review 109:The people on the front desk aren't very helpful they are rude and hard to deal with, the great service from Concierge disappear after you go through the front desk it's very disappointing
Review 110:The location is excellent Concierge is very good
Review 111:Having $10,000 (pesos) debited from our debit card when using it atcheck in and not being able to get it reversed. Having to moverooms because the safe battery went flat and couldn't be fixedtill Monday. No electric jug in room to make tea with - and thelack of teabags
Review 112:On the whole staff were friendly and helpful. This especially applied tothe young lady tending the bar and to Carlos the concierge!
Review 113:Very pricey internet service and the morning breakfast buffet. The sitio taxi outside of the hotel is also expensive.
Review 114:The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting museums and other cultural centers. There is also a vegetarian restaurant right around the corner. Place is well kept and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Review 115:Staff not very proactive or reactive to complaints and querries. Also, rooms are badly sound insulated. Had some trouble upon check-in with rude staff.
Review 116:Hotel was overall ok, well located and reasonably priced. Picked the hotel for its location and the open air pool. However, coming back from Yucatan I staid one night in nearby Roommate Valentina and the experience was better for a lower price (with wifi and breakfast included, but without the pool)
Review 117:The pool is too small to do fitness swimming. It is only good for splashing around by kids. I know this isn't important for most travelers but it is important for me.
Review 118:I liked the business center with wine and canapes in the evening.
Review 119:Everything was great (other than the iron leaking water but it wasquickly replaced after a phone call to the main lobby)
Review 120:The hotel is nice and clean; rooms are big enough; nice rooftop pooland fitness room; walking distance to El Angel, Reforma,metro/metrobus station.
Review 121:The only thing that does not make this hotel perfect is that there is no free wifi.
Review 122:Nice hotel and great value for money, the pool and roof terrace was really good. The rooms are good standard, staff are helpful and the location is excellent, close to zona rosa stores and restaurants.
Review 123:The pillows were too soft.
Review 124:The staff were very accommodating & the hotel was well placed for leisure activities. The breakfast choice is excellent.
Review 125:Staff very polite and provide a good service. Our security box wasdefective and immediatly after we did mentionned, somebody came to fixit right away. This is a good service ant the employee was very niiceand polite..
Review 126:Due to the fact, that the Pool is just 0,70 m deep you are Not able toswim. But there are Lots of children in the Pool- Good for families, badfor People who want to relax here
Review 127:Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds, well located in the Heart of ZonaRosa, Pool area on Top of the building
Review 128:The staff made me wait a very long time to check in, they said they hadn't received the info from Booking.com yet. Also I didn't liked at all that just as I was getting out of the shower in a towel, a staff member tried to open the door (just to check the minibar, that in fact was locked, and remained that way all the time) if it weren't for the door lock I had just put before taking my bath. I actually heard the guy knocking and shouting door by door just to check the minibar.
Review 129:Great Place, located at the heart or Mexico City. Everything is nearby. The Staff is very professional, the room was very clean, flat screen, cooler/heater.
Review 130:- Air Condition barely cools down - Staff during breakfast not really attentive - Part of the buffet, was cold (potatoes) - Why is the minibar closed and asking to open it, resulted that the next day it was closed again - Poor variety of TV channels, especially not in english
Review 131:Reception staff really friendly
Review 132:Have to pay for Internet connection and not only that but it is for 24 hrs and for each device. I am sure most travelers feel the same way At least make it a one time fee for all your devices for the length of your stay. You'll get my business all the time
Review 133:Price, location, clean, comfort
