Reviews for NH Collection Mexico City Reforma

Review 1:It is in process of reburbishing, it will be closed in JAN 2016. It is normal that something are not running so smoothly like having only one elevator.

Review 2:Breakfast, new bedrooms

Review 3:They are currently remodeling, so the front desk location was a bit noisy. The woman that handled both my check in and check out spoke English (I speak both English and Spanish), but her voice was so soft that I had a difficult time understanding her in either language, both times I dealt with her. She was pleasant--just not audible.

Review 4:Room was very beautiful, modern, clean, and comfortable. The gentleman who helped me to the room with my bags was very friendly and thorough explaining the modern electronics and features of the room. Amazingly, every time he saw me anywhere in the hotel during the next few days, he greeted me by name. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Review 5:Hopefully you finish soon your construction, it could be really disturbing in the morning

Review 6:it was a very nice and modern room. Personal is really friendly

Review 7:I asked three times, for somebody to help me with the electric kettle, that wasn´t working 30 minutes more or less, was the time that they send a person to fixed this issue

Review 8:breakfast near the subway size of the room Wifi Free

Review 9:I was staying on the 4th floor and decided to take the stairs to the 3rd floor to go to the gym. The stairs area was dirty and full of things all around. When I reached the 3rd floor, I could not find the exit and had to go back upstairs to take the elevator.

Review 10:The service was excellent! The staff was always ready to offer assistance with directions and any other thing I requested. The food was excellent too! I had breakfast frim the buffet during my whole stay and ordered room service for dinner one night.

Review 11:The 4 elevators are still not working at the same time due to the reburbishment of the Hotel... some times you have to wait a litle bit.

Review 12:Stayed in a renovated suite for an excellent price. Delicious Breakfast as usual

Review 13:Bed was pretty uncomfortable - my back was not happy after 5 nights. Room did not get serviced until 4-5PM each day. Had a leak twice from the a/c unit in the ceiling in our room, shower door not well designed and water tended to end up all over the floor.

Review 14:Central location, although the Zona Rosa is horribly touristy and I would not stay there again. Overall friendly, clean.

Review 15:- we told them it was our honeymoon and gave us a room with two single beds. - the service at the bar was non existent. over an hour for one glass of wine?

Review 16:David helped us with everything. The room, tours, taxis, and he was overall very very pleasant. The rest of the staff... not so much.

Review 17:Run down nH hotel. Serious problems with the elevators. Only in some rooms it is possible to open the window for fresh air. for this reason I prefer to stay elsewhere

Review 18:location. If you are lucky and there are no maintenance issues, you will enjoy your stay.

Review 19:It doesn't help you to keep the oldest floor open, you better close it and fix it instead of having very disappointed customers

Review 20:The hotel is under refurbishment, hopefully in a couple of months will be better, for the time being I won't recommend you to be there

Review 21:The pool was very dirty, seems it does not have the proper maintenance. The AC in the room was not working properly. Poor valet service.

Review 22:The staff was friendly, our room was comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. Pool area was good for the kids but needed upkeep - a lot.

Review 23:NH hotel but run down nH hotel. Particularly serious problems with the elevators. I had to use the emergency staircase many times because all three elevators did not function. It is strange that NH management allows this hotel to operate in this state. Sometimes I was compensated during check out for the various maintenance issues.

Review 24:Overall infrastructure is really old. They are renovating the whole building (but only the top two floors are ready and workers are very noisy during the day). Also, plumbing is extremely old and VERY noisy (specially at night if the guest next door decides to take a late shower). I believe that when the renovation is ready, this hotel would be a great choice. Meanwhile, I suggest to avoid it.

Review 25:Staff was well trained. You can tell this hotel is managed by a large chain like NH. Location is great... right at the Zona Rosa.

Review 26:Rooms need to refurshed, one elevator was out of order for my six nights stay which means regular wait, reception was always understaffed with little training.

Review 27:Breakfast offer is very large and very tasty with new products every day. Location is very central in a nightlife area.

Review 28:Elevators didn't work, bad pillows, look anf feel of the hotel is very old. It was cold when i went, they gave a 50's electrical heater, but that solved it

Review 29:breakfast, even though is below NH hotel standards

Review 30:As a mexico hotle ,there is no eiderdowns in bed is nornmal ,but the room service is terrible ,we waited a long time to get a blanket

Review 31:location is good ,the desk service is good

Review 32:It was noisy at night from the general hubbub of the city outside - large bedroom windows had poor sound insulation.

Review 33:Bedroom was large and the massive bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast offered excellent choice of good quality options.

Review 34:45 minute to an hour wait for elevator, beds hard as rocks, smells horrible....hotel charging 4 star prices with a 2 star property. I moved to the Sheraton for half the price & 10 times the service!!!

Review 35:Nothing

Review 36:The front desk has too many inexperienced new staff and take ages to have a room. The elevators took 3 mins to close a door - really need to improve it. No car parking service - you need to drive to car park and drag your own luggages.

Review 37:The hotel has very nice breakfast. And the lobby give you nice space to sit.

Review 38:Property could use a refresh. Good value but not one of the better NH properties.

Review 39:Great Location. Lots of bars and restaurants. Close to Embassy, Shopping, Clubs

Review 40:The reception in the front desk is the weakest part of the hotel. V inexperienced and too many new staff.

Review 41:The service of the hotel is nice and friendly. The breakfast is very nice and full of choices. Worth to come back.

Review 42:Had to ask 3 times for repairing the tap of the bath. Telefon didn´t allow me to ring outside although they said it was open for phone calls. No one did bother to get all sorted.

Review 43:The Location is great, easy to be reached from the air port.

Review 44:It is a very noisy hotel. Both outside (at least the rooms facing the street) and inside (the walls are paper thin). And that's after requesting a quiet room (I was on floor 10, facing a side street). Not great for an intense week of work.

Review 45:Rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped. Wifi works very well. Breakfast is excellent (actually, the restaurant in general is). Staff were helpful and courteous.

Review 46:Old and dingy bedding, towels were stiff, most of the lighting in the room didn't work. We asked for a wake up call, never received it. Wi-fi was constantly in and out. The lobby restrooms looked and smelled like public ones. Hotel had a musty smell.

Review 47:The only nice thing is the hotel is centrally located and easy to walk to many places.

Review 48:Bed was like a rock. I could hear everything from my neighbors room. Wifi was slow. Gym was small with very old equipment. Breakfast buffet just ok.

Review 49:Location Staff was very good. Room size was good.

Review 50:Too few deck chairs by the pool. When I wanted to use the pool area there was nowhere for me to sit. The beds were a bit hard.

Review 51:We got a good deal through booking.com and it was great value for what we paid. Restaurants in the neighborhood and close to the metro. Spacious room.

Review 52:1. Elevators doors closed too fast and only two working for a 300 room hotel not so cool! 2. Mattresses were a bit old and too worn out...need to be a bit firmer 3. Need updated TV's

Review 53:1. Staff!! 2. Front Desk Agents 3. Housekeeping extremely efficient and 100% Honest! 4. Private Taxi's (Don Salvador especially) were most professional & courteous I have ever witnessed and enjoyed!

Review 54:No view and too many police men in area

Review 55:Comfort of the room

Review 56:The staff aré so friendly and helpful.

Review 57:N/A

Review 58:Majority of staff were very helpful.

Review 59:there was a renovation going on, so a bit tricky to use the enterance for the hotel.

Review 60:location, kind staffs, clean rooms,

Review 61:Hotel was under remodelation and no pool and no gym

Review 62:The location, the people atending

Review 63:NONE.

Review 64:GOOD LOCATION.

Review 65:The room was recently remodeled. Lots of light!

Review 66:Pool Water cold

Review 67:Location

Review 68:Still some signs missing at renewed 10th floor

Review 69:Wonderful Breakfast

Review 70:Price for what i payed

Review 71:ok

Review 72:A little scared of the location but it was okay I guess. Not used to living downtown.

Review 73:The room, the service and the people who worked there.

Review 74:Location is ver y good. And the ratio price/quality is great

Review 75:I wish there are gadgets to use and play inside the pool (Balls, floats, etc.)

Review 76:Pool is the reason I booked this hotel for my son

Review 77:Beds:( hardest beds I ever slept on. Made for grumpy mornings:(

Review 78:Location, staff, room size, amenities, pool.

Review 79:The hotel is very old

Review 80:The blankets in the bed are old fashion style. Fluffy bed covers would be a better selection.

Review 81:free internet and breakfast!

Review 82:Internet connection too poor and blocked access to vital services.

Review 83:The bed was very hard and old.

Review 84:The breakfast is excelent.

Review 85:Old hotel

Review 86:Please, was a 90s TV that was awesome lol

Review 87:Air conditioning a bit weak. All glass facade warms up the room.

Review 88:Cheap, great location, large rooms.

Review 89:Intermittent WiFi and slow speed of it!

Review 90:High floor rom with little noise

Review 91:Todo se ve muuuy viejo y descuidado

Review 92:El staff muy amable

Review 93:Quality of mattress not good

Review 94:Location, WiFi , staff very helpful

Review 95:The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location The room was very clean

Review 96:the hotel looks old from the inside (excluding the lobby)

Review 97:location, Staff gives us some help for the organisation of our Tehotihuacan visit!

Review 98:view from the fitness center on the top floor is stunning

Review 99:No preferences for permanent customers. Price at reception is twice more expensive than on Booking.

Review 100:Rather reasonable offer

Review 101:Safe to walk around at night alone! Yeh. In Mexico City. Nice and cheap local restaurants. Definitely recommend

Review 102:Street Noise

Review 103:Decent breakfast Spacious rooms Clean, new bathroom and showers

Review 104:front desk staff was rude

Review 105:The room next door to mine was connected by a thin door. I could hear everything they said and did.

Review 106:Very helpful staff and very patient.

Review 107:we booked a remodeled room as pictured ,,when we got there we got 3 extremely outdated rooms and very very worn carpeting furnitue matress, bathrooms etc etc,,we ask about the pictures sent and the front desked just said none available blew us off,,we ask cleaning staff if hotel was full and they told us it was just 50% full,,again we asked and again we where denied,,also we extremely careful with the bell boys, they offer tickets tours etcetc,,and cannot delivered,,,CAREFUL!!!!

Review 108:location,lobby,restaurant,80% of the staff great !!

Review 109:Overpriced. Water was leaking from AC all night long. Stinky carpets inside. Around 10 different WiFi codes didn't work. Definitively to avoid

Review 110:A divine breakfast was the only advantage.

Review 111:Too expensive for what you get, there are better price/quality hotels nearby (unless you really want a pool). Zona rosa is also past its prime, I recommend going to the NH near the Zocalo: similar but cheaper rooms and better location for a tourist.

Review 112:Very nice hotel, with very nice breakfast buffet.

Review 113:Uncomfortable beds, it was hard to rest. No personal at the lobby bar. They kept me waiting and no one was interested about getting me what I wanted. This hotel is hardly an NH and hardly 4 stars.

Review 114:Not what I expected from a NH hotel..

Review 115:the room needed refurbishing, there were paints coming off the wall.

Review 116:Location, breakfast and very helpful staff. I wanted to retain the room for couple of hours extra which was done at no extra cost.

Review 117:Nothing - I would certainly stay at NH Mexico City again.

Review 118:This hotel is in a great part of Mexico City. The room we stayed in was generous in proportion and well designed for comfort. The bed was great. The staff were also extremely helpful and welcoming.

Review 119:I ask for earlt check inn and they gave me a room after waiting for 1.5 hours not because was not avialability of room. They just don't wanted

Review 120:Good location and nice hotel

Review 121:We had a room with an adjoining door to the next room and we could clearly hear the guests in the next room. When we mentioned this to the assistant manager he was fully aware of the problem with this type of room and said that they were in the process of updating the hotel and the problem would be rectified. Unfortunately there was no offer to move us to another room. The hotel is getting a little dated and in need of renovation and therefore is looking a little tired in places. Should be great once the reno's are complete.

Review 122:We really enjoyed our stay at the NH Hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent as it was right in the heart of the downtown area and Zona Rosa which is the gay neighbourhood. This area has many good restaurants, bars and shopping nearby and is adjacent to Paseo de la Reforma, a main access to transit and many of the major attractions. It also feels very safe as it is located down the street from the central police station and there is a huge police presence in the area. The hotel staff was very pleasant especially the housekeeping and the concierge who always went above and beyond his duties to help and please the hotel guests. The hotel has a social for the hotel guests on Wednesday evenings where they offer complementary food and drink. This is a very pleasant evening where we had the opportunity to meet the deputy Manager Carlos. My partner mentioned to Carlos that we had been married the previous day and by the time we returned to our room following the reception he had arranged to have rose petals in a heart shape placed on our bed and a lovely tray of chocolate dipped strawberries delivered to our room. What an incredibly thoughtful surprise on behalf of the hotel. Thank you so much for the recognition of our special day. Kevin and Gustavo

Review 123:Great hotel, Great location however: 1) One day we had a water interruption for repairs – not big deal however I think could it be done at night, I guess the hotel didn’t want to pay for overtime, or had a poor planning, considering that hotel is gear more for business people that tourist. Even though the hotel is perfectly located, near everything and close to metro terminal as well. 2) Location, Location, Location, this is at the skirts of the what is call the pink zone, and glad for that because the city has neglected this are at night is full of drunks, drugs and prostitution, guy bars and, etc. Nothing to be alarm, but a word of caution here this is not an area fro young adults and not an area to walk at late night as a tourist. (Sorry for the city managers) 3) The front administration the male only individual front desk employee has a derogatory and condescending attitude, totally ignores your presence and never makes eye contact, like you are a problem for this busy schedule, you know the kind. Upon arrival he indicated that our room was not available (1:00 pm) even though folks ahead of us and behind in line got theirs, so we came to a conclusion that we where tourist and not business folks so we were relegated to a second class citizens. (I guess by been more polite and facing you when taking would help). 4) Room service is slow and none existent, first night we ask for ice been that there is no ice machines in the floors, and never show up, second day we ask for ice again, and 45 minutes later it show up. Point has been that service is sporadic. I blame this on the lack of good management; I bet he is more concern of having breakfast and diners with friends that managing the hotel.

Review 124:Everything. From the beginning of arriving. No one help our luggages, not to mention no one told us where to park the car. We have to drag our luggages to park the car. Then the check in process is a worse nightmare. It took a century for the receptionist to "find" a room because the room I booked on line is NOT available. Then the room on the so called executive floor is really like built by logo. You can hear everything outside from your room, from the knocking of other rooms, to room services. In the morning, you got waken up by the "beautiful " drilling of upstair. Except the bell men are extremely nice, I don't see any value of this place. It is my first time staying in NH hotel and will be my last time as well.

Review 125:Gay area not good to go out Problem with the bill at end took an hour to check out problem was fixed after we left.

Review 126:Location is good right in the middle on mexico City. Front desk stafg where very nice and helpfull thanks :):) close to metro station

Review 127:Nothing bad to say

Review 128:The staff very friendly. We first had a room with a very poor view and asked to be changed and we were placed in one with a beautiful view of the city without any problems

Review 129:In a good area full of bars, restaurants and shops. Safe to walk around in the evening. More of a business hotel but great facilities especially heated outside pool. Concierge great, very helpful and recommended a great tour to the pyramids that the concierge organised swiftly and pain-free!

Review 130:From the moment when we arrived to the point when we left, the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and obviously well trained and made our stay really enjoyable. The location of the hotel is excellent for seeing the central part of Mexico City, and is ideally situated for eating out in the evenings without having to take a taxi. Would definitely stay there again, and the buffet breakfasts were simply outstanding.

Review 131:Noise at lower floors, WiFi signal very poor, pool out of service during the two weeks of my stay.

Review 132:Location is excellent, the staff very kind, rooms clean. Good value for money.
