Reviews for Hotel Adria & Resort

Review 1:We got a room with no balcony, as the rooms on the 3rd floor have no balcony. Also, the 3rd floor is actually more of an attic, so there's very little space on one side of the bed. The bathroom is very small and the shower has no hose, it's fixed in the wall. The shower curtain is very close and sticks to you at every move. I would have preferred no bidet and a more decent shower. Air conditioning only, no central heating, so in the winter the room will be very cold if you leave in the morning and return in the evening.

Review 2:Nice location, staff was helpful, albeit a bit absent. Spacious interiors and large garden, must be a beauty in the summer.

Review 3:The rooms were dated and everything was worn out. Electric sockets were not standard euro so couldn't use them. The evening meal was horrible and the staff were dismissive of our complaints.

Review 4:Outisde view of hotel and the pool looked great.

Review 5:Breakfast was not to our taste, but there is a nice coffeebar next door. Air condition did not work in our two rooms the first night, but they fixed it the following day.

Review 6:Nice and cheap place to stay. The swimming pool was very popular for the kids.

Review 7:Small rooms, very noisy from downstairs restaurant and other guests, walls paper thin.

Review 8:Location right by the exit to the beach across the road to the lake.

Review 9:- dirty - unhelpful saff (problems with english, etc) - no parking place - no wifi - no air condition or fan - very old furniture (1980s) - awful and poor breakfast - dirty room and bathroom - noise from the street - price inadequate to the standard

Review 10:Only location was ok.

Review 11:The internet connection was not working, the fridge was broken and they didn't handle to fix it or to change the room and the TV was as small as a smartphone. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 12:We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Adria & Resort, staff was very nice and helpful. Pool is not very big, but it is perfect if you are staying for a couple of days and otherwise the lake is also close -in walking distance-.

Review 13:One major problem was availability of parking.Hotel car park is very small so almost impossible to catch a space.Public parking in the street maybe ok out of season, but July/August you have to be very lucky or very patient to grab a space. Alternatively, cross the main road and 100 yds down a street by the church, there is a public carpark(pay)...but this is full part of the day with people using the nearby beach area. Because of this problem it makes you loathe to move the car once you've got it safely parked, unless you want to go through all the hassle again.

Review 14:Pool good and kept spotless. All rooms have air conditioning. An initial complaint(fridge not working) was dealt with within minutes. We had a late-night flight, but they allowed us to use facilities(not room, as fully booked) including a shower before we left.

Review 15:Breakfast was the same all day, could be more variability. Small hotel parking was always full, but big nearby parking was available. Hotel could have some upgrade of furniture.

Review 16:Very friendly and helpfull staff, great cleanness in and around the hotel, good location close to the water. From upper floor great sight on the lake.

Review 17:The wifi was terrible, The staff was unfriendly and you had to Pay extra if you wanted a biggee breakfeast. It should be included as it was stated.

Review 18:Good place, easey to find. Near the beautiful beach.

Review 19:A kettle with some cups and glasses would be very useful. It would be nice if the hotel provided some toys/playground for kids.

Review 20:- Nice room with a terrace, - swimming pool, - close to the old town - cafes, shop and pizzerias/bars very close to the hotel - about 5 min to the lake

Review 21:No connection of wifi in the room. The rooms at the 3rd floor have window parapet higher than usual, thus you can enjoy the beautiful view only when standing close by the window. Together with a small space of the room it gives a strange effect. The hotel has just a few parking places within the site, other possibilities are on the street and nearby square, however these places are also limited.

Review 22:We enjoyed: - beautiful view from the windows - pool - breakfast

Review 23:Parking space very limited - always full, nearby big parking by the church also always full (the free "white" lines) - but time to time it is possible to get space there: matter of luck; Breakfast - always the same (we stayed for a week), absolety no change and mainly only sweet breakfasts (cookies, sweets, cakes, pies) - if you hate sweets you will die of hunger (if you are lucky you will get slice of salami and cheese, but pastry choice is limited if any). Internet parameters (speed, upload, sig. quality) was quite poor even in the common areas (no wifi within the rooms), small rooms - room for 4 made of room for 2 and two additional beds, but no additional space. No public restaurant - only lunchroom for dinners and lunches (half board, full board only)

Review 24:Very good location - nearby the beach, but rather long walk to the city centre; Near church bells making atmosphere; Nice hote pool for children; Friendly staff; Beautiful small garden;

Review 25:The swimming pool is open only till 19.00; it would be nice to have the possibility to swim a bit later in summer.

Review 26:We found this hotel seeking for budget accomodation on Garda lake. The price was very reasonable (77€ for family of 4, breakfast included) and we were a bit suspectful of that offer. But we were very pleasantly surprised. Despite having a bit old furniture (which doesn't bother at all) the hotel is very nice, clean, with great facilities (very nice and very clean swimming pool), excellent air condition (a mandatory when there's 35+ C), very friendly staff - all in all, we missed nothing that one would expect in a 5-star hotel. There's a very nice beach 200 m away on lake, where also pets can swim, the town is nice and charming, like in old Italian 50's movies. A really nice experience.

Review 27:No internet connection from the room. We were on the third floor.

Review 28:The swimming pool was great as it was so hot. Rooms were clean & light. Good value.

Review 29:Only 10 parking place for guests. No wifi in the rooms, it works only on the reception. Old rooms and the water is flowing in wc. Not possible to pay with visa card.

Review 33:rooms were accomodated with very old furniture, especially beds weren´t comfortable, no wifi in rooms

Review 34:hotel and the enviroment looked very nice , but just from outside pool aircondition

Review 35:poor breakfast, tired looking interior of the rooms (no renovation for years), terrace in front of the room on the first floor of qudraple family room which was not cosy

Review 36:Location, friendliness of staff,pool

Review 37:There was no place to leave the car. There is a free parking but sometimes it might be a big problem to find it.

Review 38:Stuff was friendly and helpful. we enjoyed (;

Review 39:Bathroom curtain half torn. Quite a distance from city center by walk. Wanted to have a drink in the evening in the bar but staff attitude made us to go elsewhere.

Review 40:Quite silent. Have own swimming pool with sunbeds. Nice, helpfull staff at receptions desk.

Review 41:breakfast's not much on offer, parking ok but not the best

Review 42:location excellent views of a church and the lake, supermarkets within walking distance nice restaurant next to the lake within 5mins walk past the old roman villa excellent food views of the lake again and entertainment, superb host very friendly and helpful

Review 43:Wi-fi signal very bad. Walls had damp. Shower was broken. Room had no light on ground floor. City center was far. 3 stars is a bit much.

Review 44:Free parking. Decent breakfast.

Review 45:The night receptionist did not speak English. Breakfast was OK but could be improved at several points, for example the coffee. The mattresses were not so comfortable

Review 46:Location Friendly staff Clean Rooms Cozy atmosphere

Review 47:with 4 beds in the 3 bed room it was very hard to move. But were not there to stay in the hotelroom only to sleep there so it was ok when you sum it up. wifi didn't work in the room we had to sit in the lobby. The only place on our 3 week trip in europe that had this problem. Bad!

Review 48:close to the pool. Nice staff. We are very glad the staff watched the pool area when our youngest decided to take swim instead of going to the room as decided. Thanks again :-)

Review 49:Wifi signal was low, we could use the internet in the common areas only. Small bathroom, thin valls between rooms.

Review 50:Advantages: kindly staff, really good breakfast, private parking, good location (cca 45 min from Venice, Burano, etc.). Good price-value rate.

Review 51:No wifi in rooms - particularly important to teenagers. Even the wifi in the lobby was unreliable.

Review 52:Just a beautiful place that is run with passion. Spent 2 nights here and would love to return. Fridge in room. Effective air-con. Nice pool. Fair price for it all.

Review 53:Arrived later than expected (2100) so no warm half board meal we had booked, which was a shame after a huge drive. They did serve us cold meats and salad though, not what my teenagers really wanted. Bathroom was small, shower tiny, so much so my daughters wouldn't even shower. Coffee machine coffee awful, would have expected better for an Italian place. Breakfast selection pretty poor.

Review 54:Air conditioner could have been slightly cooler. Pool could stay open a bit later in summer when it gets dark later.

Review 55:Emilio (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) was a very welcoming host. Buffet breakfast great. Staff & facilities great. Close to Lake activities. Scenic location.

Review 56:There was bad asortiment of tea for the breakfast.

Review 57:I liked old training bycicles on each balkony and retro interier.

Review 58:The worst breakfast ever!

Review 59:Location was good.

Review 60:Breakfast could have been better. Coffee was poor. Hotel location very noisy. Shower very old fashioned.

Review 61:Good value for money. Excellent swimming pool

Review 62:my family is very happy so I can write nothing in the area

Review 63:Nice staff, very good localisation, swimming pool , close to the lake

Review 64:Very uncomfortable beds, shower leaking, flooded the bathroom

Review 65:Helpful staff

Review 66:Parking .

Review 67:Small room, difficulty by parking, bad connection on Free WiFi

Review 68:Swimming pool,air condition,location,fridge in the room.

Review 69:Nothing. Every thing was good.

Review 70:Friendly staff. Pool at the hotel. The very beautiful garden. The balcony. Good AC.

Review 71:wifi solo vicino reception

Review 72:personale

Review 73:Very helpful and friendly reception staff.

Review 74:The room comfort was rather 2 stars and the breakfast was average

Review 75:Nice pool, Proximity to beach, Price/Value

Review 76:Bedrooms need a overall very old and dark depressing

Review 77:Swimmingpool breakfast

Review 78:Very small rooms when extra beds used.

Review 79:Our Children liked the pool best (sad that the pool area closed at 7PM).

Review 80:Wi-fi didn't work.

Review 81:Everything but Wi-fi

Review 82:No Parking, expensive

Review 83:Good Location

Review 84:No Wi-fi in rooms

Review 85:Nice place

Review 86:Air conditioning wasn't working properly ...

Review 94:staff gentile; la piscina è carina

Review 95:Nothing ! that we stayed only one night and had the chance of running away in the morning....

Review 96:Rooms, quite old and not so clean. Breakfast quite terrible

Review 97:Swimming pook was ok.

Review 98:all good pleasant stay

Review 99:Dark room in the hotel-part. A bit away from restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel.

Review 100:Good value.

Review 101:Pool, design, lobby for watching mondial final!

Review 102:furniture and other equipments were quite old and looked used.

Review 103:I loved the garden. Nice place for the kids and their parents.

Review 104:The owner and staff are very friendly.

Review 105:Everything was good, but we stayed just one night.

Review 106:The Staff was very helpful, the food was really good.

Review 107:Interior needs refurb

Review 108:Location

Review 109:Nothing :)

Review 110:Lovely,helpful staff. Fridges and air con in the rooms, lovely atmosphere, pool available and hotel has lake views and its own bar and restaurant.

Review 111:Noise from the traffic was unexpected but not too bad, there is also a light industrial area visible and generating a low hum. Coming by ferry, the hotel is about 2km away, so management could offer advice on getting to the hotel (although many people have their own car).

Review 112:The hotel rooms have nice views of the snow capped mountains and Lake Garda. There are few options for dinner, but a stand out for us was Ristorante Pizzeria Promontorio in the camping grounds. Ask to sit upstairs for stunning views and great food/service.

Review 113:We liked that its a beautiful place, wonderful view to mountains, great comunication, a lot of place for parking, very delicious food especealy dinner. Not far from lake and calm place, almost any disturbance.

Review 114:Well, breakfast is not the best we've eaten, it's not even in the middle. Also, but that's not the fault of hotel, bells from near church on Sunday morning can easily substitute alarm clock.

Review 115:It is in old style, nicely furnished and clean. THere was also good view, from our room we have seen both lake and mountains.

Review 116:Wi-fi only in public area and switches on and off alot

Review 117:Good location near to the lake, nice beach for swimming. Breakfast had a good selection, hotel grounds were very well kept. Room was basic but had a nice view of a little cobbled stone street

Review 118:The breakfast was terrible - was always available, refilled, but the quality of the food was well under expectation, and absolutely the same for every day.

Review 119:Lake Garda is beautiful, with all the old small Italian towns and cities on the shore it is amazing. Toscolano Maderno is in the center of the lake in terms of location, you can go anywhere with the regular Boat service on the lake. For cycling I recommend the east and south side of the lake, the west side is full of tunnels which is not so nice at all. The hotel is acceptable choice in case of the weather is good and you are not linked to it, but in case you need to spend there daytime as well I don't recommend.

Review 120:love people working there very friendly and beautiful hotel.. just more than 3 stars.. especially in colder weather you could easily enjoy staying inside, very safe outside also beautiful dinner..price was very good...

Review 121:Breakfast was a bit of a let down. Nothing fresh like fruits or juices.

Review 122:Nice hotel. We had a room in the dependance on the ground floor. This meant the room was cool, and we had a nice little terrace in the garden of the hotel. Room was quite big, but very outdated.

Review 123:n/a

Review 124:This hotel had a real homely feel. It was a lot older than the other hotels on our trip but this was nice as it had lots of character and charm which was enhanced by the hilarious manager. The breakfast was a little limited although nice. What made this hotel really special was its location to the Lake and nearby Maderno. Also the music night that the manager laid on for the guests was fab. We took the ferry from Maderno across to Torri del Benaco priced at 13Euros per adult return. A great base for Lake Garda!

Review 125:It's too far to walk to the city centre, where parking is not easy and quite expensive.

Review 126:Lovely swimming pool. Clean room with nice patio. Breakfast ok. Good value for money (2 nights € 125).

Review 127:The bathroom was to small and a bite old. Not enough parking space.

Review 128:The atmosphere in the hotel was wonderful. The owner very pleasant and helpful. The room had a nice view of the garden and it was very peaceful. The breakfast on the terrace was memorable. Will come again.

Review 129:Breakfast was tasty but there was not many things to choose. However comparing to other Italian hotels it was still much better.

Review 130:Bikers friendly place. Very nice hotel for a very good price. Nice view on the Garda lake, and very friendly and helpfull owner.

Review 131:Rooms under roofs are quite small, but OK for the price. Preferably stay on lower floors. As usually, pictures are taken from the very best angles and the actual layout of the hotel might be a bit dissapointing. No cocktails at the bar, but fair offer of other liquers.

Review 132:Nice lobby. Friendly staff, ready to give valuable tourists recommendations! Silence.

Review 133:The decor is very old fashioned and the bed were so uncomfortable the worst i have ever slept in and just two singles pushed together not a double! Staff didnt seem interested in us as there was a big coach party of noisey matures who where staying up to early hours of the morning spending lots in the bar. The one thing it doesnt mention is its about 100 m from a church and the bells go from 7am to midnight so worth bearing in mind! Very big drop into car park and saw several cars incl my porsche ground out trying to go in!! There should be a warning sign put up!

Review 134:Liked the fact it had a swimming pool and rooms were a nice size And fridge and balcony. The area is nice and good for walking into town about 15mins

Review 135:Nothing fresh for breakfast - no fresh fruit, vegetables, nothing. There is an old guy in a hotel (owner's father?) with obsession on baguettes - he keeps checking them every 20 seconds or so:) Hotel is not on the beach (as it might seems) but ~10 minutes away. We preferred pool anyway.

Review 136:Hotel was OK - simple yet clean room (beware of extremely slippery bathroom), good location in quite town of Toscolano Maderno. Hotel pool is nice. Rooms have AC. Would stay again.
