Reviews for Villa Cappellina
Review 1:The house is not well maintained and the whole product is just average. Our room No. 5 (Booking.com stated 30 m2) was really small, maybe half of it, not even enough space for the luggage to be opened. The terrace is nice, but during our stay it was dirty. Breakfast also average, not even a croissant per person available. It is really a pity to have totally substandard service on such a great location.
Review 2:Pension house in located on a shore of Lake Garda in a peaceful wonderful location.
Review 3:Beautiful view and incredible feeling of privacy. Hotel feels like a house!!!!!!!! Beautiful breakfast. Stayed here in December was perfect experience. Went shopping in Verona with all the Christmas decorations. Just perfect. Thanks.
Review 4:The bed was huge, two mattresses which weren't tied together so I invariably woke up in a huge gap in the middle. The villa is looking a bit dated, could do with a freshen up.
Review 5:Absolutely stunning view from our balcony right on the lake. Laura, the young lady who appears to work 20 hours a day was helpful and always smiling.
Review 6:The hotel isn't very clearly sign posted and is located off s very busy road on a corner.
Review 7:Nicely situated, the views of the lake from the balcony was beautiful, staff were lovely, off a busy road and was nice and quiet. Rooms were 10/10.
Review 8:the double bed was 2 single put together but if you turned in the gap the 2 beds were separating. A double topper would have solved this problem. I will ask next time.
Review 9:Staff was very helpfull and late check in was perfect for a late landing flight. The view from our room was fab and the balcony was an added bonus and very spacious to chill on a summers stay
Review 10:The room was a bit dark, the hairdryer was out of order (yet girls from reception borrowed us their own, twice).
Review 11:Awesome location, superb view. Typical Italian breakfast (though some people might be dissapointed with that). Car parking - with a roof. Nice lobby to have a coffee or some wine and rest.
Review 12:By the road, not much around, you would need to drive to the nearest town.
Review 13:Beautiful views of the lake, especially for the sunrise. Lots of greenery, flowers. Pool.
Review 14:Had to have a car otherwise cut off...
Review 15:A liitle out of the way...need a car...but a fantastic place to stay... right on the waters edge..the two girls on the reception were so helpful...
Review 16:Very poor reception/manager on arrival. However replacement manager was very good. Property a bit tired and need of some TLC but grew on us.
Review 17:Location and balcony to junior suite
Review 18:1 female member of staff on reception was very rude, turning her back on us when we were approaching her, as soon as we checked in she told us not many guests like the accommodation, it was a liitle lodge near the pool not in the main building. the sky tv in the room didn't work and nothing was done about it.
Review 19:the steps down to a private little cove by the Lake.
Review 20:location right on the lake edge, having breakfast on the balcony and the view from the pool amazing. Close to local town with excellent ferry connections. plently of car parking
Review 21:It's a little secluded so you would be best hiring a car if possible although we managed without. Could do with kettle etc in the room. Otherwise faultless.
Review 22:The views are simply stunning. Sunbathing by the pool listening to the waves lapping against the rocks, gazing out at the mountains is magnificent. Staff so lovely and helpful.
Review 23:Unfortunately it seems when we arrived that the usual manager was not around and the hotel was being covered by different staff. Our room was not clean when we arrived and continued to not be cleaned while we stayed, including bins not being emptied for the entirety. Breakfast was very poor. We were also on the ground floor and there was a lot of noise from the kitchen early in the morning. The balconies could also be made more private so you could enjoy the beautiful views without feeling that you are sat with your neighbours. New management came in on our second to last day and things did improve - our room was cleaned and breakfast was better and they did offer us a discount in recognition for the bad service. This hotel would once have been a wonderful place to stay I'm sure but we were left feeling it had seen better days
Review 24:The views. Also a private pier across the lake. Pool very nice as well as gardens
Review 25:not clean .. heeating from air con ..poor ....
Review 26:building and wiew from room was great , faar away from city but if you have car no big deal , stuff was so - so , but room was not clean , and heating was not good .not recomend in a winter time .....
Review 27:it smelled heavily of fuel oil, the rooms have been furnished approx. 40 years ago, heating was a disaster, no heating in the bathroom, one blanket for two, which was extremely dirty! NOT to go there!! the biggest disappointment of all travels ever done!
Review 28:very nice location, directly at the lakeside, beautiful view
Review 29:Difficult to find as Coordinates given were wrong. A strange smell in the corridor on the first day. But will still come again as romantic and good value for money.
Review 30:The view was just wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely romantic garden and reception was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Good breakfast too. Staff OK. All perfect for a romantic holiday in winter.
Review 31:The view from our room was amazing especially in the morning when the sun has come up.the friendly staff are always there on hand to help you even tho English isn't there first language. All in all a great few days away
Review 32:The main road above the villa doesn't have a pedestrian walkway - too dangerous to walk anywhere. Public transport unreliable. Need your own car. The rooms along the bottom of the villa are shaded virtually all day by the balcony's above.
Review 33:Great views Friendly staff Quiet Relaxing
Review 34:- Far from entertainment parks - No suitable locations for jogging - Gym should be upgraded
Review 35:- Suite with balcony to the lake - very nice staff - large suite - wonderful location
Review 36:it's a bit pricy and for that Kind of money, we would have expected e.g. fresh fruits, fresh rolls for breakfast etc. -- still, for average Italy, breakfast was quite good
Review 37:very friendly staff; excellent location
Review 38:We hadn't rented a car and I would not recommend this place unless you had your own transport. Very far from public transport and had to get taxis to travel.
Review 39:A gem of a place which helps you relax and unwind. We had a wonderful, spacious room with direct access to the stunning pool area so we ended up spending a lot more time in the hotel than we generally would.
Review 40:It was a bit of nuisance having to take the car even to Toscolano Moderno, (no pavement for safe walking) but otherwise location handy for ferries and other villages on western side.
Review 41:Beautiful intimate villa with stunning views of the lake from our rooms. Both members of staff were attentive without being overpowering. Felt like we'd stepped into a James Bond film from the 70s. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of cold meats and cheeses, cereals, fruit, yogurt, pastries, croissants etc, all eaten on veranda outside. Lovely pool and private jetty.
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:Nature. Silence . Environmental. Continental Great Breakfast. . Great place.
Review 44:"Gym" shouldn't be allowed to be called gym
Review 45:Great location Good breakfast
Review 46:Quite uncomfortable to reach for, especially if you do not have a car
Review 47:Room is big Cleanliness Comfort Staff
Review 48:wifi was only accessible from the lounge

Review 60:Food, cofee,tea was tarible!
Review 61:Location
Review 62:Hot water low pressure Windows of the bathroom face the neighbours' balcony
Review 63:Place and Views Terrace Breakfast
Review 64:The personnel has been very friendly and the location is really beautiful.
Review 65:old furniture, old shower with a lot of chalk, bad isolaton, breakfast (less fresh things), whole in our room
Review 66:location near thelake, friendly staff
Review 67:Amazing Villa. Truly fantastic views. Great location.
Review 68:The crew service, especially from Franchesca, was absolutely perfect, professional and kind. The hotel is small and very intimate. We loved the hotel's room, pool and hot-tub (Jacuzzi). Oh, did I mentioned that the hotel is sitting on the lake shore and there's even stairs and deck connecting the hotel where you can get a tan? For the price, you can only expect for a huge value. Very recommended.
Review 69:No dinner service during our stay.
Review 70:Perfect location on the lakeside, with only 4 min drive to the charming town of Gargnano. With wine & dine oppertunities, and small shops. Only one word is needed to describe Villa Cappellina - Perfect Tranquility!
Review 71:When we checked into Villa Cappellina the staff gave us a tour of the Villa and a great run down on how quite it was at the Villa, (which really suited us as we had a very long drive planned for the next morning) The Villa is actually a converted house and we were a bit disconcerted to discover the walls are paper thin, so much so that if you have an ear for music you can get the full range of notes from the guy snoring in the room next door (or the full stereo version of his after hours exercise workout as well) The night we stayed the Villa management had organised a presentation dinner to a large group who were looking at holding a Wedding function on site. The dinner went on until about 10:30 pm (Remember the paper thin walls), then the staff (who I'm sure were wearing hobnail boots) set about cleaning up after the function. Blew my stack at 11:30pm and trooped out in shorts only, to strenuously request that they keep the volume down to a dull roar!!!! Absolutely LOVED the location but wouldn't stay there again for payment!!!... There are a hundred other beautiful hotels and apartments available along the Lake that would be a whole lot more restful.
Review 72:Beautiful location right on the foreshore of Lake Garda. The room we had was well appointed and comfortable
Review 73:Travel times to other areas in northwest Italy and back to the villa. But for anyone wishing R@R in the area: swimming, fishing, boating, excellent local ristorante, you can't go wrong with Villa Cappellina.
Review 74:Irina and Francesca were exceptionally responsive to guests needs, providing information regarding local tourist areas, places to eat. The villa is beautifully located with quiet, safe and private grounds.
Review 75:Lack of direction on finding it (took us almost an hour to find it) Quite a distance away from nearest city center (driving only)
Review 76:Perfect for honeymooners Excellent staff Excellent rooms Beautiful views Beautiful hotel and facilities On-site parking and pool Photos on the site didn't do the hotel justice
Review 77:Absolutely nothing .... a great place to stay !
Review 78:The young ladies running the establishment were exceptional, they were extremely helpful and made our stay very special it is a magical location and the rooms were spacious and airy with fantastic balconies overlooking the lake the breakfast had a lot of variety and well presented , the whole hotel was very clean and you felt like you could relax and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the town, we had a lovely stay and will certainly be back for a longer holiday, this hotel is furnished in the old Italian style and has a certain charm but is not modern , overall a fantastic place in a great location , would highly recommend !!!!
Review 79:The shower arrangement is poor with the handheld shower. Location is tricky but they will guide you on the phone.
Review 80:The serenity and views on the lake. Staff were helpful in giving directions and suggestions. Centrally located between the various towns allowing options for meals and excursions
Review 81:It didn't seem like a 4 star hotel. At least the room
Review 82:The location is perfect with a beautyful view from the swimming pool. The personel is extremely nice.
Review 83:Because our room lay at the end of a corridor, all the noises from the rest of the (beautiful) house channelled right to our room. But it wasn't too bad.
Review 84:The location directly on the shore of lake Garda is absolutely superb. Although we had one of the 'cheap' rooms (small) we had a little terrace and faced the lake.
Review 85:The location is amazing with a ferry port nearby so you can catch a boat to anywhere else in the Lake. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The whole place is clean.
Review 86:old fashioned bathrooms without shower, poor breakfast, beautiful place but somewhat neglected
Review 87:Amazing views, excellent location, big balconies, very good access to the lake, quite place, nice architecture of the building, nice swimming pool, small fitness on the terrace with beautiful view on the lake
Review 88:Absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 89:bathrooms must be upgraded
Review 90:Great location on the lakefront Private beach area Great view from balcony
