Review 1：We complained that our air conditioning and a light wasn't working and nothing was done, and we woke up in the night with a cockroach in the bed.. And ants in the bathroom... Was not a pleasant stay

Review 5：The fact we had to pay cash as apparently their phone ones weren't working!!! Upon reflection we should have refused to do this as credit card details had already been taken.

Review 6：Room was a bit small, no comfy chair to sit on and no chairs to sit on if you wanted to have your breakfast in your room there was only a desk chair (office chair) no good if there is more than 1 person. Also the man who checked us in complained about bookings.com that they have to pay $28 to them for our stay he wasn't happy about it.

Review 8：Most of all the staff and how amazingly accommodating they were for us. We needed a few things to help us with cooking etc and they were given to us without any issues and we had to cut our trip short and they helped out with the change in accommodation without any issues. So happy we chose Hilltop, we were really really happy with the staff, friendly and just happy to help and make our stay enjoyable. The owners would have to be proud of this set of staff that's for sure.

Review 9：The bathroom was smaller than expected, certainly wouldn't want to be an overweight person. It did the job though.

Review 17：The room layout very user friendly and homely. Exceptionally clean. Size of shower/toilet small, however this made up with basin/bench space/double wardrobe/fridge and further bench space more than adequate for a comfortable stay, particularly for multiple nites.

Review 35：We stayed for two nights and the room wasn't serviced once during this time. We would expect that things like toilet paper, tissues, tea, coffee etc would be checked daily.

Review 36：Location. The property was a good distance from busy roads. Room was clean and tidy. The property was as expected.

Review 37：The bathroom could have had some maintenance ...was looking rather tired and there was need for replacing the timber around the door frame from shower water. The screens needed a good clean as spiders were present from the webs around the windows.

Review 39：Due to location on hill it was difficult to find us a parking area for our ute & long trailer. We took up places that were without guests to park the trailer.We had to unhook the trailer from ute. In the morning we drove ute down town to refuel & get supplies because we had to wait until other guests had gone so we wouldn't have trouble negotiating the bend to get out with their parked cars.

Review 40：Very friendly staff who did their best to accommodate us towing a veteran car to National Veteran Car Rally in Kalgoorlie. An excellent meal at motel, a beautiful mushroom & bacon soup! If we didn't have a trailer it would have been a good place to stay.

I had asked for a wheelchair friendly room on booking, but on the day of arrival staff contacted me to tell me that the hotel did not advertise as wheelchair friendly- too late!

Review 58：Owners were clearly there for their own well being and have little respect for guests or staff. Restaurant was appalling. All meals over cooked - kids sausages were so over cooked and dry that they had a hard dry crack along the whole length as was inedible. There was 1 extremely fragile waitress run off her feet, literally running from table to table with an apology as the first words out of her mouth. We didn't want to send the food back in fear she would have complete breakdown. Owner barely acknowledge me on returning the keys in the morning. No, how was your stay or thankyou for staying just a simple yep as I put the keys on the counter - 3 other staff present ignored me completely. Never again.

Review 65：I loved that it is close to absolutely everything I wanted to visit and so easy to find and get to. The staff were amazing and the restaurant was very good too. There were a few hiccups but nothing major.
