Reviews for Antico Borgo Di Tabiano Castello
Review 1:Everything! We booked 4 nights and had an unforgettable experience. The spa, the accomodation, breakfast dinner, breath taking view and not to mention the amazing staff. 5 stars to all!
Review 2:Worse beds of all hotels during our 2-week trip in italy (totaly 7 hotels). Extremely hard. I had made up a deal with the hotel that they would put a letter for my wife on the bed at arrival. There was no letter there to my dissapointment. The resturant was not more then okay. Not worth the money compared to other resturants.
Review 3:The views are just as amazing as the hotel building. Pool area great. Wifi everywhere.
Review 4:Air Con could do with an upgrade.
Review 5:Excellent staff - very friendly and professional. Lovely accommodation in beautiful setting. Highly recommended for couples.
Review 6:We had no bad experiences but it is worth bearing in mind that the hotel comprises of several rustic buildings below a privately owned Castello. The building where our rooms were situated had no lift but our cases were carried up 2 flights of stairs for us on arrival. Mosquitoes could be an issue if you are prone to bites.
Review 7:The hotel is located in beautiful countryside but within easy reach of Parma and the many castles in the area. The hotel restaurant was very good and Petra (the manager) and all her staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Review 8:We stayed 2 nights from Saturday to Monday. We have been told that breakfast ends at 10:30 and when we arrived on Monday around 10:15, the restaurant was closed and quite aggressive been told by older lady that on Monday it is closed at 10 (we were not informed) and if we want to eat this will be charged extra. Finally after the argument we had been offered the breakfast, however unfortunately prior departure mood was a little bit unpleasant. Its a pity as we love this place and we hope that restaurant service will be improved.
Review 9:It has been second time we stayed in this wonderful peaceful place! The area is beautiful and relaxing. We were happy to stay in the same room as last year with a little kitchen and amazing view!
Review 10:Our room was a bit peculiar, with a sort of sleeping platform overhead with a couple of mattresses on - useful I suppose if you had small kids, which we don't. Also the wi-fi didn't work in our room. bathroom was a bit dingy too, but these are all minor quibles. Beware insects when eating outside. Take insect repellent or live with the bites.
Review 11:The hotel is in a fabulous location with wonderful views over the countryside. We had a good breakfast everyday (although bacon and eggs appeared only on Sunday morning) and a lovely candlelit supper on the terrace one evening. We loved the friendly dog in reception, and the helpful staff.
Review 12:Little hole in the entrance door to the room. So noises from the room can be hearable. And small water protection shower cabin wall in the bathroom. Nothing more.
Review 13:Wonderful views!!! Nature, pool and saunas in real cave! Staff was helpful, the breakfast was gorgeous for Italy. Nice view from room and bath right in the room .
Review 14:The rooms -old, but not in the way you would appreciate it. You have to check out, which rooms is suitable to your needs. Don't take first choice, if you can. The area around the Hotel - dead, depressive you need to know-what you want to do- - only Fidenza - is not good enough ..... Breakfast for such a castle - could be so easily upgraded and be a highlight for the stay - if you stay in a castle - you want to indulge - see flower arrangements - missing everywhere; attention to details - so sad - since you got it all Guests have expectations staying in a castle - try to meet these
Review 15:The setting of the castle, beautiful, the Reception attentive and friendly, the wifi ok Oscars Restaurant fantastic-does not belong to the Hotel, but is within the building.
Review 16:It was like being in a heavenly dream!
Review 17:Very warm and friendly staff.
Review 18:Too many flights of stairs on foot
Review 19:Great location and stunning historic building
Review 20:The location was peaceful and the rooms had rough rock walls and made it feel very romantic.
Review 21:A suite in the tower to which we got the upgrade was simply amazing. The breakfast with home cakes and variety of choice were splendid.
Review 22:It's a beautiful peaceful place with stunning views on the fields and medieval castle. Perfect place for a short brake from the busy life, to enjoy walking, biking or chilling out next to the pool with pause for a reflexology massage. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant is great a well with a cook from Milan football team :-)
Review 23:be aware! this place is very hard to find and don't count on your GPS. we had 2 Tabianos in the GPS and we drove to the one that was near Parma... but it was 60 km away in the middle of the night. the girl in the reception really tried to help us but it didn't really help. they really have to do more in order to make the driving to their place more clear as we were told many people are driving to the other Tabianos!
Review 24:The views from the hotel are just amazing, it is located at a high place near vineyards. The place has a lot of charm. the stuff was very kind.
Review 25:Staff was especially welcoming and helpful during our visit. The castle tour is a great two hour trip onto the past hosted by a member of the family that currently owns the castle. Property manager Petra is very friendly and helpful.
Review 26:There is no entrance to the castle. The castle is privately owned. Theaccommodation is outside the castle wall in the servants or workersquarters. The food was dissapointing, if the served michelin qualityfood or at least attemp, would then be great experience but the placealone without proper food is not good enough.
Review 27:Not sure what it was, but we had the best sleep there on our way toZurich from Croatia. Extremely relaxing, silence and peaceful. Exactlywhat you would want after a long drive. Romantic.
Review 28:Nothing
Review 29:Everything, a beautifully restored castle that puts a big smile on your face from the moment you arrive, stunning views over the valley, great food, lovely staff, totally relaxed.
Review 30:What a wonderful place to stay for some days! The various buildings of the castle are restaurated and furnished with taste, the rooms are luckily not overstyled but comfortable, the dinner on the terrasse was excellent, only topped by the view over the countryside and the warm welcome and friendly chat with the host made our stay delightful. we'll come back!
