Reviews for Hotel Zeezicht
Review 1:The location of the hotel is superb and our room had a balcony looking over the busy port. Harlingen is an undiscovered gem perfect for a short break. The room and breakfast were of a very high standard.
Review 2:Small stuffy room, up 4 flights of narrow stairs (no lift, no airco). Breakfast choice was limited both in selection and quality, and the narrow breakfastroom lead to long waits, very unpleasant. 3 nights parking was charged as 4 nights. 200 euros for room and simple dinner for 2 was bad value for money.
Review 3:Friendly staff
Review 4:Breakfast one morning was a little disappointing. All tables were dirty and food was a little cool at the buffet. Had to ask for utensils. Staff did respond well when asked.
Review 5:Location. View was excellent.
Review 6:The stairs-------we loved every thing about the hotel but as we get older we think that lifts are going to be necessary and it would be a shame if older people can't enjoy such hotels
Review 7:Just about everything!!!!!!!
Review 8:No complaints at all.
Review 9:Beautiful spacious room with historic features. Parking though book it ahead if you can. Sitting at outdoor bar watching the boats come into the canal.amazing seamanship.
Review 10:The internet connection is not brilliant but I believe they are working to get it improved!!
Review 11:The friendly approach of the all staff who were willing to accommodate the customer. Nothing was too much trouble and they showed a genuine interest in your comfort and well being.
Review 12:We really like everything indeed.
Review 13:We like everything in Hotel Zeezicht becouse the team make it possible a lot of nontrivial things real. Inspite of the fact that our trip itself was not easy from psychological point of view we felt cosily and comgortably... Thanks a lot!!!
Review 14:breakfast was continental and minimal but as an Englishman i would say that
Review 15:well received on arrival, found the staff most helpful and enjoyed an excellent meal that evening. parking was available and was most useful as i had to drive there.
Review 16:Stayed here while visiting family, location is excellent, staff helpful & friendly.
Review 17:I left two days early, but still charged for the days I did not stay.
Review 18:Hotel, restaurant and bar staff all the same. They get to know you.
Review 19:no problems
Review 20:very helpfull staff- carried a heavy bag upstairs for us (no elevator), loaned us an umbrella when it rained, etc.
Review 21:Location ! Just in front of the ferry for the islands. Nice haven in front. The room was very nice and very good quality beds.
Review 22:Perfect location, view
Review 23:Location
Review 24:great staff and friendly atmosphere!
Review 25:We had a nice surprise: a music festival in the hotel!
Review 26:The friendly approach of all staff and the excellent food in the restaurant
Review 27:Great location, nice hotel and decor, room overlooked the harbour, private parking available (but at extra cost).
Review 28:Very friendly and helpful hotel team!
Review 29:We very much enjoyed watching the boats come in from the lovely lounge terrace. Great restaurant and service.
Review 30:Vehicles crossing the metal lifting bridge directly beside the hotel sent a low frequency boom through the bedroom from 5am The staff seemed angry that we had used booking.com as they had to pay commission. They claimed they had none of the rooms left that were advertised so we felt compelled to pay a slightly higher price at checkout.
Review 31:Views, especially from the restaurant Food in the restaurant was very nice
Review 32:The rooms were ok, I expected less so I was content. If I were to stay for a longer period however, I would not have booked this hotel.
Review 33:It is a very nice small hotel, on a very central location. Friendly personnel and very good quality food etc.
Review 34:Reception, the bathroom, the beds, the non-ability to open windows, reception and also billing
Review 35:Center of town, close to water and sea. Breakfast was OK
Review 36:Parking is scarse.
Review 37:The view over the lively harbour, if you are lucky to get a room facing it. Great breakfast, included in the price of the room. Charming Town.
Review 38:Historical hotel in the heart of old Harlingen. Convenient to ferries to the Dutch Island. The staff is helpful in giving us information of the area. They were very accommodating when family came to visit and have lunch. We had a room overlooking the habour and the ferry. Very picturesque! Our family has gone to this hotel for many years and have always felt welcomed, it is our home away from home. We always enjoyed our buffet breakfast in a dining area with beautiful views. The dining areas all have big windows allowing us the enjoy the boat traffic into the harbour and canals.
Review 39:The weather was appalling so we used all the facilities.
Review 40:My wife's family were from Harlingen so we have stayed here before. The staff and owners are very pleasant and as I had fallen over in the car park and cut my head they were so kind and helpful towards me. The location is right at the start of the network of canals in Harlingen and opposite the ferry dock which means you can watch all the boats arrive and depart. The buffet breakfasts are excellent, typical Dutch, cooked meats, boiled eggs and hot dishes of scrambled egg and dutch streaky bacon. The evening meals offered local fish and steaks and daily specials.Lunch time offered a full menu including Dutch snacks.
Review 41:No smoking facilities Extra parking costs which were not pointed out. Some Doors to outside locked. basic room a bit small and cluttered with too much out dated furniture.
Review 42:location, breakfast
Review 43:My wife did not like the spider on the bedroom window or the spider on the shower room window.
Review 44:The excellent chef's tournedos, my wife and I both agree it was the best from around the world. The chef ranks well above Gordon Ramsey.
Review 45:We were disappointed with the restaurant which is perhaps ok after Dutch standards, but the views of the harbour from there were wonderful.
Review 46:Excellent location in the busy harbour, also with wonderful views of open sea from the upper floor.
Review 47:Ordered room with balcony, didn't have a balcony. Rooms slightly on the small side for the price, but everything is in them. Wooden floors and high heels on stairs/in hallway don't mix well with people trying to sleep.
Review 48:Bed comfortable Breakfast great Overall fairly quiet
Review 49:The staff has a very poor attitude; unfriendly, unhelpful, uninterested. Amazing how they are all the same in this respect; no exceptions
Review 50:Location; the hotel has been modernized and the rooms are nice, modern and with great sea and harbor views
Review 51:It was a special occasion and they took the time to acknowledge it. Thebreakfast was wonderful. It is a great area to wander the town, theworking harbor and near the ferry.
Review 52:While the first staff member was quite friendly at check in for the rest of my stay I never really felt totally welcome. No-one did anything wrong nor were they rude but I just felt I needed to work hard to get a smile or a warm response. I think if the smiles were more readily forthcoming it would be a top hotel.
Review 53:I met friends for dinner and the food was fabulous. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and well fitted out.
Review 54:Staff were a little serious. They were better on day 2 than day 1 but not always too friendly and service was a bit slow. Breakfast needs improving.
Review 55:Location was very good, room was also very good with an excellent view of the harbour.
Review 56:No elevator - we had to climb three flights of steps with luggage, smallroom, uninteresting view in room
Review 57:The location on the harbour front, attention to decor
Review 58:We travelled on motorbikes and were made most welcome at the hotel. We had a room overlooking the harbour, which was modern and comfortable. We would stay there again.
Review 59:The owners of the hotel joined the crew and they were VERY rude - especially the wife was awful - we felt that we as gusts were a burden for her even if we behaved well. Maybe she had a bad day. Her husband was just unkind. The employed were all very ok and helpfull. WE never come there again. On this trip we used Booking.com for 4 more hotels and ALL and EVERYTHING was in the TOP......!
Review 60:The owners lack of tolerance towards guests--their negative attitudeevery present in all public areas. We were not made to feel at home, quite the opposite--we felt less than tolerated. We have stayed therebefore and knew about their attitude--we only stayed there because ofthe fantastic location.
Review 61:Absolutely fantastic location-
Review 62:Staf was uninterested and unkind.
Review 63:Breakfast was a disgrace.
Review 64:The room was comfy and location was very good since we were due to take the ferry.
Review 65:The stairs - no lift which is a black point on account of my walking infirmity
Review 66:Its location very near the ferry terminal for Vlieland
Review 67:Rather indifferent welcome. Ran out of breakfast items and not replenished
Review 68:Location, private parking, dog friendly, very clean
Review 69:way too expensive! it´s a 2-star-hotel for the price of 4-stars. strange shower! and, sorry, not clean.
