Review 1：The room was dark during the day due to a canopy over the balcony, and lighting in our room was inadequate, really difficult to read except close to the bedside lights. Onsite parking charge.
Review 2：Great position on the lakeside , close to the ferries with restaurants nearby. The view from our room overlooking the bay was fabulous.
Review 3：WiFi not working most of the time.Room a little small. No main light in bedroom which made it difficult to see in the wardrobes.

Review 5：The owner/manager gave away our superior triple room to someone else and gave us a tiny double with a child's bed instead. No explanation, no apology or offer to find an adequate alternative for 3 adults. Just rude. The hotel is lakeside but so is the ferry route which means the nearest beach is polluted and noisy. The breakfast was possibly the worst we've had in Italy considering how many stars this hotel claims to have.
Review 6：The pool was nice but during busy months impossible to find a free lounge chair.
Review 7：The only bad thing was that we ordered a sandwich on the last day and the menu said 'sandwich & chips'. There wasn't any chips! 12euros for a tuna sandwich is a bit steep. I did point it out to the waitress and she went away but didn't return with any chips! A minor thing otherwise an excellent stay.

Review 12：Very comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location by the lake and Ferry landing stage. We travelled by car to the hotel, but used the bus (very cheap) and ferries to visit other resorts. If you aren't eating in the hotel there are several nice cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Also a god centre for road or mountain biking.

Review 22：Moderna is very pretty and not too crowded. We could visit more touristy places by boat and return to a more restful town. It was an ideal position, right by the Lake and below beautiful mountains. we found several very good restaurants and we would certainly return.
Review 23：My husband and I loved everything and all the personnel did the best to help and advice us. They also took care of the parking of our car. The hotel is located near all the interesting locations and museums to visit. During our staying, we didn't use at all our car.
Review 24：Every aspect of the hotel; its build, character and all the facilities; the rooms, air con, pool, variety of breakfast menu. It has a bar with all-day availability of snacks and drinks, plus dinner if you wish), on-site parking and wifi. The lake-side location; a few minutes walk to the beach, so you can swim in the lake if you like. You can hire boats and you can also take the ferry (on foot and car) to certain points on the lake. It's also just a minute or two walk into the town. All the staff for their kindness and attentiveness; the hotel is privately owned, so you get a real sense of pride and ownership right through

Review 39：Airco did not work for 2 nights and it was hot. No compenstaion offred by the Hotel, WiFi did not work most of the time and if so it was very slow. Parking in the Garden, also secure it was quite a mess and the car got dirty from the trees, One wall at the room did have some cracks. TV from neigbourgh room was quite auditable.

Review 44：We were made welcome the minute we arrived. Large room with balcony overlooking the lake. Everywhere was clean & comfortable. All staff very friendly. Breakfast was good value. There is not a lot to do in Maderno, but it is a good base for getting ths ferry to other parts. We loved Torri which has a huge market on Mondays. Would love to go back.
Review 45：The plumbing was a bit quirky, including a hot tap that even with maximum force would not turn off and could be heard 24/7 during our stay. Evening food in the hotel was uninspiring, we ate in on first night as we arrived quite late and on the only rainy day of our week, but we found a couple of very good local eateries.
Review 46：The location was superb with a wonderful view from the 3rd floor facing (west) the Lake-front of Maderno. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was very roomy with a stunning view. Maderno is fairly good for ferries on Garda; not as good as some for connections but we did lots of travelling around and discovering lots of new villages.
Review 47：Other reviews comment on the proximity of the parking to the pool. This is true but we didn't find it too much of a problem. For example when we were there there were not many car movements during the day. So this is mainly an aesthetic objection. Parking is a bit limited. The breakfast selection was pretty good but could be improved if it included a fruit salad (they provide a good selection of whole fresh fruit) and used better bread rolls. The layout is a bit odd. The breakfast buffet is in the dining room but many prefer to eat on the patio. Some, trays would reduce the number of trips required.
Review 48：We had a superior room with a very attractive view of the harbour. The road passing the hotel doesn't get much traffic so the hotel grounds and rooms are pretty peaceful. The hotel is right next to the ferry dock so it is very easy to catch them. Free wifi is OK for email etc. Operation in our bedroom was not reliable but seemed OK in the public areas.

Review 52：We have booked the regular room and got a very big one, with a great,big balcony with the view to the lake. The room was clean, but very veryold with the furniture, I think from 70es... Then we upgraded to theDeluxe Room and it was totally great, everything new and nice. Althoughwe needed to pay extra 20 EUR/day. The location of the hotel isperfect, direct on the lake, near there are several restaurants,supermarket. But at the same time the place is really calm, which istotally perfect for the travel with the child. Also really good locationto explore the west part of the lake. There is also a possibility totravel with the auto-ferry to Torri (other side of the lake) every 30min. You can also find the dream beaches in 15 min walk from the hotel.

The rooms for single travellers wereover the kitchens, badly lit, without comfortable chairs (as was thecase throughout the hotel), and had no balconies. It is possible thatother rooms were better, but I did not see any of them. Dinner on thefirst night was poor, and on the other two occasions during the week,when I was too tired to go out, they had hardly improved
Review 56：Position good, near lake, good communication by boat and bus. Thebreakfast waitresses were pleasant, though the food was not very good.Perhaps it was geared more to German tastes, rather than local Italian.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the location was excellent and the views were superb even though we didn't manage to get a lake view room. The hotel is modern and extremely clean. The pool is very nice and poolside towels are provided. The car park provides ample free parking. There is the added bonus of a superb ice cream place right outside the car park entrance!
Review 59：The small street separating the hotel from the lake could be pretty noisy at night making it impossible to sleep with open window. One time a towel was changed to such a frail item it was puzzling how it's possible to not discard it. The dinner is not worth the price.

Review 63：It is nothing to do with 4 stars - maximum 3 stars hotel. We have bookedthe so called 'superior room', and I have asked few times if it is amistake; if that was 'superior', I fail to imagine what is standard. Onthe second day we have found somebody's shoes under the bed. When Ibrought them to reception I have not heard any apologies, they justasked if I am sure that is not mine. So the rooms are cleaned only atopen space, good that we have not found dead bodies. Room was declaredas renovated. Yes, it was renovated, about 15 years ago. Hotel islocated close to the road, and when you lie near the pool and closeeyes, you can easily imagine that you are in the centre of the crowd onthw market square. So - never again.

Review 67：Being from America, but living in Europe for 9 years we have stayed at many hotels. The friendliness of this hotel is wonderful. Parking was available, the atmosphere was relaxed and we were able to have our dogs with us. Great breakfast buffet and poolside was very relaxing. Would definately recommend this hotel and if we travel back to Lake Gardsa area we will stay here again.
Review 68：I was not impressed that the Car Park is beside the sun bathing and some cars were at the end of sunbeds as it is not really a car park but part of the gardens. Also you are asked to hand in your key when leaving the hotel but they sit on the reception desk all day until you return, leaving it wide open for anyone to take them as there is a lack of attendance on the front desk.
Review 69：I liked how close the hotel was to the Lake and the room we had was excellent facing the Lake with beautiful large doors out onto a small balcony in the old part of the hotel as requested with spectacular views. Although room was quite small and badly designed this did not ruin our stay.
