Reviews for Hotel Francs

Review 1:None.

Review 2:Reasonably near to Disneyland. Great spread of breakfast with good mix of Japanese and Western choices. There is also nearby shopping complexes such as Aeon and outlet mall. Nippon-rent-a-car is within walking distance.

Review 3:Just like other comments on other sites the hotel overall is very very old and kept to the bare minimum. The AC unit is at par with the age of the hotel making it very inefficient and loud. The rooms were recently painted but there is so much paint can cover.

Review 4:Good location. Walking distance from the beach and some restaurants and shops. Really Friendly staff. If you get a ocean front room, the view of sunset is amazing. Otherwise, ok.

Review 5:Hotel is very far from Tokyo centre like Shinjuku, Shobuta, Ginza. Takes almost 90mins by trains (subways) from Hotel to these locations with alot of walking between different connecting stations

Review 6:Helpfulness of staff. They went out of the way to help me on directions for subway as Tokyo subways are extremely complicated with several operators. Less than 10mins walk to Kaihin Makuhari station which next to Mitsui Factory Outlet and restaurants.

Review 7:No exercise facility. We were near parks and made do.

Review 8:The service and staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful at all times--and very courteous. Despite any language difficulties, if you are patient, they will find what you need. Rooms were clean and well-appointed for the business traveler.

Review 9:Be sure to book a double room with two single beds. The room with one double bed is far to small for two people; there's not even room for two suitcases. The staff of the hotel speaks no English which was disappointing.

Review 10:Limited facilities, restaurant closed service for dinner at 8.30pm. No iron or ironing board in the room.

Review 11:The hotel was close to the places I needed to be and seemed to be quite clean

Review 12:Water doesn't get hot enough in the bath, but it's a small thing.

Review 13:Spacious room, pretty touches in decoration, friendly staff, clean room, welcome flower was a nice touch

Review 14:Breakfast almost the same everyday. Hope has more variation foods.

Review 15:Great location near the Kaihinmakuhari station for 5 minute walk. Kind and patient staffs were carefully give us important information (speak with English).

Review 16:nothing

Review 17:Everything but especially: the staff that makes you feel good from the moment you arrive until you depart; the breakfast location has great view of the ocean and the receptionist was kind enough to let me sit by the window; and of course the welcome tray of fruits is a great idea!

Review 18:the staffs are absolutely kind, walking distance to JR station to go everywhere in Tokyo urban. If you have experienced how small the hotel room is in downtown Tokyo, you could enjoy a better space here.

Review 19:need to walk around 5 minutes and direction was bit unclear. but it's easy once you've been there once.

Review 20:Room was Clean and Comfortable. Bed upgraded from small double

Review 21:Best Breakfast of our Japan stay-Got upgraded to Suite at no extra charge from Small double we booked.Great staff would recommend highly the whole experience was superb

Review 22:The staff were very helpful and even though we could not get a non-smoking room they informed us that they had taken extra care to clean the room and deodorize it! The breakfast was a nice touch and the views from the room were wonderful! Our room was a decent size for a Japanese hotel. They even had a rose and a nice little card with our names on it in the room since they knew we were newly married!

Review 23:Standard rooms quite small. Had a free upgrade to the executive floor, but that room was on the small side too.

Review 24:Hygiene and service from staff was great. Wifi also worked well throughout entire hotel. Breakfast was decent.

Review 25:Dinning choice little; convenience store not available; Breakfast choice too little as after 2 days feel bored;

Review 26:breakfast place is high with good view;

Review 27:While I spoke Japanese with the staff, I gather that most of the staff doesn't understand speak English which could make the stay difficult for some travelers. Could be wrong though.

Review 28:Nice room and very comfortable bed. Also had a view of Mt. Fuji.

Review 29:The TV screen is too small. The bed is not very comfortable because the bedspread can easily roll-off the bed.

Review 30:The view is good. The room is comparable bigger than others.

Review 31:Nothing stands out as a notable dislike. Everything was average to slightly above average for my expectations.

Review 32:The staff was very nice and helpful throughout my stay. Always greeting you when you come or go. The room was a good size, quiet, well appointed, and comfort enough.

Review 33:Bar Turtle Club closed 2 hours earlier than the published hours. The front desk even gave the coupon for all you drink option. Did not understand that whole bit.

Review 34:Location was very good for my travels. Staff was friendly. Room was small but comfortable for one. WIFI was excellent. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Review 35:Pay extra for English Channel. They should atleast have 1 newz English Channel for free.

Review 36:The service of the staff is great. They value thier customers and even go extra mile. Also there were no language issues unlike the new otani ( next to it).

Review 37:Seriously, not one bottle of water in the bare minibar, come on what does that really cost you as a hotel when you cant drink the water from the tap.

Review 38:Location suited our requirements for a meeting the next day.

Review 39:Rather small for a double bedroom. Fortunately I was by myself.

Review 40:Located within 5 minutes walk to Kaihin-Makuhari station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Addressed my queries about sending my luggage ahead of my arrival. When I checked in, my luggage were already delivered to my room. The double bedroom that I stayed in was clean and comfortable. They also responded to my request for a room on the high floor with a view. Really appreciate that they took note of my request.

Review 41:Older hotel. Breakfast was not worth $20 but it was decent food. Very hard beds, some may like them but I'm a soft bed man and these were like stone!

Review 42:Very close to the convention center. Good value for Chiba.

Review 43:The room was spacious, the twin single bed we had were huge enough for us and our children. That was really good. The staff were so professional. The location was very close to station and shopping center and outlet mall.

Review 44:-Room had weird smell and was very humid. -Breakfast is definitely not worth the price. Very few kinds of dishes and I didn't notice the difference between omelet and scrambled egg. If you want western style breakfast, this is not the place you want to eat. APA hotel across has real nice breakfast buffet with more variety of food and better taste. Coffee tasted like ash. - I didnt mind, but it's not the closest hotel to Makuhari Messe.

Review 45:- Location is rather comfortable to reach both Makuhari Messe and Kaihin Makuhari station & malls & restraunts. 24 hour convinience store is a 3 minute walk away and so is station, fashion outlet and restraunts. - Welcome fruit and flower - All room is ocean faced. Especially the view from 14th floor restraunt is nice - has cellphone charger with all different kinds of gender available for Iphone, micro 5 pins, etc. - Real BATHROOM with tile-coated floor

Review 46:I went here with my girlfriend's birthday. The staff noted that it was a special day for a young couple, and upgraded our standard room to VIP executive room. The room was gorgeous. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely use this hotel again and would highly recommend this hotel to others who will be staying around in the area.

Review 47:There was only one flush setting of the toilet.

Review 48:It was impeccably clean, the service was well above par, and it had every modern convenience. They also offered an eco option of non daily towel service.

Review 49:Sandard Room is a littel bit smaller than we used before in Tokyo. That is only minor point. However we will choose upgade room next time, then it should be fine.

Review 50:Friendly staff and beautiful hotel and well furnished facilty. Very clean space and floors. Excellent breakfast truly enjoyed . Location is nice and quiet, and very easy access to go to TYO CBD. Atraction of Desneyland is also very close.

Review 51:a double bed equals 2 twin beds (somewhat hard part in the middle) and took up too much space.

Review 52:close to station and some malls, fancy look for small price, airport shuttle available, holds luggage for you, currency exchange available, wifi, comfortable lobby, friendly staff

Review 53:Great location near the Station and Makuhari messe, and then kind hotel staffs. it was a good time to me .

Review 109:very elegant looking staff was very friendly & helpful big lobby/waiting area very accommodating close to the station

Review 110:The tv was quite old and small. Room view towards the sea/parks, but also a large parking lot.

Review 111:Excellent location, close to the train station, various shopping malls and outlets. Nice neighborhood (parks, beach shore). We found fresh fruits in the room. Good wifi. Free coffee.

Review 112:Very low bed and hard matrass. Possibly something to to with the ventilation of the room. Air in the room triggered lots of sneezing and would stop out of the room.

Review 113:Bathroom was very good.

Review 114:Nothing

Review 115:Very convenient from NRT airport via Keisei bus (900y each way). 3 min walk to JR Keiyō Line station (20 min ride to Tokyo Disney). 3 min walk shopping (convenience stores, outlets, restaurants). Very clean hotel, good buffet breakfast, nice rooms, great staff.

Review 116:Hotel staff seriously need to up their english competency. Hotel staff when asked how much is a local phone call charge answer me they don't know. Also, hotel does not have WIFI, only LAN cable. Hotel need to upgrade their facilities and stop being stagnant in its effort to improve.

Review 117:I stayed her 5 years ago, hotel still maintain its general cleanliness.

Review 118:It is very hard to communicate to a foreign country if needed. No gym orpool. It is strictly a hotel. American atm cards don't work atnearby ATMs.

Review 119:The staff was professional and helpful. The room and bathroom wereclean. Close to shopping.

Review 120:The staff is not that attentive. When we arrived at the hotel, by Narita airport bus, no one outside to help with our baggages. The receptionists can't speak English at all seemed.

Review 121:The location is very convenient, and there is a new convenient store nearby. Like the room too, very clean, and the bed was very comfy.
