Review 1：Hospitality of hosts and staff is definitely number one competitor to cosy luxurious rooms and magnificent lake view! Hosts where very kind arranging our night life in Ohrid, and even helped us to solve our car problems. And the atmosphere in Villa's reception area feels like home :). I don't think that you can fail by picking this Villa for your accommodation in Ohrid.

Review 2：Not the best location. Located in a jumbled residential area set back from the lake quite far from town. Was turned off by the fact that the pool which we could see from our room wasn't drained and covered for fall, but instead was left half filled with stagnant water and dead leaves. Yuck! The surroundings of this property, as well as the breakfast room are very cluttered which made the whole place feel a bit shambolic.

Review 3：Our room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and very comfortable with a adequate view of Lake Orhid. The couple running the hotel were courteous and welcoming.

Review 6：Friendly Stuff. Beautiful modern rooms with a view on lake ohrid. Two pools and a good breakfast. Perfect located in a quiet area between the old town of ohrid and the sveti naum springs.

Review 7：Some people who seemed to be not really guests but rather friends of owners were very load and disturbing the calmness of a beautiful place. Parking is quite tricky :)

Review 11：The only thing I didn't like, was that there was a certain smell coming from the bathroom which obliged me to leave the ventilation on during the entire time of my stay. I know, it was not environment friendly, but I was obliged to. Another thing was that there was no restaurant offering lunch or dinner, but just a lovely breakfast buffet. I think the owner should also invest in the restaurant. Calling a downtown restaurant and paying 5 euros for a taxi to bring the food is not very handy. or cheap...

Review 13：Spectacular views. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and modern. Brand new pool area was a bonus. The Villa is away from the confusion of Ohrid and close to Sveti Naum and some lovely beaches.

Review 19：Sparkling clean. Very tastefully decorated room, best I've seen in years for such a type of accomodation. Excellent breakfast, great selection and of very good quality. Private parking. Nice view of the lake. Staff was efficient and friendly. Nice pool (very cold water though)

Review 20：This is a wonderful, family run place. Perfect for a quiet holiday. I was here 16 years ago when it was smaller and just starting. It has been improved and extended beautifully. The staff were very friendly and kind. The owner herself came late evening to sort out a problem with the shower even though a plumber had been called, and when my children were sick at night ( NOT caught at Vila Bisera) she and her staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. I fully recommend Vila Bisera.

Review 24：Challenging to get to due to narrow streets, steep hill to walk to/from the beach, Balkan-style construction (unfinished areas, stairs with no railings near the pool), breakfast just ok considering price of accomodation.

Review 27：If you are in Ohrid to enjoy its culture and history, you are miles away from it even though there are regular minibuses to the city center regularly. Otherwise, a perfect location for beach lovers. The other thing is if you are an early person like me, the breakfast starts late. I was told it would start at 8 but it was never ready when I was down there. One last thing, if you cannot stand families with screaming spoiled kids, stay away from this place.

Review 30：Perfect location and view over the Ohrid lake. Nice and quite. The owner, Filip, and rest of the staff very pleasant and service-minded indeed. They really do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Review 31：Breakfast was cold..there was nothing to keep the eggs warm and only 1 toaster made it a long process! We were not told about the facilities on offer and therefore missed out on the larger swimming pool. Located at the top of hill and lots of steps- not suitable for elderly or people with young children,no wheelchair access

Review 42：The location and view of Ohrid was great. The vila is 3 min walk formthe lake side beach and up on the hill. Parking was ok. The room wasclean and new. Balcony was spacious and safe for the kids to enjoy sunand stars. Staff was very helpful at all aspects.

Review 47：Loved Vila Bisera! It is on a slight hill which gives you nice cool nights to relax and plenty of opportunities to travel around Ohrid. It has very friendly staff and a wonderful owner which we had a chance to meet and have a drink with, which made our stay very pleasant. Thank you for the great hospitality! The vila has been recently renovated and looks great! It is a perfect place for people who love a feel of luxury. Will definitley visit again!

Review 48：Breakfast was pretty disorganised and random and the windows only have a light blind so be ready if you don't like too much morning light.

Review 58：I could speak about the size of the room where you could waltz, the gorgeous view from your private balcony, the shower where you can sit on a bench, all amenities as the swimmingpool, the gym, the outdoor bar or the colorful flowers - but what really makes the difference is that you arrive as stranger and leave as friend: you become a family, drink and sing, party and dance and don't want to leave. The boat trip on Lake Ohrid organized by Philip and Nikola was the cherry on the pie! If you prefer to stay on your own, then go to Germany or England, but for sure not to Macedonia and not to the Balkans! This is not only about beautiful landscapes but about beautiful people. Per gli amici italiani: Philip il proprietario parla perfettamente italiano avendo studiato a Firenze. Come già detto: c'è tutto per una vacanza memorabile, ma più che altro la simpatia e il calore con cui si viene accolti da Philip, il proprietario, e da Marian e sua moglie che gestiscono di fatto l'Hotel. La vista sul lago é splendida, la camera spaziosa, insomma non manca niente, ma più di tutto é l'anima slava che vi catturerà….

Review 59：The couple who runs Vila Bisera is incredibly friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed, from a welcome drink to suggestions about what to see and where to eat, and everything in between. They made our entire stay wonderful and we cannot recommend staying at Vila Bisera more! Though it was too cold to swim when we were there, the facilities are nice, and the view is incredible!

Review 63：The shower cabin had a bit leakage. Absence of electromagnetic cards to enter the room, only key (it's not essential, but a bit discomfortable). The biggest percent among smoking people on a planet are Serbians. But Macedonians do not lag behind. Snezhana, Marian as well as their friends - all of them smoke. If it is a problem for you, just ask them not to smoke at your presence. In this case they will simply smoke outside.

Review 64：We are very grateful to Marian, Snezhana and ofcourse Filip! They are surprisingly kind and friendly people! During the whole staying it feels like you are home, at your own villa! Breakfast is much more diverse than in the Metropol (which is a mile from villa) and is served on a simple table, though. Ohrid is a magnificent place full of incredible views as if you are in a fairy tale. You can meet the sunsets right from the balcony with having a dinner or just a cup of tea. Meanwhile Marian and Snezhana will try their best to make your vacation a holiday to remember! In addition, Marian is a pianist and if you ask him it's more likely he will play something special for you! Overall, we will definitely come back to the "Vila Bisera"! Tips: Marian and Snezhana are married and they live in this villa. Filip is the manager. Filip and Marian speak English, but Snezhana is not yet, she is just learning. I hope it will be useful!

Review 65：Not only the location was superb (and those fantastic beds), but especially the welcome struck us very much! Should there be a downside, it would, in our opinion breakfast can still be improved. We want to come back!

Review 66：When we decided to go to Ohrid we were only expecting to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the area. Eventually it turned out that apart from the magnificent scenery we found great hospitality by Snezana and Marian who are the keeper of the Villa Bisera. They were always willing to treat us and we enjoyed the conversations, their cooking and Marian’s piano playing. Staying there made a real difference to our trip and gave us a much broader perspective on the area and its people. It is needless to mention the abundance of cultural and religious destinations in the greater Ohrid area. A special mention shall be made to Phillip, the owner, with whom we shared so many common interests and thoughts while exchanging our experiences. As a seasoned climber, Phillip can give you the extra hint to discover the area’s hidden treasures. But even downtown his temperament and spirit make him a delightful company. Staying at villa Bisera made the trip to Ohrid a memorable experience that we will repeat when such an opportunity arrives!

Review 67：We were in our honeymoon and the hotel staff welcomed us in a very gentle and polite way and were very friendly with us. This hotel is ran by a very nice, polite, and very very generous family. They helped us with recommendations, bus time and they even gave us a lift to the bus station . And most of all the manager maryan is a professional pianist who played the piano for us. A Delicious Breakfast in the morning with a view on the lake is the best way to start your morning. Many thanks to maryan snezhna and filip for making our trip the best one.

He played a piano while we were having breakfast. Fireplace and wine are really good combination in March:) Wifi connection was strong in the room. Review 81：When you plan for travel you would probably look at the pictures, location and reviews first and then go and select a hotel. That is what we did. When we placed our selection on this hotel we were wondering why the hell 9.5 at Booking, what could look like 9.5 hotel, we never been in such. Now we know - it is all about the attitude of people there - Marian, his spouse and Phillip. May be we were lucky because we went of season - I cannot tell, but we received great hospitality and very nice evenings around the fire over several drinks with great atmosphere and friendly talks. And not to forget to mention that Marian play great on piano. Thank you guys and we hope to come back sometimes in near future too.
