Reviews for Mar Azul
Review 1:They couldn't find our booking when we arrived and seemed reluctant to have us stay even though the hotel did not seem to be very full.
Review 2:The breakfast was freshly prepared with good bread rolls but was meager and without plates. Provision thereof slow and we had to rush as we were departing on a early morning boat trip to the Ballestas Islands
Review 3:Do not book this hotel. No hot water, no wifi connection. With this money you can have a great hostel in Paracas. TV did not work as well. And there is noice all night long as is close to a bar.
Review 4:Location was good, and the beds were ok
Review 5:The only thing I did not like was the cold shower. We arrived midday from a villiage in the Andes mountains, we were dusty and tired and all we wanted was hot showers and a nap. The water was cold. But in Mar Azul's defence they probably turned water temprature down during the day to save money. I had a nice warm shower when I got up the next day.
Review 6:Very pretty hotel. The rooms had balconies you could sit outside and see the ocean and watch the bots come in the harbor. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked well. Breakfast on the roof was excellent. Eggs cooked to order and fresh breads and jam. The stairway in the hotel was beautiful. .Great place, I would definately stay again.
Review 7:Very expensive.I was forced to take my first breakfast in the town, they refused to give my breakfast.Later the receptionest give me back 10 soles. The staff couldn't speak English, very unhelpful,Basic room, no night lamp.No lift.
Review 8:Location was good.Wifi was OK.
Review 9:The people that work there are the most disinterested people I have ever met at a hotel. The entire family seems to sit in the lobby and loudly watch telenovelas all day and all night, and you can hear it in the rooms. The streetlights illuminate the rooms to daylight levels even with the blinds closed, so I kept waking up thinking it was morning. The sheets are a little scratchy and there was no shampoo in the bathroom, something that all of our other hotels in Peru provided. When I had a severe allergic reaction to my lunch, the reception didn't even give me directions to the health center; they just pointed and said "over there" and I had to have the reception of another hotel give me better directions.
Review 10:The location is very central and easy to find. The rooftop terrace has a phenomenal view over Paracas harbor and the breakfast wasn't bad. It was nice to have a small balcony and we did sit out on it at one point. The rooms are acceptably clean but need fresh paint.
Review 11:Staff only speaks Spanish. They had problems finding our Booking.com reservation. Had us relocated in another room.

Review 22:-VERY LOUD (car alarms almost 24 hours a day, echoing hallways, on a main thoroughfare for tourist going to excursions) -No amenities (no phone in room, no hair dryer, no access to iron, no chair, no toliet paper in the toliet, not well lit) -Wifi only worked well on the 1st floor in the lobby
Review 23:-Oceanview covered rooftop -Included breakfast (yum) -Size of room -Staff -Closeness beach -Centerally located -Price -Had american electrically outlets!
