Review 2：very nice owners Jose and Saõ who will do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. Beautifully located 5km outside of Mertola (which at first scared us a bit but which turned out not only an excellent choice but the best choice). From here you can easily make day trips to the interesting towns or sites of the region and come "home" to relax. The house has a swimming pool, gym and jacuzzi) and the common room for breakfast and leisure was very nice. Saõ offered to cook for us...delicious!! Jose made us taste his own wine and honey. He also drove us around to locations which can only be visited in a 4x4 vehicle. They really made our 3 days with them a highlight of our holidays.
Review 3：We can honestly say we have never felt so comfortable staying away from home as we did at Horta da Quinta. There are no words to describe how wonderful and hospitable Mr Jose and Mrs Conceicao were to us. We felt part of the family throughout our stay and almost forgot we were paying guests! The house is beautiful, set in a wonderful location surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The facilities were better than those of a 5 star hotel and the food was simply amazing!!! Agradecemos imenso toda a vossa gentileza e por terem sido verdadeiramente hospitaleiros.
Review 4：To discover the real Portugal, set in a delightful location, this small hotel is outstanding. The owners can't do enough for you and we were invited to Sunday lunch with family as well as sharing breakfast with them every day. Do as little or as much as you like, the pool is great!
