Reviews for San Agustin Paracas

Review 1:Staff is mainly Spanish-speaking (only a problem if you don't speak Spanish).Room doesn't have air conditioning (only fan) but nights are cold and one can sleep well.Windows don't have mosquito nets

Review 2:Comfortable and clean room.Amazing sea view.Excellent breakfast.Good location.Friendly staff.Staff organises affordable tours.

Review 3:The restaurant is not very good. From breakfast to dinner the food is of poor quality at high prices. I doubt the fish is fresh as my wife an I got sick. Also, the chairs are uncomfortable, the indoor area noisy and outside is a bit chilly. Finally, the beach is not nice, although this is probably true of Paracas. Overall I think Paracas is overvalued.

Review 4:Rooms, lobby and swimming pool area are very nice.

Review 5:The hotel had no air conditioning, only had a very small ceiling fan in room to circulate air, we stayed in January which is a hot time of year there. The buffet breakfast is reasonable, plentiful and a good variety but don't get too excited about it as it was very basic. The restaurant offered a decent selection of food for dinner and lunch, cerviche was not bad and the drinks were priced reasonably. There are a few places to eat in the small town but be selective as you don't want to get sick as the conditions are quite poor. The wifi does not work well in your room so you will need to be near the pool or main lobby for the best connection If you have a car take the tour to the Paracas natural reserve and La Mina beach (a must see!!) We rented a private taxi outside the hotel and it was not worth the 90 soles when we could have driven there on our own for free - lesson learned.

Review 6:This hotel is in a great location, well laid out and quite appealing to the eye. It was close to the natural reserve park and easy to find. The views were fantastic, like a postcard of the harbor and facility. It had a very large wonderful pool with plenty of room for adults and children. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing, if you are looking for fun, activities and night life forget it as there is not much around and the hotel offers no activities. In general a good hotel for the money but not more than a 3 star rating. If you don't speak fluent Spanish this will also bring challenges which I found quite unrealistic since they had many Europeans staying there. Also bring bottled water as they don't offer any for consumption and I would not recommend drinking the tap water.

Review 7:The pool was fantastic. All the rooms looked out over the water. The hotel was right across the street from the bus station where we arrived. It was only a 2 block walk to the pedestrian promenade with bars and restaurants.

Review 8:We loved the location, although next to the main pier, it was still quiet. The pool is fantastic which was great because the beach isn't the greatest for swimming. The breakfast was great, and so were other meals we ate at the restaurant.

Review 9:Cons Noisy all night (peoples voices, generator sounds, banging) Poor service at bar No air conditioning/heat Free Internet will connect then disconnect

Review 10:Pros Less than 4 min walk from bus station Every room has balcony with view of ocean Breakfast included Right on beach Lukewarm pool water Large bathrooms with nice standing shower (hot water) Complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner (American amenities) Mini fridge for leftovers Gorgeous sun sets Walking distance to shops/restaurants (5 mins)

Review 11:Customer service, customer satisfaction, price, delay to response to client and zero activities to make it a funny place

Review 12:The view, comfort, osean water pool

Review 13:Shower was barely tepid, but it was hot enough out that it didn't matter.

Review 14:5 minute walk from the bus station and right on the edge of the boardwalk.

Review 15:The hotel is in a nice location but a bit overpriced. The could offer bottled water in the rooms at a minimum. The front staff are pleasant but the restaurant staff are awesome and the food in the dining room excellent. Breakfast was great but staff did not replenish food when eaten.

Review 16:Internet was not available for 2 of 3 days of our stay. Furniture could be better and I was expecting more amenities for the price. Sound system or similar to play music would be great. TV was not showing any channel and wifi was a major problem even for them.

Review 17:Kind staff and customer service. Location is excellent, size of rooms is great, ocean view and restaurant was good.

Review 18:WiFi only worked in common areas and not well

Review 19:The location was nice and the rooms were large and modern with a patio. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. The ocean view and pools were pretty

Review 32:Hotel close to center of town and facility is nice and clean.

Review 33:The service staff at the front desk were awful. They were not friendly, they pretended as if they didnt speak English but they did, they wouldn´t make change for us to take a taxi, etc. Also, the wifi barely worked. The beach was COVERED in garbage.

Review 34:The view from the pool area to the see was marvellous. Also the realy long pool itselfes with light see water was a great experience. The service of the reception desk was excellent.

Review 35:WIFI did not work. The staff at the Reception seemed quite unfriendly (which was not the case for the rest of the staff)

Review 36:Good location, with extraordinary view. Nice clean room. Good food.

Review 37:Staff is not trained properly and there was a huge line for check-in.They even made a mistake in computing our bill. Food is not at international level and of uneven quality. Toilets in the room were stuck and there was a bad smell the whole week.

Review 38:The only nice feature from this hotel is the swimming pool area.

Review 39:- No hot water in the morning - Beach area actually not usable (dirty beach and water) - Restaurant area was clean and spacious but not cosy or inviting

Review 40:- Very friendly staff. - Excellent food and cocktails - Very clean, nice and comfortable pool area. - Very clean and modern rooms (including king size bed)
