Reviews for Amman Airport Hotel
Review 1:Cleanliness has been discounted because: Water outlets in showers are always blocked up so you end up showering in a foot bath; fixtures and fittings are not maintained, switches, light fittings and the like; counter staff are a bit too "suck it up', that's the deal; they are also determined to finish mobile phone calls instead of completing conversations with the customer; food is really ordinary, not bad, just ordinary; restaurant staff don't serve and don't seem to know which end is up.
Review 2:Location
Review 3:Nothing really and I advise all to stay away . I recommend going to Amman city hotels as they have much better service .
Review 4:I have sent an email explaining all the issues we have experienced . Put in simple words , this hotel is a fraud and charges a lot more that what booking.com total says , tax was charged 2 times and service was charged 2 times . Rooms are not close to what the images show staff attempts to steal from guests by not servicing unless you tip in advance . Room cleaning is very bad and sheets had dark marks on them and smelled . Complaint to management got us no where but to another crappy room . Never again . Don't do it !!!
Review 5:Terrible, unhelpful service. Tried to charge us for free meet and greet service. Poor quality and choice of food at evening buffet. Rooms are hugely overpriced.
Review 6:Location is useful for the airport (although not for anything else).
Review 7:Restaurant closed. Fast food, ugly buffet, or bar. We were shuffled around, just wanting dinner. Airport transfer 30 minutes following promised 10 minutes. Room window leaked. No water glasses. Early departure. Some people got breakfast packages. We were offered none ( breakfast included).
Review 8:I had heard many stories about how dirty the airport was. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case and everything was completely acceptable.
Review 9:The stuff is very rude , very rude , very rude The hotel is not clean It does not worth the money I highly do not recommended unless you have too
Review 10:The only thing I liked about this hotel is the location which is very close to the airport, so if you are traveling from or to airport late night / early morning this is a good solution , but of course not if you want to stay in Amman
Review 11:Internet doesn't work properly even using paswords. I didn't receive complete bill when I leave the hotel.
Review 12:More efficient wi-fi connection - free
Review 13:This is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. With my job I travel all over the world and this by far was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. To start with the front counter staff was very rude to myself and other guest at check in. This hotel has figured out a way to extract double pay for rooms. I had a reservation made by me when I found out our flight was going to be late and we would not make the connecting flight. I made this reservation on bookings. Upon arrival into Amman we were told that the airline would cover the rooms as missing the connecting flight was a RJ Airlines issue. So I informed the desk agent at the hotel of this. He stated this happens all the time and handed me a key for a room on the first floor. The room I was given was in one word "dirty" it was bad I literally would not walk barefoot in the room. On my reservation I was supposed to have a queen bed, what they call a quiet room, free internet, and free breakfast. Well the room I got was filthy, Two full size beds, Internet at a charge, and breakfast I would not recommend to anyone. Ok folks here is the worst part at check out I told the counter agent of my concerns and experience with the room. I was asked what did I expect for a transit room. I was then told that RJ Airlines has certain rooms for the transit customers and again what did I expect. I explained that I had the reservation and the lady counter agent told me I was put as a no show for that reservation and given the RJ Airlines transit room and charged a No Show fee for the reservation. So the hotel charged RJ Airlines and then charged me through Booking.com a No Show Fee. To say I was a little upset is an understatement this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. And I will be filing a payment dispute with my credit card company and Bookings.com
Review 14:Believe me I am really having to try to find something positive, I guess it would be location very close to airport
Review 15:The price is a little much. The shower doesn't have a door so water sprays all over the bathroom floor. The WiFi expires every 10 hours so you must return to the reception desk each time to receive a new login. The breakfast had little to no food available.
Review 16:The location and convenience from the airport. A bed to sleep.
Review 17:The hotel needs a lot of work on all aspects of customer service, cleanliness, furniture renovation... The price is extremely high for the value of the offered service.
Review 18:Proximity to the airport and the shuttle service are good points.
Review 19:I asked them to book a taxi to drive me to the bridge and I discovered that it charged me 25% more than the normal rate. It wasn't a taxi, it was a private car and the driver was extremely annoying. They are supposed to serve breakfast until 10:30, I went to the breakfast restaurant at 10:15, and no one was there to assist me. The heat was intolerable in the restaurant and they started taking away the food while I was still eating.
Review 20:Nothing in particular, only the location
Review 21:We had a meet and greet service which, at the airport, was promoted as being 25USdollars, payable at the hotel. A most useful service but when we went to pay at the hotel it was then promoted as 25US dollars per person. The gentleman on reception did his best to explain it away in a kindly fashion. Then a girl tried to help saying "that's what it is " in a most abrupt and rude manner. The breakfast area was deserted except for one waiter who almost completely ignored us. The only hotel in Jordan where we felt unwanted and most uncomfortable. Spoilt the last day of our holiday.
Review 22:Convenient to airport
Review 23:the price have been change as i booked the hotel with 85JD + 10% service charge & 16% Tax so total should be = 107.1 JD but the charge me 153.12 JD so diffrents of 46.02 JD
Review 24:hotel location was very good and we like it to be near to the airport form me as i was on transet
Review 25:Food provision was poor and no information provided at reception about which restaurants were open. Only open restaurant looked like a school canteen and nevertheless was charging top end prices. Room was very hot and had no opening windows, on enquiry we were told unhelpfully that the aircon had been turned off for the winter. The public areas were all at a perfectly pleasant temperature though. Fan was provided but it had a faulty lead.Apart from initial reception staff were offhand and unhelpful.
Review 26:Room well-equipped and comfortable.
Review 27:Staff did not respond to my room change request. Ordered French fries and got mashed potatoes Beds are way too hard Bar closed at 11.30 on a weekend
Review 28:Handy for the airport
Review 29:The following were poor: reception on arrival; facilities; breakfast; value for money...
Review 30:Sufficiently close to the airport to allow some sleep after a midnight flight arrival...
Review 31:we had two rooms booked, both doubles, we were initially checked into two twins. Asked for a wake up call in one of the rooms, this was 30 minutes late. The other room did not ask for anything but were woken up at 4 am with a phone call and persistent door knocking. The hotel manager did not seem to be interested in my complaint
Review 32:Location and efficient complimentary shuttle to the airport, restaurant prices reasonable
Review 33:Very dirty. Hair everywhere- shower, bed, pillow. Floor was sticky and room smelled horrible. Staff are not helpful at all. Asked receptionist to call me a taxi 30 minutes before I needed to leave, and when I cam back 15 minutes later he told me he forgot and when he tried to call one he failed, and I had to walk to the street with my bags and stop a taxi by myself, although I asked him to please send a staff member with me because I didn't feel comfortable but he ignored my request (I asked him 4 times). Very bad experience considering how expensive it is.
Review 34:The only part that I don't like is the building could use some updates. The carpet is stained a bit and the rooms need some paint.
Review 35:The staff are amazing and the food is very good and well priced. The location to the airport is perfect.
Review 36:Strange experience just the two of us at the Mosaic Restaurant for breakfast!
Review 37:Great location, appreciated the driver who took us into downtown Amman. Efficient and effective place to stay for our last night in Jordan!
Review 38:The hotel no worth to pay 200$ per night i went to super market . The value of the goods around 2 $ they took from my 20 $ whichs not fair at all i know the market in hotel at least take 5 or 8 before i come to airport hotel i went for 2 day in movambic its same price but the servic better in the end i dont recommend this hotel at all
Review 39:The breakfast
Review 40:Hotel is old and dowdy. Staff is not very polite, and if you complain about something, they stick into the "rules", including for example "I don't know why booking.com pages claim that, but this is how it is". I would advise to stay in the hotel in Amman or Dead Sea and wake up earlier to catch the plane: taxi drive in the early morning is very fluent. It's also that you need to come to the lobby 15-20 minutes before the transportation to the airport from the airport hotel (no pre booking available), and as it takes from Amman some 30 minutes and Dead Sea some 40 minutes to airport when there is not much traffic like early mornings, and the pre booked taxi is always already waiting in the arranged time. So I saved 20 minutes and spent the night in poor hotel with old fashioned and not so welcoming looking restaurants to have a meal in the evening, with unstable wi-fi, in a room that was called "deluxe", which I would say is a highly overrated term of that room.
Review 41:I made reservation from the booking .com when i went there i didnt find my reservation and the guy in the reception was not friendly, aldo the brakfast was very bad nothing to eat, finally the hoter is clean except the carpet of the rooms are dirty
Review 42:Distance between the hotel and airport
Review 43:Shuttle delays.Staff should try to say true when the shuttle delays. There was a risk of missing flights because of 5 minutes shuttle is comming while it took 1 hour to be back at the Hotel.
Review 44:Calm in the hotel.
Review 45:Seems to have gone downhill since we last stayed. Overpriced for what it is - if it wasn't close to the airport it would be very poor all round.
Review 46:Very close to the airport.
Review 47:- very poor pool area. - the sports are not cleaned properly. - the staff at the reception is not quick - shuttle from and to airport is always late both ways. Staff should not make committments if the bus will be late. Instead they should say there will be a delay so i can arrange transport by other means. - breakfast was poor and staff at this restaurant was not friendly and helpful.
Review 48:- very close to the airport.
Review 49:Staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, it felt that no one knew of what needs to get done, almost unbelievable amount of rules and restrictions, for example we were not allowed to order food from outside, staff were very incompetent and rude, room was not very clean and they messed up the room choice....it seems that Rey really could not care less if they get repeat business...I am still waiting for someone to contact me regarding their poor service..
Review 50:Location was convenient
Review 51:The WiFi signal was very weak the entire three day stay. It stayed at around 2 bars even after moving to a different room.
Review 52:The location was very close to the airport.
Review 53:supposedly free bus ride is not that straight forward. Driver was complaining why should i ride the bus, taxis did not want to take me as it is low fare, had to wait over 20 mins for bus to agree and take me.
Review 54:close to airport
Review 55:Wi-fi was only 10 hours - not much point when staying 24 hours! No choice for dinner - only Tulip where the buffet was awful; chicken dry, beef tough, and food barely warm; only pop or water. Certainly not international food as they claim, and served in a depressing and unpleasant room. Breakfast in a nicer restaurant, food marginally better. Service non-existent - no smiles: not even a greeting. No staff really cares about customer's existence. Poor English - we had real problems conversing and making ourselves understood. Toilet condition was poor. Bring your own food.
Review 56:Not a lot. The only good thing is the location next to the airport, with a shuttle bus. The only person who helped us was the Concierge (though his English was very limited).
Review 57:It was very expensive for only one night. On their homepage the price said 85JD but when I paid it was suddenly 108 JD, tax wasn't incl. online. But that wasn't clear on their website
Review 58:Great hotel location if arrive late and are waiting for transfer. Nice room!
Review 59:Dance floor with pumping base 50mtrs from window of 5th floor room going till past 2am Good use for noise canceling headsets usually for the plane
Review 60:Staff were brilliant, sure they would have moved me if I had needed to complain
Review 61:No free shuttle service - no one answered telephone call to pick-up thus obligated to take taxi at our expense At 0930 80% of breakfast dishes were empty and no one replenished the dishes
Review 62:The staff were not nice especially the girl at the reception, she was rude.
Review 63:Nothing special about this hotel except that it is very close to the airport.
Review 64:- simple furniture - wrong waste pipe of basin - slow internet and bad connection - expensive
Review 65:- good for accommodation near of airport - shuttle bus
Review 66:Shower didn't have a full glass door or shower curtain which was odd. Water got out easily. It looked incomplete which makes me wonder if other rooms were like this or just ours. We were just staying there for a few hours so it wasn't worth asking and waiting to switch rooms.
Review 67:They had an early morning breakfast to accommodate really early schedule
Review 68:They are charging meet and greet which didn't happen in the past. Very noisy, they knocked on my door at 4AM since they though it is empty and wanted to clean it. Very poor breakfast
Review 69:Location is good. Only hotel close to airport
Review 70:Wifi did not work payment with credit card out of order free shuttle only if you book from home Page otherwise € 22,50!
Review 71:Close to airport nice breakfast
Review 72:The evening that we arrived, the staff immediately wanted that we did pay 150 JD while the total cost for our stay should be 119 JD. After discussion they reduced but we still paid 5 JD too much. Afterwards I returned to the desk and did get the 5 JD back after complaining again.
Review 73:Breakfast !
Review 74:We had someone walk into our room in the middle of the night. Also breakfast wasn't great. Overall it is slightly overpriced. We only stayed because we needed to drive south early the next morning and landed at midnight.
Review 75:It was convenient.
Review 76:1) Arrogant female supervisor - disallowed my friend to visit me in my room. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. 2) Dirty bathroom. I saw an ant on the untouched bathrobe. 3) Wifi connection rarely worked on Iphone 6. Hotel Wifi passwords kept expiring 4) Hotel security people and gatemen were very nosy.
Review 77:1) Very close to airport 2) Excellent Breakfast 3) Allowed unmarried couple to be together in a room without marriage certificate if the rate for double room was paid
Review 78:Room service was very bad as it took them more than forty minutes to bring the food which was very bad (almost the worst food I ever tested in Amman) and caused a terrible stomach problems the second day. It was also very expensive. The hotel also has no facility to store luggages, which is very important for transit travelers.
Review 79:The room was clean and newly furnished.
Review 80:WiFi took an hour to connect properly Room was too warm and could not turn the AC down
Review 81:Friendly & helpful staff Breakfast is excellent Very convenient for airport
Review 82:The management don't do their job - waiters have little knowledge of what good service should be - all clear signs that they are not well trained! It's supposed to be a four star hotel. The service was terrible! I can fry an egg better. The Jordanian people are very friendly and helpful - it felt as if the hotel was in another country!
Review 83:The place is clean, comfortable and especially the bed was excellent. The cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 84:All Day Dining is like a canteen.
Review 85:Close to the terminal but no aircraft noise Pleasant modern decor Bit pricey, but it is an airport hotel Excellent shuttle bus, virtually on demand
Review 86:Airconditioning didnt work and despite complaining three times it was not resolved so we were roasting in 27C degrees with windows that would not open. The staff spoke very little English. we were not offered any apology or discount for lack of AC when we checked out. WIFI was very patchy and mostly we were unable to log onto the Internet. The shuttle bus to the airport had only one headlight working and no functioning seatbelts.
Review 87:convenient for early flight out. The lady serving in the downstairs cafe was very accommodating.
Review 88:The hotel does not have a cooling ac system, and no window, I left the room door open all night which is stupid, so I couldn't sleep because it was so hot. I actually got out of bed at 4am and went to the lobby and asked for a fan at the least and they said they only had one fan in the hotel and they are using it. So for me everything was okay except the heat and for that reason I will not stay in this hotel again
Review 89:The internet connection was not stable. There were no TV sport channels such as beinsport channels.
Review 90:The environment is verg good for me. The room is comfortable.
Review 91:I requested an early check-in, which I was given. But wasn't informed that I would be charged an additional night. I wouldn't have checked in early had the staff advised me it would cost an additional night...not worth the early check-in. I would have appreciated being advised of additional charge, so I could have made a choice.
Review 92:Location is excellent for stopover at Amman airport
Review 93:I forgot a coat in the closet. I was absolutely certain about it. I asked about it as soon as I arrived to the next hotel but they never found it... The sheets in bed had itching little balls. They are not cotton.
Review 94:It´s very close to the airport.
Review 95:The meet and greet service is not for free unless you book directly with Amman airport Hotel.
Review 96:The room is very clean and the bed is huge and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Free WiFi.
Review 97:Only 1 cup in room to make a hot drink. Asked at restaurant, told to ask at reception, who advised we phone housekeeping. Housekeeping English poor but 2 additional cups arrived quickly. Why did reception not call housekeeping. Booked transport before arrival, hotel had its markup. Not recorded anywhere. Found email confirmation, passed to in house tour operator. Driver arrived late and on arrival at next hotel demanded cash payment. We had passed many ARMS during the day. No paperwork so we demanded a fax or mail to next hotel before being driven to ATM. Cancelled our stay at hotel at end of our trip.
Review 98:Excellent breakfast. Location close to airport.
Review 99:Roma overheated- 26C, you can't open the window or adjust. Rooms FILTHY- carpets badly stained and not vacuumed- nail clippings and tags from last guests still on floor. Too overpriced. NEVERagain will I stay there. I'd prefer to sleep on the floor of the airport.
Review 100:Free wifi and 2 mins drive from airport, staff lovely.
Review 101:Took 40 mins to book in at reception. Staff in the restaurant didn't know the menu as we're not normally working in the the restaurant.. Only had 3 menus although we were the only people in the restaurant at the time..
Review 102:Close location..
Review 103:Was very pleasantly surprised - the facilities are great, staff are pleasant. Shuttle to the airport was a bit confusing and unorganized, but got to the airport on time!
Review 104:Noice around Inside and outside the hotel. No possibilities of using the pool and bad experience in the fitnesshall. Frontdesk and receptiondesk without kindness.
Review 105:The room.
Review 106:First of all I've stayed here several times and this time was the worst. I hate to be pickey but there are a few things this hotel needs to improve on and it could be a much better experience. First the room was very warm, I turned on the A/C and it just got hotter and hotter. I called the front desk and told them the air conditioning was not working they told me to turn it off. I requested some one to come check they told me they were coming but no one ever came. The room has no working window and no vent so I slept with the room at 28 C . Not very comfortable. The room comes with a portable scale, it doesn't work. The drawers on the bedside table do not stay closed so when you get out of the bed be careful you will trip. The shower is ok but the drain does not take the water away so be careful, it will fill up to your ankles and just feels nasty. I complained on my way out but staff seemed to jump to the conclusion that I didnt want to pay. They also admitted that that particular room did not have A/C because it was cold outside? Really? This is the middle east. Shouldn't there be a/c in every room? I will probably not stay here again.
Review 107:Close to airport, nice gift shop
Review 108:When booking the room I choose a "Super Deluxe Room" which should give me access to the executive lounge...When asking for lounge location they looking at me as I was an idiot and told me that there is no lounge at this hotel! So if staying at this hotel do not pay any extra for lounge access!
Review 109:wifi in the room was weak and most of the time didnt work. the gym was unattended and messy (weights on the floor and in disarray). the pool was empty and full of dirt. Overall not ideal for a business traveller at all and overall very expensive for what you receive.
Review 110:ease of check in and friendly reception
Review 111:The rooms need update in maintenance, particularly the bathrooms and the air conditioning systems.
Review 112:Proximity to airport and excellent airport meet and greet system. Shuttle to airport was ideal. The hotel was spacious, staff friendly.
Review 113:Room too hot and no AC choice in winter Turned the heating on but the room temperature stayed at 24 c The AC does not work and the windows cannot be open. Never stayed in a hotel like this before. Also they did not allow the food that I have to get into the hotel. Asked for extra towel but never get it.
Review 114:The one of the bed pillows had a fresh coffee stain and the coffee cup and tray was used. The cleanliness was not good. Also, it was very busy so there were men sleeping on the lobby couches on my floor. I stayed for 5 hours in a dirty room and had to fly out before breakfast and was charged full price.
Review 115:It was very close to airport with its own shuttle.
Review 116:Hotel was not able to deliver what I booked which is two interconnected rooms , and his solution was to give me a suite and pay more money for it.
Review 117:Close to the airport, good for transit.
Review 118:With no competition, the hotel doesn't need to try very hard to get custom. That's reflected in the overall service you receive. Though the hospitality staff were very friendly. More than reception staff.
Review 119:Very expensive, and the room which was given to us was interconnected, there is a door in side the room where the neighbor was watching the TV with very loud voice of the TV for which made our stay not comfortable at all. Simply, the hotel reception did not provide us the convenient room as it should be.
Review 120:The only good think which I can say about this hotel since I only had an overnight in Amman, is that the location which is close to the airport.
Review 121:-Airport shuttle delay going TO the airport in the morning made us and many other guests nervous about getting to our flights on time.
Review 122:-Close to airport -AIrport pick up at no extra charge -VIP treatment with a fruit basket in the room
Review 123:Worst Wi-Fi I ever had. Connects ok, but each minute login again putting long username and password for Smartphone.
Review 124:Good location. Wi-Fi for PC is good.
Review 125:This hotel was well located close to the airport with free shuttle bus. We had a nice evening meal at a reasonable price. The room was nicely fitted out, the bed comfortable and the shower hot and lots of water pressure. All in all a good airport hotel
Review 126:We arrived at 6 am and they assigned to us a room where in the morning at 8 am there were people working at the room closed!! So I slept just 2 hours...and the water in the shower was impossible to manage, very hot or very cold! I can't have a shower...and I payed too much for that
Review 127:Good position closed to the airport
Review 128:Semi blocked bathroom sink. AC was uncomfortably warm, with no instructions given at check in that just turning it off would be an option. Shower stall open which allows water to wet the whole bathroom.
Review 129:Location. Excellent breakfast buffet. Professional staff. Good bathroom amenities, and coffee tea things.
Review 130:On arrival the reception manager was brusque, even though there was no-one else waiting, and did not explain how the hotel operated. (I found it difficult to believe that the courtesy bus would be available 10 minutes after I checked-out. No other airport hotel I have stayed at has this sort of service, so I was slightly concerned that there was a misunderstanding.) The 'take-away' breakfast provided in lieu of the proper breakfast service which did not start until 06:00 (30 minutes later than I was told I had to leave to go to the airport ) consisted of left-over pastries, a small orange, an apple, and a bottle of water. The swimming pool was open-air and closed. The significant taxes (>20%) were omitted from the principal quote for the room.
Review 131:Courtesy transport to the airport was available at short notice. Room fine, with complimentary tea and coffee.
Review 132:Restaurant service was slow and the staff seemed inexperienced and kept getting confused. Didn't know the price of the buffet; told us the price of a bottle of wine was the price for a glass! They seemed to be trying but didn't seem well trained.
Review 133:Very convenient to the airport. Very comfortable and everything you need.
Review 134:the hotel isn't good value for money. The staff was quite OK for the room service and the breakfast restaurant, but certainly not at the reception upon arrival. The WIFI works but disconnects frequently. The TV channels are very limited if one doesn't speak Arabic.
Review 135:The location -- if you don't want to leave the airport and have an early flight to catch.
Review 136:Food left a lot to be desired. The steak dinner was tasteless and breakfast little better. Omelette was awful.
Review 137:Modern hotel which we picked for convenience for early morning flight out of Jordan. Good facilities.
Review 138:Staff a little stand-offish. Breakfast had quite broad selection but everything was covered in cling film wrap, which was slightly off-putting.
Review 139:Proximity to airport. Comfy bed. Toweling robe in bathroom. Complimentary toiletries.
