Review 2：Wonderful small hotel with a large room, large bedroom, and comfortable bed. The service is excellent and the owner did a few pieces of laundry for me for a minimal fee. The service here reminds me of staying at the Ritz Carlton. I always stay here when I am in Tongeren.

Review 3：This hotel has been sympathetically restored to an extremely high standard, with every care taken to ensure a comfortable stay for the guests; whilst not losing the experience of a bygone age,with detailed decor and features. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble; and I am planning to stay here again.

Review 8：To reach the room i had to go outside (in the rain). very dark room , but I was lucky, I saw much worse rooms in this hotel . After 11 a.m there is no staff to assist you. Breakfast is very expensive , wifi mostly not working. No parking in the area, but very expensive parking meters on the main street . Tongeren Tourist office told me ( by chance ) after 2 days, that there is a free parking area . The hotel could have told me . But how ? There is no staff!

Review 9：I satyed at belo galico just across the road and wanted to stay there and cancel my booking ( more than 1 day before arival day ). This hotel warned me that they would charge me nevertheless. At least they warned me, which is the best thing that happende in this hotel

Review 10：I do not understand where this place gets it high rating . No staff except a cleaning lady and in the morning only (!) somebody to do the check out and cash the money. For the rest , go and find a waiter in the adjoining restaurant. One guy ( skinny, red hair with beard ) is very friendly, for the others it is all too much . Understandably because they have a busy restaurant + bar to look after. To get to the room you have to clime steep metal outside steps , the room view on garbage on the next terrace or onto a persistent running AC unit. Then again, who cares about the view, as the room has no windows. When paying we were shocked how many extra fees and taxes were added. Our son in Bello Galica paid just the amount mentioned at booking.com and not 30% more.

Review 12：The only breakfast you can have is the 15 euro, which is too much food for me to have. Also would of liked to have lotion in the room. But the hotels in Brussels didn't have lotion either, maybe not standard in Europe. You can't make tea in the room, only coffee.

Review 13：The room looks just like the picture, out of a magazine. It is absolutely beautiful. The staff were helpful, took care of booking my taxi for me in the morning, got breakfast ready earlier than their normal hours, and got me an iron for my clothes.

Review 14：a little challenging to find the hotel, because of one way streets and pedestrian streets. Recommend putting in the intersection of Maastrichterstraat and Kloosterstraat in your gps.

Review 18：There was no door on the bathroom. There was a very bright blue light on the mini fridge that lit up the room at night. I had to stand on the bed to open and close velux window, bed was quite bouncy so not very stable, needs a proper pole to open and close, not something tall people would worry about. I definitely did not like the fact that there was no door on the bathroom, never occurred to me when booking that you should request a bathroom with a door. The steps up to room 4 are metal grid like steps that are okay except if wearing heels.

Review 19：The location, in centre of town, the decoration. The shower was fantastic, the bed was comfortable. Nice restaurant next door where you went for breakfast, good choice for breakfast. Coffee making facility in room.

Review 24：The staircase was a bit tight and twisty, I would not recommend to older people or those with mobility problems as there is no elevator. The rooms look great but at the expense of functionality. There were two cupboards with shelves but no hangers! I was there for a week so I had issues hanging all my shirts and trousers. Nothing to do with the hotel but the parking in the area is very difficult.

Review 50：Great little boutique hotel with huge rooms (and a surprise extra bed with an additional TV)! Excellent service as well. While breakfast wasn't included in our stay, they also own a restaurant which is right there and offer several options, at fair prices for breakfast. A side note: parking is not a problem in Tongeren and there are plenty of free spots including a huge lot on Kastenjewal which is a short walk to the hotel.

Review 72：This is a fabulous boutique hotel. Laurence, one of the owners, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room...love the personal touch! The hotel is new, but in an older building, so you have the modern comforts (new fixtures/decor) with the original stairs and wood flooring. Very lovely. It is clear that care was taken in redesigning the rooms. We had Room 7 on the top floor with an extra bed in a separate room and a huge bathroom. There is even a luggage elevator to bring the bags up! Overall clean, comfortable and worth the trip!

The old building has been renovated with great taste and care maintaining many of the original features. Yet, the hotel offers all the comforts you could wish for - superbly comfortable beds, mini-bar, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, splendid spacious bathrooms. The location could not be better as the hotel is situated right in the heart of the town, next door to the town's Cathedral. Yet, it is very calm with its own little courtyard, and we truly enjoyed the calm and intimate atmosphere. And such a warm welcome! We felt at home the minute we arrived. The nice chats we had with the owner made our stay even more special for us. Breakfast was amazing, and the adjoining Brasserie Bazilek has delicious food. We ended up eating there twice (the desserts are just heavenly!). All in all, superb room, superb location, wonderful breakfast and superb hospitality. Will be going back for sure...
