Review 9：My sister and I had an amazing stay at Quinta do Vau. The owners kindly upgraded us to a triple room facing the castle, and the views must be the best in Mertola. Everything was very clean and modern and so peaceful. The breakfast was really delicious and plentiful using regional products and fresh produce. We did not have a car but did not mind the walk into town and back.

The views of Mertola are fabulous ( ask for room with castle view ) but rooms at other side look out onto river and pool and have sun all day so also great. Very comfortable beds, fabulous bathroom and the whole place spotlessly clean. Loved it !
Review 12：Absolutely beautiful setting overlooking the river. The whole place is magical and the view from the pool was amazing. The staff was very nice, rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Hopefully we´ll have the chance to come again one day.

Review 15：The location is excellent ! the best view of Mertola with no doubt. On one side you can see the whole city, on the other side the Guadiana, the pool is actually giving you the impression you are having a bath in the river. The hotel is very clean, the decoration absolutely gorgeous, they managed to combine modern style with a touch of "old Portuguese quinta". Breakfast was a delight, with local fresh products. The staff is really nice, and always available.

Wish it had been warm enough to breakfast on the patio, that would be lovely. Very nice homemade breakfast, very good value for the money and the room was amazing value, very good deal.

Review 41：The location of this property is breathtaking, absolutely stunning. The quality of furnishings is 5 star, gorgeous bedrooms and fantastic power showers. Spotlessly clean throughout, a huge lounge to relax in, with free coffee and tea on tap, oh yes and a great swimming pool. Melia is a top host and provided us with a superb, tasty and yummy breakfast. This is a very special place to stay and is thoroughly recommended.

Review 47：The fabulous situation in the Guadiana river bend overlooking the old town of Mertola and the Castle on top of it on the other side, and wild hills on the other side, is more than you can imagine before hand. The beautifully renovated very modern house, gardens around, swimming pool and extremely friedly personnel would allow even a longer stay.
