Reviews for Paracas Sunset Hotel
Review 1:This hotel offers very basic accommodation and the rooms that accommodate 4 people are far too small and feel more like a prison cell. The cost is far too high for what is provided.
Review 2:Breakfast was adequate but basic. White bread, jam, butter, fruit juice, eggs and coffe. Breakfast staff were prompt and polite. The grounds around the pool are well kept.
Review 3:The breakfast was very very poor. The triple room is small and very basic. t . The price is very high in proportion with what we got. We came from a very nice hotel in Ica where we payed the same price and where we got a much higher level of accommodation. If we knew we should have stay in Ica, took the bus in the morning and return back at the end of the day !!!!
Review 4:They gave us the possibility to take a shower after our a AVT in the natural park .
Review 5:Being awakened at 6 : 30 am to be requested to pay the room because the receptionist will not be here in the morning
Review 6:The pool, the closeness to the port and the Ballestas islands
Review 7:We wanted to spend the afternoon at the pool reading and relaxing. The inconsiderate young man at the bar had the music turned on so loud that we couldn't read, and when I asked h to turn it down he did for 5 minutes, then turned it up again. (I know, I sound like a cranky old guy, but we were the only guests at the pool. Are they running the hotel for the comfort of their guests or for the staff to hang out and listen to rap music?) There's not much shade around the pool but otherwise it was clean and well maintained, as we're the rooms.
Review 8:This is a comfortable hotel with a nice well-kept pool. It's not right on the water but the malecon is only a 2 minute walk away. It's not cheap and value for money is only so-so. For us it was a bit of a splurge.
Review 9:Staff could not answer any questions about whether there was an airport shuttle service in their hotel. They did not know which room number we had. When we arrived we had to pay in advance. We paid for four nights but we got a pay check that said we paid only for three nights. Bottom line is that we got the impression that the staff were only interested in our money! There is little knowledge about providing good service! For example when we were alone at the pool, the staff kept playing their own music loudly, while requesting several times to turn the volume down. That was really annoying. Very insensitive people! We also had a peeping Tom looking inside our bathroom!! We were pretty sure it was a staff member!
Review 10:Location and swimming pool
Review 11:none
Review 12:the grill and bar is rented out to 2 guys. the cook was great and also the bartender. They were the only one's that spoke English. the food was outstanding
Review 13:You have to go to the reception across the street by the Oltursa bus station but there is no sign telling you this. There is a poolside bar, but no one manages it so you have to go elsewhere for a cold drink.
Review 14:Great beds, very clean rooms and outside areas. Pool was very clean (done every morning) with lots of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas to enjoy some fun in the sun! Wonderful shower, endless hot water, lots of pressure. Breakfast was very nice, coffee, bread, real butter, jam, banana and fresh hot eggs to order! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, although only the owner speaks some English. A very hardworking family runs this business and they make your stay well worth your money of S/. 145 a night for a double room. Rm. # 309, overlooking the pool, and it was great!. I've stayed in several places in Paracas, and this place has been the cleanest and best value for money, especially with the pool! Will absolutely stay here again!
Review 15:If you're expecting beachfront like the advert says you're going to be disappointed. One building one block from the sea, the main one two blocks. Some upstairs room may have a sea view but ours didn't.
Review 16:Clean, nice pool area, breakfast was ok but if you want eggs, ask for them.
Review 17:Reception had no english AT ALL..the lads cleaning and doing breakfast nearly had more. I wouldnt complain bout that normally but she used just ignore us when we standing in reception clearly wanting something...thus our reserve tour got messed up or well she pretty much didn't book us any. Otherwise place was great!!
Review 18:Pool was great for few days to relax at end of our trip..breakfast was good. Rooms were spotless!!
Review 19:We felt the doors/ simple lock was not very secure. Carried valuables with us the whole visit.
Review 20:Staff was friendly. room decent for the price. Breakfast, basic but fresh/adequate (eggs, juice, coffee and rolls).
Review 21:Staff were very helpful lovely breakfast close to everything lovely room and deck with views of the beach and water ways
Review 22:Hotel is in the center of Paracas. Walking distance to port and tours.
Review 23:Paracas was my favorite place to visit in Peru. The staff helped us with everything we needed to enjoy the area.
Review 24:You can buy all tickets to attractions at the hotel and it's location to the boardwalk and boat dock is excellent.

Review 33:我们
Review 34:The staff assisted with luggage. And when I lost my luggage keys a young man assisted with opening my bag which I was very appreciative.
Review 35:They only have 1 80's soft rock CD that the play in the pool area. The whole building is poorly and cheaply. You can hear the very annoying taxis beeping their horns to get tourists attractions very early in the morning. However, I think you would hear that no matter where you are in a Paracas. Ok place, staff are nice, breakfast ok, rooms very basic, wouldn't go back.
Review 36:We had a ok stay at this place. However, it doesn't look anything like the photos. It looks pretty upmarket in the pictures. It's all very basic and unfinished. We paid £90 for 3nights and you definitely get what you pay for.
Review 37:The room was a sweat box so we had to keep the windows open at all times. The problem with that was that the lounge area was right outside our room and one night a family decided to have a giant fiesta right outside our room, preventing us from sleeping. It was no use asking the owner to do something about it because he didn't care. We were also eaten alive by mosquitoes during the night since we had to leave the windows open because the room was so hot.
Review 38:Thank god this place had a good pool because otherwise I wouldn't have many good things to say. I suppose the location is good since you are close to the boats going to the Isla Ballestas.
Review 39:no fruit for breakfast
Review 40:a very nice place. better to stay in the annex on the other side of the road from the reception with a nice swimming pool and garden. quiet rooms. very clean (staff constantly cleans). Good advice for activities in Paracas.
Review 41:There was no hot waterfacet available in the waterbasin.
Review 42:Locatie was very near the beach and restaurants. Our room was located on the top floor near the breakfast'room'. Also there was still water available for a fair price. The hot water shower was also good.
Review 43:Nothing comes to mind.
Review 44:Daniel was always there to help with anything we needed. The rooms were rather new and the whole property very clean. Excellent bed.
Review 45:Price of the hôtel Price of the tour in the parracas peninsula: if you do the tour with them, you pay twice the normal price. So we went to a travel agency just beside to get normal price.
Review 46:Localisation
Review 47:Needs some updating and a bit better cleaning, our bedspread was dirty. There's a rooster around 4 am.
Review 48:Hotel was close to the pier. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good.Price was reasonable.
Review 49:The noise and firecrackers at night. They did not respond to my emailsrequesting transfer which was to be included but was not.
Review 50:The location was good
Review 51:I didn't quite like it that the WIFI signal was weak in the room. Hence, my friend and I had to surt outside the room.
Review 52:I liked it that the staff were friendly and helpful. I also liked it that they had a few areas for people to sit and read or surf the net. And breakfast was good.
Review 53:Noice from outside was really loud, cocks in the roof started 3 in the morning, dog pack fighting and cars honking. English skills of the staff were quite poor.
Review 54:Helpfull staff Clean hostel and clean room.
Review 55:still in construction, WiFi iffy.
Review 56:Location, fair price, friendly staff, super pool, quality guess and knowledge of the area.
