Reviews for De Maasparel

Review 1:Our breakfast was included, and was standard and fresh, but if you had to pay € 14.50 for it I think you would not find it value for money.

Review 2:Location, facilities, restaurant/food

Review 3:The staff was not as friendly as one would like. When we arrived, although there was 2 in reception, they didn't seem to care about keeping us waiting.

Review 4:The accommodation The food Clean

Review 5:We got a friendly welcome from the staff and everyone we talked to speaks English very well. The room was spacious and clean, and the location of the hotel was perfect for a walk around the town and to visit Kasteeltuinen (the castle gardens, which we highly recommend). The town is conveniently close to the highway, yet far enough to be quiet. The sunset over the river was truly magnificent.

Review 6:We booked a room with terrace.and paid extra,we got the. room it was in an annex over a bar????.when i complained we got a room in hotel,no terrace, but still charged for terrace???.The breakfast,we had greacy bacon and dried egg, terrible,we wont go again.Because we complained about room, when eating dinner, getting service was poor in view of the service given to ithers.

Review 7:Locationwe booked

Review 8:- breakfast choices were limited. No fruit or vegetables, which I usually eat. Just bread and yoghurt. It would make a huge difference to just slice up some tomatoes and cucumber and add some fruit, like apples or bananas. - thin walls, lots of noise

Review 9:- nice comfortabele bed. Slept very well. - bathroom was huge and very clean.

Review 10:Front room very noisy.

Review 11:Clean rooms, interior rooms not too modern but bathroom is up to date. Good overnight location for Roses Festival in Lottum. Private parking next to hotel.

Review 12:staff not over friendly there was nothing left in hot breakfast tray in morning. no staff were available. eventually had some hot coffee and a lot of bread. let down by brusque staff

Review 13:the outside seating area free large car park location

Review 14:Expensive breakfast with a fixed price even for small children.

Review 15:Calm place at the heart of Arcen.

Review 16:Great location, enough parking, friendly staffs

Review 17:Excellent location, very nice little town

Review 18:Bathroom fan in room 3 exceptionally noisy.

Review 19:Good location. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff.

Review 20:location next to main square and just off the bike path

Review 21:Modern good size room , with excellent facilities .Good wifi connection and secure private parking ,set in delightful location .

Review 22:cold room ar arriwal

Review 23:Athmosphere of the hotel is so cosy! Parking is free, wi fi works, price/money is very good.

Review 24:A wonderful hotel in a great location.

Review 25:it was very difficult to read in the hotel room. All the lamps provided a "romantic atmosphere", however, poor to read.

Review 26:Despite having contacted the hotel at the time of booking to say we would be arriving late, and depsite receiving an e-mail back from them to say this was fine as long as it wasn't after 23:00, we arrived at 22:15 to find the hotel & reception locked up, and no one was answering the phone. After half an hour of standing out on the street we found out from other guests that a room had been left unlocked for us, but we had no information from the hotel to tell us this. When this was raised with the owner the following morning, she did not apologise and simply said the hotel is shut after 21:30. Highly unsatisfactory. Additionally, although the rooms were in a lovely setting, we were in a garden room, which faced on to the outdoor seating areas, and and which were very noisy until ~11pm at the weekend.

Review 27:Lovely setting in a very pretty village.

Review 28:No elevator.

Review 29:Good hotel if you have car with you and need to spend a night before flying to or from Weeze airport. It takes approx 30 minutes by car to airport. Nice small village with some restaurants (working until 22:00). We have got large family room upstairs. Breakfast was excellent. Recommended.

Review 30:nothing really

Review 31:Second stay at the hotel and will book to stay again. Great staff, good parking, good breakfast and a nice little town although a little too quiet but a lovely walk aside the river.

Review 32:Not child friendly.wifi works only at 1 floor. Price what we got from booking.com is not the same as we finally paid.

Review 33:Suitable for older couples. In restaurant available local very delicious beer Hertog Jan.

Review 34:nothing..

Review 35:After a nightmare day and journey where my wallet was stolen i arrived at the hotel, the girl on reception was so helpful to me even offering me a free dinner as i had no cards or money. A good night`s sleep later i found the hotel to be clean and breakfast to be good. parking is pretty much private at the back of the hotel. It`s also situated in a nice little town which i would love to have had more time to see.. I will book to stay again on my return trip.

Review 36:unhelpfull manager who informed us us the restaurant was fully booked and told us there were no nice places to eat locally . fortunately we found the hotel next door and had an excellent meal with equally good service

Review 37:large room with nice view

Review 38:Asked to move to a different table on two separate occasions after sitting down for breakfast. Reason: table was going to be used for lunch although the table was completely clear of cutlery etc. Adjacent tables were being used, which made it difficult to quantify the reason. Younger staff very polite. Perhaps hotel not suitable for young children.

Review 39:Quiet location with nice surroundings.

Review 40:we were not informed of the Summer Town fair which meant we could not access the car park at the hotel till after 10pm

Review 41:We had a spacious and quiet room very comfortable, staff very helpful and welcoming. Easy to find from motorway and far enough not to worry about motorway noise.

Review 42:I was charged an additional 6% VAT which had to be included in additon to the local 2.5E per person tax which was written not included.

Review 43:Very nice botiqe hotel wth small count of rooms , the room is well equiped as advertized , high quality breakfest. Free in room WiFi. The hotel is located in the center of an amazing small town with restaurants bakery and small shops, you can even find a beer factory in town I reccomend very warm, to stay in this hotel.

Review 44:If you are looking for city experience, I do not think this would make it for you.

Review 45:A gem, when it comes to the staff, ambience, and design. Large and airy room (We had a garden room). Great breakfast, fast wifi, and a wonderful restaurant to dine in. All in a tiny village, no more than 400x200 meter area (At least the main part of it), which surprisingly includes everything that you may need.

Review 46:in the centre of Arcen with own free parking place. 3.2km driving from Thermaal Bad, very easy to reach. A great baker from 1 minute's walking distance.

Review 47:The staff - welcoming, friendly, helpful. The hotel is very comfortable and in a pretty location. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and had good facilities.

Review 48:I've chosen room at ground floor. But I found it is not safe to open the window to have fresh air as there is no window grilles. There is heater but no fan or air-conditioner. It's ok in autumn.

Review 49:nice staff. clean and confortable room. very large washroom. I've been there for the floriade. there is bus station near the hotel and easy to go to Venlo train station. But you should check clear the detail of bus.

Review 50:Purpose of stay was a visit to the Floriade 2012, and the location ofthis hotel was perfect, as it is also close to Weeze airport. Friendlyatmosphere, nice room, good service and very nice restaurant options.

Review 51:Limited wine list - only one white - oaked Chardonay! & only 1 red - both by the glass or carafe - no other choice by the glass. Everybody in Holland apparently drinks beer only.

Review 52:Staff very supportive & helpful. Free wifi

Review 53:No elevator. Breakfast plates appeared to have been placed on tables overnight and were slightly dusty. I had to clean them before we could eat.

Review 54:The location is excellent, on the edge of the historic village, close to main attractions, the River and the main cycle paths.

Review 55:Don't accept AMEX.

Review 56:Excellent by all means...

Review 57:Roadside rooms are a bit noisy

Review 58:Beautiful hotel near the river maas. Rooms are good, lots of private parkingspace. Friendly people, good breakfast.

Review 59:100% for everything!!!

Review 60:Weak wi-fi

Review 61:Good breakfast

Review 62:Very friendly staff, excellent facilities, terrific breakfast.

Review 63:A very clean, comfortable and pleasant hotel. Interesting little town with own castle.

Review 64:Pay extra for childrens drink (hot chocolate) for breakfast.

Review 65:Quality of Food

Review 66:Traffic outside window

Review 67:Stores closed early in the town, not much else to do in the evening.

Review 68:Good location in the town. Rooms clean and breakfast was great.

Review 69:Nice,clean and tidy. Good food, good location.

Review 70:Nice staff, electric kettle in the room is a very good idea.
