Reviews for Hotel Edit Yokohama

Review 1:Hotel room view could have been better; I opened up my curtains to be greeted with a view of other rooms rather than the river or the big Ferris wheel. Was a last minute booking to be fair, and beggars can't be choosers I suppose!

Review 2:I loved the awesome music in the lobby, which my Shazam IDed as an Ino Hidefumi album. Recognised a few Nujabes covers and had to look it up. The hotel itself is in very close proximity to the World Porter mall, and a range of other attractions around the Red-brick Warehouse. Loved the modern styling of the hotel; gave off a chic, yet familiar vibe without the overdone pretentious omotenashi so many Tokyo hotels seem so pompously proud of. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking to stop in this area.

Review 3:I couldn't figure out how to get there with very limited wifi at the train station. It is very hard to find English maps.

Review 4:There was a wedding party there the one night I stayed, but I never experienced loud party noises. The hotel is conveniently close to Sakuragicho train station. The shower toiletries were very nice.

Review 5:There's no frozen part in the fridge. The room isn't as clean as I thought. The bottom part of the hangers are not properly made, it gave me a shock when it dropped out.

Review 6:The hotel design is good and not as far from the station as the map showed.

Review 7:I had heard that the hotel had a strange smell but I found the light scent very pleasant. Also I often have allergies to scents but I was fine here! The staff were very nice and the facilities were immaculate and absolutely beautiful. The view by the water was also great. The room was a little bit small by Canadian standards but about normal for Japan. Overall it was a great stay, and amazing for the price.

Review 8:Little bit small size of hotel.

Review 9:I have been 1 month ago for holiday. It was small but clean and organization. So I think it was not too bad, little bit cheap but It was OK. If you are young ages or you want to travel with alone, it will be ok. And there are public transportation, it was very nice! also there are lot of shooping mall, it was awesome.

Review 10:Check out time is 10am which usually for most hotel is around 12pm

Review 11:It's value for money and it's close to a few attraction in Yokohama. The room was of a good size and the breakfast was good too.

Review 12:the noise level of a night in the corridors. these seem poorly insulated against sound. tour groups moving between rooms or interacting outside, even when many, many rooms away were very loud and disturbing.

Review 13:the location. it is very close to a jr station and situated in the heart of the downtown waterfront redevelopment area, where all the local action is. most city sights can be easily walked to from here.

Review 14:The only thing to criticize is the room size was smaller than I expected but it was acceptable

Review 15:Location The attitude of the staffs Ummmm....just everything

Review 16:The hotel is not far from the rail so you will hear the train passing.

Review 17:Friendly staff. Well designed hotel with good atmosphere. Major tourist attractions in walking distance.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:We loved hotel edit! Luxury for our budget. Great location, great staff, largest room we've stayed in in Japan and one of the cheapest too. Breakfast was also great - recommend getting it!

Review 20:Some noise from train line nearby could be heard in our room.

Review 21:Easy and convenient location for Yokohama station and most tourist sights just a few stops on the Minatomirai subway line. Very comfortable bed. Room a good size by Japanese hotel standards and very clean. Hotel reception areas very chic. Good breakfast.

Review 22:There was pee stain on the toilet bowl in our room when we got there. They must have missed ut.

Review 23:Very strategic location! The hotel was very cute and neat.

Review 24:The view was facing other hotel rooms only.

Review 25:The staff were excellent and very helpful. The TV was big and had a nice picture. The bathroom had a heated mirror and nice-smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Comfy bed.

Review 26:Location-wise while it was near to Sakuragicho station, it was on the opposite side of Minato Mirai area, though it really is just a short walk away.

Review 27:Really good value for money! Clean and comfortable rooms and although we didn't have the breakfast, it seemed good value too, try it!

Review 28:The dryers were quite dismal as they weren't able to dry even a relatively small load after 1-2 hours. Perhaps they might consider upgrading the dryers.

Review 29:The rooms were small but comfortable with most amenities available. I liked that there were coin operated washer/dryers available on each floor.

Review 30:We found that they have compliementary sushi for Happy Hour but the offering period was a bit short. Also, no parking at the site though the nearby parking lots are not far. Extra bonus would be good if they have onsen or sauna facilities, like another hotel brand.

Review 31:Great location. Free coffee 24hrs at lobby. Definitely would consider staying in again if rate fits.

Review 32:nothing

Review 33:location is good! 7mins walk from Sakuragicho Station, just crossed the walking bridge Staff speak good English Room is clean, bed is abit small for 2 people Toilet is good, clean, shampoo and soap smell really good!

Review 34:Needs better pillows (but thin pillows seems to be a Japanese thing)

Review 35:Lovely staff, received an early check in (10.30am), location not far (3 min walk) from the JR station, super clean, free slippers, nice view, free drip coffee (if you like drip coffee)

Review 36:Great, new hotel within short walking distance from JR Sakuragicho and the central business district. I love the modern decor! Will definitely stay here again.

Review 37:Breakfast wasn't all that good. It was a strange mixture of different foods, but few "breakfasty" items like cereal, bread, cheese etc.

Review 38:The hotel was very clean, modern and quiet. Small rooms but not uncommonly small for Japan. Overall I can highly recommend the hotel.

Review 39:My room only had a window to some internal shaft, so new view at all. For me this was no problem at all.

Review 40:Brand new hotel with all standard amenities; very friendly staff. Location is in perfect walking distance to Sakurogicho station and all tourist attractions of Yokohama.

Review 41:If you're staying in lower floor room pedestrian bridge is right in front of your window, so the window blinds has to be closed all the time. Railway noises too strong. 2 bottles of water, but water is rotten . The smell in bathroom. The lamp over the teatable is low, so it's obstacle. No trashcan in bathroom (cotton balls throw in toilet?). In the evening you can hear the noises from nearby restaurant. First morning of my stay the breakfast was a disaster, the second and the third were better.

Review 42:Allows earlier check-in, big TV screen, several power sockets in the room, JR station nearby

Review 43:My room's window had no view (faced another window), WiFi wasn't very good. The room had a good layout but was very small and the lighting was very harsh.

Review 44:The room was very nice with a large shower room that was separate from the toilet room. A large television and food delivery was a nice touch. They have a very friendly staff and everything was very clean!

Review 45:It would be nice to have some explanation in the room on how to use the air conditioner. Because everything was in Japanese. In the end, I randomly pressed the buttons and figure it out by myself. Although, I think if I had asked the staff they would had promptly help me.

Review 46:the location is near to the train station and many touristic attractions in Yokohama. The room was nice and had everything I needed.

Review 47:The hotel is very good located near railway station and entertaiment area Minato Mirai, the staff is very friendly and room is very well equiped. I liked this place very much!

Review 48:I stayed in 421 room and the WIFI signal is almost zero. I have to sit at the door to check some information online because in the room, I can never surf the internet.

Review 49:Everything except Wifi

Review 50:The room is extremely small. We could hardly move ourselves or luggage inside the room. Wifi is not very good even at lobby.

Review 51:The bresakfast buffet was very nice with a very reasonable price of 1200yen. Definately worth trying.

Review 52:Not discounts in breakfast for guests. Not credit card accepted in restaurant, at least not to pay breakfast. WIFI very unstable. Breakfast was very simple. For the same price 1200 JPY you get a better one at APA Hotel for instance.

Review 53:Excellent price for what you get. Excellent service. The hosts and hostess were very friendly and kind. They were very flexible with last minute changes on my schedule. They speak English quite well

Review 54:The location is great. Close to Minato Mirai, the International Docks and the local China Town and this makes it an ideal choice for those of you that want to get the most out of your Yokohama trip. Also, it's a 5 minute walk to the closest station which is an extra plus!

Review 55:I prefer a Japanese breakfast style rather than a American breakfast style.

Review 56:Their staff can speaks English fluently which is good for an Non-Japanese speakers like us. Their location is very good. Minato Mirai 21, the sightseeing place of Yokohama also locates near this hotel. You can walk around 15 minutes to get there. There are 2 trains stations (from two different lines) which is convenient for travelers who want to travel around Yokohama and also want to travel to others town such as Tokyo.

Review 57:Staff could not find us a room for one extra night after we had made an error on our booking so we had to change hotels

Review 58:Staff spoke English quite well and location was within easy walking distance to Sakuragicho Station and also many other attractions

Review 59:Bar and restaurant closed quite early. Also western style food. Not much Japanese food, so if you are looking for that, you'll have to god out to one of the many restaurants nearby.

Review 60:Nice, hip, clean place on a great, central location.

Review 61:Incredibly hot room. Air con would time out every 15min and the windows wouldn't open - making for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Review 62:New hotel with good facilities

Review 63:Checkout time was 10:00am (I would expect 11:00am for most hotels). The breakfast finishes a little early, so we missed it.

Review 64:Hotel was very modern & stylish, large bathroom, clean comfortable rooms with window view. Free wi-fi, nice bar and good location.

Review 65:Horrible, horrible pillows. Everyone has an opinion on pillows and this was not my kind. Unfortunately when complaining there was no alternative so it was suggested that I fold up a towel instead.

Review 66:Fantastic staff, so nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, location was perfect.

Review 67:Big room for a Japanese room. Very comfortable and modern. Was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Very worth the money and staff spoke perfect English. Close to the train station and shops/restaurants. Highly recommended.

Review 68:Excellent staff, clean rooms, on-site restaurant, easily accessible/great location! Enjoyed and ended up booking about a week later when our plans changed at the last minute!

Review 69:helpful staff (they can recommend very nice restaurants around), quiet and nice area, well connected by public transportation. rooms are small (japanese standard) but still comfortable. laundry available at every floor

Review 70:Room had no window. Need English instructions on air con unit. English Channel on TV would be appreciated.

Review 71:Great staff who were very helpful. Good location- easy walk from the station. Quiet hotel.

Review 72:The pillows were hard and not comfortable.

Review 73:We really appreciated the very kind and professional staff, all of them, especially Ms. Hirano. They took care of us and made us feel special. We also loved the location, the coffee in the lobby (delicious), and the convenience of having a washer/dryer.

Review 74:We stayed for a week and were reluctant to leave. Our room was small but very functional. Beautiful lobby that soothed as soon as you entered. Staff were polite, and helpful. Easy walking to several train stations and many other sites including the small Yokohama Brewery just across the road. Highly recommended

Review 75:Staff was really friendly and even called a lost and found office for us. The modern setting and the room has many nice and convenient facilities, like turning the lights on and off from your bed etc. We really enjoyed our time ther. The breakfast was also reaaally nice!

Review 76:• The Yokoyama is really beautiful and powerful, I love this city! This hotel is near the Sakuragi-cho station. If you know the song "One more time, one more chance", you will feel special about Sakuragi-cho. • This hotel serves everything I want. The experience is premium which have over the price!

Review 77:This was a beautiful hotel, larger room than we had in Tokyo and bigger bathroom. Location was great, 5min walk from the train station and really close to bars and restaurants (Yokohama brewery literally across the st). Laundry facilities and microwave on our floor and free coffee downstairs in the restaurant.

Review 78:Not much to say here. Maybe a lack of gym? Even still, this hotel was fantastic

Review 79:Everything was good with the place. Good location, good rooms. Modern and contemporary. Just a perfect little place. We managed to get a good price and it made the stay even better. One of the best hotels I have visited.

Review 80:No closet space, No towel racks, Poor tv Only japanese language remote and stations, No bellman, No front arrival area, must block traffic to off load. This a businessman overnight stay hotel not for extended stay or family. Will not be returning and will express our displeasure to associates traveling to japan.

Review 81:Some of the front desk staff (with poker face) are not helpful enough

Review 82:Love the modern style and the atmosphere. Close to Sakuragi JR and the Central of Yokohama

Review 83:really nothing

Review 84:We didn't stay long in Yokohama, but after a lot of travelling throughout Japan, hotel Edit was a perfect stop to recharge batteries and relax. It has a good location, close to JR train station, easy access and is very clean and comfortable.

Review 85:some of the scents that are pumped through the hotel can be a bit off putting. Garlic sausage was the scent for the upper floors and star anise for the lobby.

Review 86:Everything is completely new and hipster themed. Don't Scrooge out and try saving a buck for breakfast. Edit has the best and most unique breakfast spread this side of Sapporo.

Review 87:Close to the train station, Chinatown, red brick, cosmo clock, etc. The urban modern theme sets a really good vibe, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.

Review 88:New Hotel initially difficult to locate due to unfamiliarity with area. Functional, good customer service and aesthetically pleasing. Couldn't fault it for the one night U stayed their. Complimentary espresso/coffee a nice touch particularly if you haven't opted for breakfast. Would return without hesitation.

Review 89:Small rooms, every thing on Japanese, we have a problem at first to start the conditioner, then a girl on reception helped us and gave instructions in English.

Review 90:It's a geat location, very friendly staff. We had a very good breakfast. Every thing was clean and nice.

Review 91:Had to pay the full stay at check-in which never happened before. Room is very cramped and inside walls are like easy breakable. No place to store your clothes. No view. Air conditioning is very noisy and even have it set at 26 degrees, when blowing cold air is very cold, when in standby in very warm - not properly regulated. Previous staying at Royal Park hotel and the room price difference is too insignificant comparing with the extra room quality, space and view you get from Royal Park. If both have rooms available, every time I'll choose Royal Park. I had no choice this time. Is not a totally let down, but in comparison is really big difference for so little money.

Review 92:Breakfast was good and good priced. Very clean facilities and friendly staff, but for who is familiar with Japan, this is nothing extraordinary and necessary this hotel related

Review 93:Could indicate clearer walking directions from the train station

Review 94:Quiet locaion in the nieghbourhood. Sleek and compact room with cafe and chilling out area

Review 95:nothing bad.

Review 96:Close to Sakuragicho and Minato Mirai. Beautiful amenities, clean and fresh. Loved the common area in lobby. Restuarant well priced. If I could I would give this hotel 11/10!

Review 97:The hotel is in a great location, situated right by a river allows for some awesome views of Yokohama. Staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and I loved my stay here! Thank you! :D

Review 98:Very small rooms, most staff don't speak English very well but very polite and can communicate.

Review 99:New hotel excellent for business trips, very very clean, quite, high speed free Internet.

Review 100:Rooms were really clean and modern. Bed exceptionally comfy. We absolutely loved the buffet breakfast which was the highlight of our stay. Great value for money! And so much variety. We will definitely stay here again next trip to Yokohama as the location was on a quiet street but with a lot of funky restaurants and bars.

Review 101:The free wifi had a weak signal in our room. We had to go to the lobby for a stronger signal.

Review 102:We liked that the hotel was a non smoking hotel. The rooms and facilities were super clean. The staff was friendly.

Review 103:There where quite bad wifi reception in the room. You basically had to sit against the door to have a stable connection

Review 104:Very nice location near metro station. Short walk from china town and Minatomirai district. Clean room and quiet room. Very friendly and helpful staff

Review 105:Construction was going on in front of the hotel,so it wasn't so pleasant seeing that. The toilet room was tiny.

Review 106:The hotel was very conveniently located with access to the JR line and the subway lines within a 5-7mins walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Very new and trendy hotel with thoughtful interior. Super comfortable bed and a huge TV!

Review 107:I arrived very tired long connection flight then i had to wait until check in time 3 hours at the lobby

Review 108:Location staff cleanness all good except being strict about check in time

Review 109:Not much, I just wish the staffs could speak English better

Review 110:I loved this place! Nice location, and so cozy and neat interior. I especially loved the lounge which was like a cafe. Hotel wasn't much different with the pictures. They even served two bottles of water, deodorant for clothing, and free coffee ticket.

Review 111:Booking with booking.com was so convenient. The hotel is in a good location, staff friendly and helpful, room small but very new and clean with excellent amenities. Even a dressing gown. Free coffee coupon was appreciated. Stayed two nights and would return.

Review 112:too close to the railroad so there's a bit noise bed might be small to tall men

Review 113:location, design of the room, reasonable price, delicious morning buffet, bathroom amenities

Review 114:The bars last call is on 10:30 PM at the Lobby. But there's a bunch of bars very close by. The Wifi was horrible actually.

Review 115:Might be the newest hotel in Yokohama. Was really a great experience, no lie.

Review 116:Nothing!

Review 117:The location near the train station was great. Also close to the Ferris wheel :) Overall it was superb value for money and a nice surprise.

Review 118:Nothing that I can think off.

Review 119:Hotel is very new and well-maintained.

Review 120:Clean and simple room design. Close to Yokohama port area.

Review 121:None

Review 122:Convenient location to the JR line, metro stations. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood.

Review 123:The corner suite was too noisy with rail very close.

Review 124:Nice lounge on 1F

Review 125:There is little alternative F&B outlets nearby and the hotel offer only fixed menu.

Review 126:Walking trails and beautiful scenery in the area.

Review 127:Location, style, cleanliness I will definitely choose this hotel the next time I come to yokohama.

Review 128:Location, Decor and Service! My second time to this hotel and didn't disappoint. Will return soon!

Review 129:Everything
