Review 1：The room wasn't cleaned properly, the complementary room bar very poor. After the first bottle of water and coffee all others charged for, this is a basic requirement and should be included. Food was excellent throughout.

Review 2：The facilities and the property were excellent as well as the front of house staff. The room very comfortable but the bed slightly small for two people. There was only a room with two beds available.

Review 3：Reception and housekeeping service not at is best. Things had to be asked for more than a couple of times in order to be done. Amazed at the lack of services at the hotel, such as no scales in the room or bureau de change at the desk. The card system on the lifts was really confusing as cards do not read properly every time. Better to have staff managing them than leaving guests puzzled every time you need to take the lifts. Finally, the descriptions of the food in the restaurant (buffet) not at all exact either in English or Spanish. Big faux pas when you are vegetarian and find meat inside dishes described as potato or cheese!

Review 13：the hotel organizes music with a DJ on the Sunday afternoon at the pool. A lot of people not staying in the hotel come to the party. A lot of them are smoking at the pool area, which is a non smoking area. None of the staff is giving any comment. very annoying

Review 16：The service was unparalleled! Every single employee I interfaced with was absolutely warm and gracious, and assisted me with whatever I needed. I felt like a princess! And the buffer breakfast was amazing! Also, the restaurant Chardonnay which is on property had the best steak in Guadalajara. Our group kept going out for "great food" but after a couple of us ate at Chardonnay we wished we had tried it sooner!

Review 17：The receptionist told us that she included the breakfast in our reservation. She told us that although we had access to a continental breakfast in the executive lounge, we should take advantage of the free breakfast at Decapolis restaurant. When we got to the restaurant, we were informed that it was not included and no one took responsibility for the misinformation we had received upon check-in. We arrived during breakfast hours but stayed past noon as we had a big group. They charged us for the Sunday brunch which begins at 12:00pm. There was a lot of arguing over this with their restaurant manager which was a really negative experience. We had brunch with 6 other people including my in-laws and a guest from Canada and we all felt very uncomfortable with this service. My husband and I were considering recommending this hotel for our international guests for our wedding in Guadalajara in October but with this kind of service we will look elsewhere.

Review 24：Hotel Riu Plaza is without a doubt the best hotel in Guadalajara. Located in one of the best areas in the city and surrounded with tree-lined streets with close proximity to shopping malls and great restaurants. The staff are extremely helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Rooms have a great view of the city and are very comfortable and well decorated. Food at the hotel is good and you have a few different options to choose from, but the buffet breakfast is a must. I travel a lot and Hotel Riu Plaza is definitely one of my favourite hotels worldwide and ultimately my top choice for my stays in Guadalajara.

Review 66：The first thing I noticed as I got inside the room were two big stains on the carpet right in the center of the room! and another stain on the ottoman! Seriously? How can they be so careless? Oh and you better stock up and take your own towels, because they only give you two. Another thing that really bothered me, since I love my coffee in the morning is that you only get a little coffee package the first day. We stayed 6 days, well it doesn't matter, they won't replenish it, so I was definitely not impressed at all, for the money you're paying you would expect a lot better service! Personally I would not go back to this hotel is too over-rated!

Review 68：Everything! Rooms are lovely and spacious with a stunning view of the city. Breakfast at the hotel is great. Staff are friendly and polite, always ready to help even though I didn't speak Spanish. Pool and spa are excellent and concierge is always ready to answer any questions you may have. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to Guadalajara.

Review 69：The airconditioned did not stop by itself, it was running all the time therefore i had to turn it off two times during the night because it was too cold then too hot.

Review 81：I noticed that the security cards would only allow you to stop on thefloor you were staying on...this is a problem. If someone were to losetheir card and someone else find it. It would enable that individual tofind what room it was for very easily because only the floor the room ison can be selected. This means that the criminal would only have about10 or so doors to try before entry... I believe that security is veryimportant in todays world and would like to bring this possible securitybreach to your attention.
