Reviews for Posada del Cortes

Review 1:The street in front was under construction unfortunately so there was noise in the early morning and the hotel was experiencing some plumbing issues as a result, also wifi did not work for more than a few minutes at a time or not at all.

Review 2:The hotel was very nice on the inside, cute rooms, beds were comfortable. Staff helpful and apologetic about the construction.

Review 3:This tiny boutique hotel is a delight to stay at. The roof terrace is perfect for a glass of wine as the sun sets, and the location is central making eating out simple. Love the ambiance of Posada Del Cortes!

Review 4:Wifi signal was a bit weak.

Review 5:The private terrasse for the room and the commun terrasse on the roof! So nice!! Very nice staff, nice room design, and very clean.

Review 6:The staff were great, the area was easy access to the town. The decor was just as we expected very Mexican/Spanish. Small but very neat rooms. Could not fault the service the lady in charge offered to drive us to breakfast because issues very wet outside duet heavy rain at night.

Review 7:Minor, but it's on a side street which is not yet paved so you have to walk/drive through a dirt road for 20 meters before getting there

Review 8:Remodeled, very cozy, cute place with traditional Mexican decor. Loved that there was a mini-kitchen w microwave, nice fridge and coffee. Place was very clean and accessible to downtown and the malecon. There was parking available.

Review 9:My only complaint was the wifi. Even though there's a wireless router in each room. There's no bandwidth and is hard to get online.

Review 10:Great location, great staff and a great value for what you get.

Review 11:On the weekend, the nearby bar plays live music so you'll hear it.

Review 12:This boutique hotel is centrally located from the malecon and the heart of town. Loreto is a small seaside town without many tourists but with some very good restaurants at non-tourist prices. The hotel staff was always helpful and the room was comfortable and roomy. I'd come back here again although there are some comparably nice places close by to chose from.

Review 13:Liked everything. Sorry that could not get to roof terrace which I'm told was beautiful but couldn't face the spiral staircase.

Review 14:Lots of attention to detail. It was centrally located so easy walking distance to bars shops and beach.had a premier room with 2 lovely little balconies.

Review 15:Unsecure parking. We're older and there was a vine covering the railing on the stairs to the second floor so it was difficult to climb up the flight of stairs without hand support.

Review 16:Location near town plaza. Nicely appointed room and beautiful architecture and setting.

Review 17:Can't think of a thing, unless you need a pool, but hey, the ocean is right there!

Review 18:Wonderful ambiance, quiet but around the corner from everything happenin' and only a block to the waterfront. A perfect kitchenette. Beautiful breezes, kind and thoughtful staff, couldn't be better.

Review 19:the architecture of the posada was first class. The attention all to detail in the rooms was wonderful. Room six has a two queens but well done and two balconies with one totally suitable for breakfast in the morning sunshine.

Review 20:This new hotel is build with quality materials and fixtures and is located a block from the malecon and a few blocks from the mission. This is a great home while in Loreto.

Review 21:I wasn't used to the sound of birds chirping at dawn and am a very light sleeper.

Review 22:The room was comfortable and clean and in a great location for the restaurants, beach, and marina.

Review 23:No WiFi for our stay of three days. We were able to connect at restaurants.

Review 24:Clean rooms, 2-5 minute walk to most sites. On a dirt road close to downtown which was a plus to limit traffic and noise. Would stay here again.

Review 25:Nothing worth mentioning.

Review 26:Wonderful room. Small kitchen area with evertthing you need for simple cooking. Lovely bathroom. Small balcony. Fabulous roof terrace.

Review 27:I liked everything.

Review 28:So close to everything, yet a few blocks from the busy restaurant area. Authentic tile and feel of whole place. Clean, quiet and lovely.

Review 29:Road noise. No one available to carry bags up the stairs.

Review 30:Beautiful little patio and a 3rd story viewing area. The place was clean and close to town center.

Review 31:The first time I stayed we had a 'suite' on the first floor with really just a larger bedroom with two beds, but it was immesurably better than the second stay , on the ground floor, where the noise from the guests above , toilet and all, was really too much for comfort. Still a lovely room, very small. But noise and light from the hall way, and stuffiness made it difficult

Review 32:I love this place, it's cute and well decorated, good bed, good wifi, good location, roof terrace lovely. Great taste all round.

Review 33:It was disappointing that the wifi was not as good as it should be.

Review 34:We liked the location. The concierge gave us a recommendation of a restaurant a block away. It was within a palapa. The food was excellent. Other guests staying at Posada del Cortes recommended a restaurant for breakfast that was also close by and had excellent food.

Review 35:We would have loved to have a pool, but this place does not. There were also barking dogs in the neighborhood, but they were everywhere throughout the town, so not the fault of the hotel. There was plenty of closet space but only 3 small drawers.

Review 36:This charming hotel was in a great location, had great staff and for the most part was quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The owner was so accommodating to all our needs and our room was always clean.

Review 37:The hotel doesn't have heat and it was cold when we arrive. We got and extra good blanket and the hotel took the suggestion to buy few portable heathers for the future passengers.

Review 38:Excellent location, close to the old part of town and El Malecon.Nice boutique hotel...with an excelent attention. Ask for the upstairs rooms.Room 6 is really nice

Review 39:The owner, Luz, was warm, friendly and accommodating. All the staff was exactly the same. Some rooms are a little on the small side and since we were staying 8 nights, Luz moved us to a larger room with a balcony. There is a lovely roof top terrace that we also enjoyed. The location was perfect. A minute's walk to the top square and the malecon. With the small boutique hotel of seven rooms, we were able to meet everyone that stayed, which was a great experience. Everyone in the town is friendly.

Review 40:Completely charming small hotel. Beautifully decorated with Mexican tile work. Good sized bathroom. Very helpful staff who even let us park our motorcycles inside the courtyard for safe-keeping. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Loreto.

Review 43:Lack of wine glasses, potable water, candles in room had been left untrimmed since last guests. A friend was flying home and we had a special bottle of wine. I forgot to bring wine glasses and the hotel had some but they were not for guests. We managed buti thought for the price we paid they could have accommodated us. Nice overall service

Review 44:Lovely staff, environ ,ambiance, decor, breakfast on upstairs balcony, overall experience was a delight.Sunset on upper deck was areal treat. Staff helpful in finding local cuisine.

Review 45:We were charged 10 dollars per dog per night - I respect the charge but would have preferred to know the cost in advance when making reservation. Location is near malecon and convenient though in a small alley with limited secure parking.

Review 46:The room was wonderful - nice decor, very comfortable bed far above typical beds in Mexico - nice extras with fridge, coffee maker, small balcony, good wifi.
