Dom na Podwalu is a 17th century building complex, including a historic St. Adalbert's Church, located on the edge of Lublin’s Old Town. It is located a 2-minute walk away from the Lublin Castle, 1,000 feet from Lublin Bus Station and 0.9 miles to Lublin Train Station. Świdnik Airport lies 5 miles away.

Review 1：Excellent location with wonderful views all around. Very close to Castle and Old Town, yet located in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Amazing spread for breakfast, delicious coffee and very pleasant staff.

Review 2：Genuinely friendly staff, spotless and comfortable rooms in a perfect location. I read a previous review complaining about lack of modern furniture, etc. I think this sentiment is completely misplaced. The property was a former convent and rooms are somewhat austere, but that only adds to the charm in my view. It is not a Holiday Inn, thankfully. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Lublin. And extraordinary value as well.

Review 8：Location! 2nd time here, cos we knew they have good beds, secure, gated car parking (huge area) & just stairs up and you have a great view to the castle and all the streets of Old Town of Lublin are steps away + many good places to eat and drink. Breakfast is great! We woke up at 10 and decided to eat while on the road but they called to our room and were worried why we didnt come to eat and asked what time we´d like to show up and they had put all the food and fresh coffee, juices etc for us! Many different sorts of food!!

Review 13：I asked for double bed, got two singles and was basically accused of a lie by some members of the staff. Rooms are located on first and second floors what means lots of stairs when you carry a luggage. The place is a former Catholic church/ convent keeping all the marks of it like crosses, chapel, bible. In general the staff was not very pro- customer and quite impolite.

Review 21：At first I was not sure being part of the church but the peace and tranquility of the over all atmosphere was so restful The quietness is amazing .this would be one of the cleanest hotel I have ever been in it is stunningly spotless .the receptionist s were so helpful .the breakfast was excellent .both quality and variety some speciality foods made on site .the location is wonderful at the bottom of the steps from the old town .Lublin is quite different much quieter and the people very friendly but reserved .not yet on the major tourist map but worth a visit

Review 26：Beautiful hotel in an old church, located directly beside Lublin Castle and at the bottom of the stairs from the entrance to the old town. Transit is very close with access to all sites, including Majdanek camp.

Review 27：The staff were not very friendly. Although the room was ready the receptionist refused to hand over the key until the exact check in time. The room was not cleaned properly. We found a pair of men's underwear next to the bed, left presumably by the previous guest. Breakfast was average with minimal selection available. If I stay in Lublin again this would not be my first choice hotel to stay in.

Review 55：The hotel was devoid of any character which was a pity as it looks to have been a monastery or a church in the past. Needs to get into the 21st century. Very small room. Bed was too low and was very hard. Was there for 2 days but the room was not cleaned or bedding changed once. Worst breakfast i've had in my 5 visits to Poland.This hotel has plenty of scope and should look into a bar area , a gym , and a tv area ect .

Review 57：ここはホテルというより、宿泊施設です。一般的なホテルのサービスはあまり期待せず、寝泊まりするところと- いう割り切りがあればよい宿泊施設だと思います。ただ、Wifiはほとんど機能しませんでした。３泊してつながったのはたったの２回だけでした。あと余分なことかもしれませんが、１人で宿泊することはあまりお勧めしません。教会と同棟の建物で静か過ぎるほど静か、日没後の廊下は自分で電気のスイッチを付けない限り真っ暗、ちょっ- とした物音や廊下の先のガラスドアに自分の姿がうっすら映るだけでけっこう縮み上がります。気にしない方な- らよいと思いますが。

Review 61：The cons: What a pity!! An old 17th C building-turned-hotel that has totally missed the mark. The feeling is like a student hostel. Not just frugal but outright austere. Painfully basic IKEA-like furniture, no trash bin in the room (one the bath room), no coffee making kit (a coin-operated coffee automat in the basement), stuttering wi-fi, and so on. With just a little bit of truly necessary investment - especially in decent furniture - the place could be a gem. Now it is avarage at best. Pity.

Reception was nice and gave us info and keys to the gates and welcomef to the breakfast etc. Building is huge and nice!! Room was nice, clean, comfy!! Windows to the Old Town, great views!! Location was perfect! Just two steps & you are in the castle or climbing up the stairs to Old parts, what a view!! Amazing!! Small alleys and bars, restaurants, shops and old buildings right next to!! Breakfast was good, plenty of choices: various type of bread, cheese, ham, eggs, sausages, vegetable pie, yoghurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolade, juice, fruits etc. Majdanek is few km away, took a visit there as well. Castle is near and charming Old Town. Great views, comfy room and safe gated parking = liked our stay and will visit Lublin again and hopefully this hotel.

The hotel has a great location, a few steps from major tourist attractions, market square, restaurants etc. It has spacious and free parking, a nice lawn outside. The room was pretty good too, clean and big enough for the price we paid. Overall we had very nice time in this hotel.

I guess, when the hotel was "designed" people thought about different things, such as peace in mind. And that matters for us a lot! No TV, no paintings on the walls, no rush. But silence, Lublin castle and old town (300m away and 100m away from hotel, respectively), private parking and so on. Unbelievably amazing.
