Reviews for Hotel Eden

Review 1:We arrived a day later because the Sarajevo airport was closed due to fog and our flight was cancelled. The charged for 3 days even when we only stayed for two days. Having in mind that Sarajevo airport is frequently closed due to weather conditions, I think is risky to book in advance in Eden Hotel. Others hotels didn't charge us for the nights we didn't enjoy as far as wasn't our fault arriving late. So other hotels could be better alternative options to Eden Hotel.

Review 2:A really comfortable room with excellent views over the city.

Review 3:The room was smaller than I expected yet still comfortable, modern and clean.

Review 4:Location and staff. The front desk staff and the waiters/servers in the restuarant were were friendly, polite and nd helpful

Review 5:The swimming pool was so cold on the evening we arrived that it was impossible to get into. We were told it was warm in the mornings but trying at 5pm next day we found it was a little warmer but still too cold.

Review 6:The staff were really helpful and very friendly.

Review 7:Arriving by car is pritty complicated and hard to get there by foot.

Review 8:Everything New, beautiful and clean hotel. The pool is open until late. The stuff is very friendly.

Review 9:I was delighted by the whole experience: the staff, the room, the meal, the transport to the bus station at 6am, all for a very low price. One thing, not a problem for me but could be for some, is the hotel is at the highest point of the town, and the bridge is, by necessity, at the lowest, so quite a few stairs between the two, but hotel transport or a taxi would fix that, and Bosnian taxis are not expensive, but agree an approximate fare first!

Review 10:Great location just away from the busy streets on a hill overlooking the town. Only a short 5min walk to the old town and bridge. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. There is an indoor pool and gym to use if you need a day in. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast - breakfast was included in the room. The meals were great - exactly what you would expect at a high end hotel (not the cheapest or biggest). There is also undercover car parking which is handy when it rains. Room size was great, plenty of space for luggage, with all modern fittings.

Review 11:Apart from being a little tricky to locate when arriving by car, this hotel was wonderful. As soon as we arrived we were helped with our luggage and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable and quiet. It also had an indoor pool which was great after a long day of driving. It is located close to the old city on top of the hill. Breakfast was included and was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Review 12:Only downside is walking back from old city to the hotel is quite a hike

Review 13:Great view overseeing old city. Staff was very nice and helpful. The room is comfortable.

Review 14:We had a really great time. Close to the old town, amazing view of the city. Great food, pleasant staff. We will definitely stay here again and most certainly recommend it.

Review 15:Nice new hotel 5 mins down to the old bridge but 30 mins back up the Everest like climb !!! Walk down get a taxi back its worth the pound you get charged. Breakfast was OK would of been better if the hot food had been hot. Main reason for picking this hotel was parking which in the old town is very hard. Top tip get up early to go into the town before 9 am beat the crowds

Review 16:The pool had been subject to repair and was not great in its heat - a disappointment. Some of the male staff could put a smile on their faces - but not great complaint. The pool is dangerous - under surface walls and platforms are a very bad aspect of a new facility.

Review 17:There was an indoor pool - with good hours.Room was a good size and the bed comfortable. A very new hotel with good and interesting design

Review 18:This is an upscale, high quality hotel. To compensate for their location to the old town, the hotel offered shuttle service to and from. Very nice touch. We requested some laundry services and we were quite happy with the quick return same day. We would definitely recommend this property. This property is close-in but away from the shoulder-to-shoulder crowd.

Review 19:The room was basic, but that was to be expected in this area and at this price.

Review 20:The location was beautiful! Compared to other B&B's around the area, this was perfect. 5 minute taxi into the old city and waking up to incredible views! Very friendly staff. Solid air conditioning.

Review 21:No welcome drink (as promised on bookings)!

Review 22:Shiny and new. Close to the old bridge. Close to the old town without having to associate with backpackers/hippies/cretans.

Review 23:It was very difficult to find from the highway. Do not rely on GPS. Call the hotel for driving instructions. O

Review 24:New modern hotel, cheerful staff, very good restaurant, the location is very good, 3 blocks from the Stari Most (old bridge) but quite a bit higher up a steep hill.

Review 25:Nothing!

Review 26:The lady on reception was just a gem: extremely professional, kind, helpfull and humorous! The property is situated on the top, so you will have an incredible view from your room. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the town and it was stunning, especially in the evening. The food in the restaurant was beyound praise and the waiters knew their business through and through. The hotel has also a swimming pool with several different massage showers. A free private parking and free very good wi-fi is also available at the hotel. Breakfast was included in price and it was good! The old bridge and other attractions are at a walking distance from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel if you're going to Mostar!

Review 27:Not to have stayed for more days!

Review 28:An amazing hotel with a an even more amazing staff. The car parking is awesome. The pool is very clean and quiet. Breakfast very rich and tasteful.

Review 29:Stingy on sheets and blankets - we were almost literally short-sheeted on our "king" bed, and I had to hunt for a blanket. Location a little out of town up the hill (though nice views).

Review 30:Clean, modern room, nice decor, decent bathroom. Nice breakfast.

Review 31:The hotel is new and bright, in good location and facilities. Breakfast is excellent! We had to shorten our stay and despite conditions were not modifiable, the staff changed it for us at no extra cost

Review 32:strange smell in the room. we book 2 rooms with balcony but 1 room with balcony and 1 without balcony were assigned to us at the price of room with balcony. 1 room with 7% discount after bargain. No good !

Review 33:carpark

Review 34:The walk up from the town - 100% take a taxi from the train station or to the train station. The walk up and down is pretty steep and requires walking 100+ stairs.

Review 35:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The food in the restaurant was wonderful and extremely good value for the money! The comfort and cleanliness of the room was great! Loved our stay here!

Review 36:The short return walk from city centre is a steep climb which is poorly lit.

Review 37:Customer service in a relaxed atmosphere and excellent facilities. Conveniently located near to Mostar bridge and bazar.

Review 38:Just a bit of a climb up the hill to get to the hotel.

Review 39:Hotel was great, clean, with friendly staff. And additionally, there was a pool, which was great on a hot summer day!

Review 40:Please, please sort out google directions and maybe more signage within town-- drove in circles for an hour and then gave up and carried bags up steep steps/hill! Walls between rooms are a bit thin (ie you can hear a lot of noise from next door).

Review 41:Beautiful new hotel (spa still under construction) with very friendly and receptive staff. Great views. Delicious breakfast. Comfy beds and good A/C. Accommodated request to move rooms due to crying children/shouting parents in next room (very much appreciated!!) Free candy! :)

Review 42:The sauna/spa wasnt open yet when we came (which was a reason why we booked) and the communal carpets are a bit worn. In the room all was snazzy though and the staff was the nicest of the whole trip.

Review 43:Pretty hotel with very nice staff, great breakfast, comfy beds and nice big room. The terrace and pool were a nice treat on a 40 degree day. 5 minute walk from town via a long set of stairs.

Review 44:difficult to find the way to the hotel. To get to the bridge you have to walk down the hill and than come back on foot which was quite demanding.

Review 45:Pool, breakfast, room spacious, TV with English channels.

Review 46:Forgot to clean the toilet bowl once in 4 nights during our stay

Review 47:The attitude of the manager and staff. The driver helped us get to the bus terminal on time when we had some delay during check-out.

Review 48:Our room wasn't made up by the time we returned late at night. Front desk staff was not very knowledgeable/helpful.

Review 49:Facility is lovely, and breakfast is great. Nice pool too. The free transport to the bus station was much appreciated, and the driver was nice.

Review 50:Hotel taxi was way to expensive compared to local taxis.

Review 51:Very comfortable bed, perfect room. Best service I've ever had in a hotel. Absolutely wonderful staff.

Review 52:The location is a bit far away from the old town and need to climb up quite a lot stairs

Review 53:The staff is very helpful. I requested a transfer from bus station but unlucky that my bus arrived late and the staff was so kind and has waited for us for almost 2 hours.

Review 54:The hotel could send in advance instructions to travelers on how to drive to the hotel as entering the address in a GPS will result in ending up in the wrong place - it took us more than half an hour to find the hotel. The hotel is not far from Mostar old town, but beware that walking from the old town to the hotel involves considerable climbing!

Review 55:Very friendly and helpful staff. New, modern and tastefully decorated hotel and rooms. Good WIFI and airconditioning and a nice swimming pool.

Review 56:I had a great stay at Hotel Eden. The staff were friendly and always available, the hotel very clean and comfortable. Everything is just as it looks in the photos. I requested a lunch which was not on the menu and the restaurant was able to deliver precisely what I asked for.

Review 57:You need to be in shape to climb back to hotel from the old town.

Review 58:Everything was new and clean. Nice view over the city. The brand new pool with automatic glass roof was nice: there was a short rain while we were by the outside pool but that was no problem since the could just close the roof.

Review 59:The hotel organised tour of the local area was fairly expensive for what it was (more a taxi service than a guided tour).

Review 60:A central location (despite being at the top of a very steep hill!) from which to discover Mostar Old Town. The staff were friendly and the hotel was modern.

Review 61:We arrived very much hoping for a solid night's sleep in preparation for a early start the next day. However, the hotel was hosting a wedding that night, directly under the windows of every room. It was incredibly loud with a terrible singer. The staff was apologetic but they were unable to stop. The manager mostly hid from the many of us making complaints The hotel apologized in the morning, said they would not have a wedding again, and gave us a discount and free breakfast. I give them credit for this

Review 62:Very clean and cool. A surprisingly good breakfast. Due apologies of staff

Review 63:Beautiful hotel within walking distance to Mostar centre. Great pool (it was very very hot when we visited Mostar so the pool was a bonus!). Very polite and helpful staff! Our thanks to the young lady with short red hair at the reception! A ten stars hotel!

Review 64:A little difficult to find but, to be fair, we Although GPS got us close it was not simple to find although, to be fair, we could have done a bit more preparation.

Review 65:An excellent place to stay for any visit to Mostar and surrounding places. Clean, modern and with excellent staff, a great breakfast, parking and a pool! A short walk to the Old Town.

Review 66:Villa Eden is a great hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to staton Mostar. We were meant to stay one night, but ended up staying a second because of the hotel and the town of Mostar. Make sure you have breakfast because it is fabulous!

Review 67:The uphill walk back from town!

Review 68:Really helpful, friendly staff. Swimming pool overlooking the town was a nice way to relax. Really great place, loved it.

Review 69:you would really have to look for details coffee at breakfast was not as good as the rest of the food (which was perfect) the hotel is not yet 100% finished the pool was quite cold the hotel is on the hill (steep parking space and way to the city but good view)

Review 70:everything

Review 71:Staff was excellent. My son forgot a stuffed animal and they DHL'd it to us to our home. Unbelievable - most hotels wouldn't do this. The hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk from the city - very convenient location. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Review 72:The hotel was in great condition, had all the amenities and was a perfect retreat from the heat of Mostar in the peak of summer. We loved the location, it was less than 10 minutes walk to the old bridge, yes there is a small hill but it's really not bad. The breakfast was excellent and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very luxurious for Bosnia and I would definitely stay here again

Review 73:We travell a lot, but this is one of the best hotels we stayed. The staff is very nice and professional. Rooms are very clean, equiped with new furniture. We definitely stay again. Parking for the car in front of the hotel. The location is near the old part of the city, which is great.

Review 74:Difficult to find if you gonna walk because most of the streets without name. The stair from main street from down to up to hotel looks like there dont walk nobody already long time:(

Review 75:New hotel.Everything is just perfect. Close to Starij Most.Small swimmingpool. Super breakfast.Good view from window if you are lucky:)

Review 76:The walk from the old town is short but a tough climb especially during the hot Mostar summer.

Review 77:Perfect place away from the crowded streets of Mostar. It has everything you need.

Review 78:The location of the hotel ensures a great view over Mostar. However, if you are going to the town or to see the old bridge, you'll need a taxi back to the hotel, since the climb up the hill is really exhausting! The description text in booking.com told that the hotel has a pool and a sauna. Neither one existed. The staff told us "it's not ready yet because of the bad weather we had". We were quite fatigued from travelling a long time and wished to have a swim and a sauna, really looking forward to it. Felt disappointed and mislead.

Review 79:Really great view from our room balcony. The room was really cheap in European standards compared to the level of the hotel! Large room in a newly built hotel, everything was fresh, clean and the bed was excellent. Free safety locker in the room as well.

Review 80:A bit of a walk to the old town in the heat

Review 81:One of the best hotels I have stayed in if you factor in value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were brand new and very clean, and the pool had just opened and was a welcome relief after enduring 43 degree heat in the town.

Review 82:we booked a hotel with a swimming pool but it was closed due to problems and the spa facilities weren't ready yet.

Review 83:excellent location to visit the old city of Mostar; since we decided to stay for the night we could do this thoroughly - and were very friendly welcomed in 2 mosks.

Review 84:The location was not good, specially during night it could be scary walk to the hotel. The hotel it located on top of the hill with 10minutes walking uphill from old town. I would not recommend for family with small kids and old people.

Review 85:Brand New hotel with comfortable beds and very clean.

Review 86:The fact that the hotel advertises a spa and pool but this wasn't opened up yet when we got there. Problem with builders and weather apparently! We should've been forewarned.

Review 87:The staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Review 88:The only thing I would say was a trouble, that wasn't even really a trouble, was just for people walking it's a lot of stairs to get there! But by car or taxi would be fine. Fabulous views make up for this!

Review 89:How accommodating and lovely the staff were even though we arrived much earlier than we stated, our room was ready. Even though we couldn't stay for breakfast the next day, they offered to make us coffee to go which was very kind. Room and balcony were amazing. Great value for money!

Review 90:The breakfast was mediocre, there was some choice but on both days we felt that the food had been standing there for hours and was not really added when a produce ran out. Also, if you are booking the hotel FOR its spa and swimming pool, check with them before you go - at the beginning of July they were still not open. It wasn't a major issue for us, but I don't think it's fair that they already advertise having a spa and a pool when actually, what you get instead is a construction noise.

Review 91:The staff! To say that they were friendly and helpful is an understatement - what a bunch of nice, professional, welcoming people! They made our stay truly comfortable. The room and the bathroom was also great, really good size, clean and everything very new. The hotel is very conveniently located for the Old Bridge and all major tourist attractions, although beware that it is on a top of a hill, so you will have to sweat a little. Great views from the hotel terrace should compensate though. Also, quite nice food in the hotel restaurant - we had dinner there for both nights of our stay and really enjoyed it.

Review 92:The pool that was advertised was under construction. The balcony was straight to a construction site, where they started 7 o'clock in the morning. Location close to highway and trash deposit. No view. 30 minutes check-out time.

Review 93:Big, clinical rooms. Clean.

Review 94:Only issue was that we thought the booking had already been charged through booking.com but we verified it had not been before handing over the card for final payment. Wording on booking.com conformation should reflect that final payment will be due at check out.

Review 95:Honestly, this place seemed too good to be true and I was expecting something to go weird and screw it up (like an out of the blue "service charge" or something). But it was just an extremely nice place with an astounding staff. They never once even mentioned there was a spa or pushed any services. Really good value. Yeah, it is a short hike up the hill but the view is totally worth it.

Review 96:No bad experience whatsoever. The hotel is not ideally located, but it is within very easy (steep) walking distance to the center of town. In some ways being a bit separated from the tourist attractions (and traps) made the hotel better. I did suggest that the hotel, very new, add viewing peeps on their doors for safety and security reasons. Bathroom a bit small.

Review 97:All the staff members were welcoming -- down to a very nice cool beverage on arrival and assistance at breakfast -- always pleasant, and professional.

Review 98:- Walk to Mostar old town goes through a quiet (dodgy?) area. - Pool and spa not completed yet.

Review 99:- Quite new - Very clean - Spacious triple room - Waiter Samir is excellent!

Review 100:The spa and pool was not completed. Short walk downhill to old town but walk back up is very steep especially the driveway of the hotel and not for the faint-hearted.

Review 101:Clean comfortable room

Review 102:Hotel was a building site with lots of noise and plant machinery rumbling around. Breakfast was a poor selection. Would not recommend.

Review 103:The exercise I got from walking up the steep hill.

Review 104:24 hour guarded Parking, very hospitable and competent staff, excellent WIFI, good breakfast! The Hotel is so new, even one Taxi Driver got lost when taking us back, so make sure he knows what he's doing ;-) The way from the Old Town up to the Hotel might be too much for some as it's many steps, a Taxi would be recommended then.

Review 105:We were there in the beginning of may and it was still under construction! Beside the noise, there was no pool, o gym, and this was not mentioned on booking.com and not informed in advanced to us. When we got there the manager didn't do anything to make it better. It was not worth the 95 euros/ night, so we left the next day.

Review 106:The room was big and modern.

Review 107:The location is on top of a steep hill. If you are decently fit, you can get to the hotel and the old city easily.

Review 108:Place was awesome and clean. Breakfast had a huge selection. We got to the hotel a lot earlier than expected and they were able to accommodate us so quickly!

Review 109:There was no pool or workout facilities available for use as advertised. Still under construction. Should not advertise them until actually available for use.

Review 110:Super nice staff and super helpful. Modern, quiet, super clean room, wifi, air conditioning and very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. Greeted us on arrival with a very tasty drink (non-alcoholic). Would stay here again.

Review 111:I had to climb a steef slope to get to the hotel. Also parking was on the slope. Luckly I was given a flat parking.

Review 112:Proximity from the old town. Friendliness of the staff.

Review 113:Nice hotel, friendly staff good location, about 5 min walk from old town-old bridge, very nice and modern rooms that are extremely clean, new....... Breakfast was plentiful offer a variety. The food in restaurant was also delicious and the staff is also friendly. I recommend a visit to this and all services provided by Eden Team

Review 114:No complaints.

Review 115:The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed at the hotel and the right information to explore Mostar. Rooms, and especially the bathrooms, were modern and immaculately clean.

Review 116:I wish the hotel arranged excursions were a bit more price effective. You can get cheaper service by renting a car or hiring a driver.

Review 117:Great facilities and wonderful breakfast.

Review 118:Nothing.

Review 119:Room (and hotel) was modern and clean. Location 5 min walk to the old town and bridge. Hotel Manager was very friendly and helpful. Pool and spa facilities will soon be available.

Review 120:Walking distance (some stairs down) to the bridge. Providing simple but decent breakfast. Staffs are friendly and helpful. It is not far away from bus station by taxi if you travel from Dubrovnik by bus.

Review 121:The hotel was up quite a steep hill, close to the old town but up lots of steps and far away from the bus station if you arrive by coach. However the taxis are very cheap and easy to find so I'd recommend using them to get around so the location isn't much of a problem.

Review 122:Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and well equipped. It was furnished in a modern style, which is good if you like that sort of thing, otherwise still good rooms. The complementary breakfast was nice and gave a pretty good choice. Mostar is a great city, lots to look at, very friendly people, good prices, beautiful scenery.

Review 123:Short walk from Old Bridge, although some hotels are nearer to the heart of the Old Town. Also, cafes on this side don't tend to sell beer!

Review 124:Brand new hotel with first class facilities for a bargain price.Free parking and very friendly staff.

Review 125:The location is just a five minute walk up a hill from the old town but it feels quite a long way from the action and atmosphere of central Mostar.

Review 126:Very new, clean and tastefully decorated hotel with excellent staff.

Review 127:i stayed one night here in this lovely hotel. it located on top of hill nt far from the old town of Mostar. I really recommend this hotel if you ve rental car. they staff were so helpful and the room was big and nice one. Loved it.

Review 128:The safe didn't work properly, and though the staff tried to help, they were unable to resolve it. The Buffet breakfast is quite decent, but can finish a bit earlier than stated, so don't leave it until the last minute.

Review 129:Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Decent breakfast. free onsite parking and good Wifi.

Review 130:- the hotel is situated on the hill, i.e. not very good for elderly people

Review 131:- private parking - easy to find (many signs on the roads) - very friendly staff (English speaking) - nice and clean room with air-condition - location just 400 metres from the old town (8 minutes) - fast wi-fi - wellcome drink

Review 132:The hill, don't walk!!! Atmosphere was lacking in bar and dining room area.

Review 133:Free drink on arrival!!! Hotel looks brand new, room was a great, nicely decorated, modern, good size, lots of TV channels including multiple movie channels. Couldn't fault wifi connection. Staff was great, so lovely. I told them I was leaving before breakfast began so on check out they had prepared a lunch pack for my travel day.
