Review 1：Room was basic, but had air conditioning and was clean. Breakfast not really 4 star quality. Hotel not really 4 star in our opinion. Wifi did not work on third floor.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff, in the reception, in the dining area and the cleaning personnel were all very courteous, pleasant and made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Review 35：The Palace Hotel Vieste is a very nice, comfortable hotel near the main square. The room & bathroom are larger than the Italian standard. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs to order. Parking in their garage (if available) is free. Recommended.
Review 36：Very difficult to find. Uninpiring lobby. No reserved parking facilties. We booked a standard room and on arrival asked if it had a good view. The reception clerk, who had as poor a command of English as we have of Italian, said that a sea view would be 13 euros extra to which we agreed. It turned out that the "sea view" could only be had by stepping out onto the tiny balcony and looking sharply to the left. We didn't bother to argue as otherwise the room was fine.
Review 37：We got a large room with modern bathroom. The next morning the (male) clerk asked us to pay an extra 30, not 13, euro for our "superior" room. After we explained that we had both heard 13 he accepted our explanation and only charged the lower figure. A mutual lesson was learned, "get it in writing"
Review 38：blankets were syntetic and not clean.heating was not functioning.the so called junior suit we had was poorly furnished.no cosmetic products in the bathroom(exept soap). breakfast was very poor. we stayed the after at boscolos hotel in Bari, which was wonderful, and it is unfair to give these 2 hotels the same rate,palace hotel in vieste does not diserve the 8.7

Review 43：Something solid needs to be in place regarding passports. It is the hotels responsibility that if they request/take passports from guests it is the hotels responsibility to return them on check out. This did not happen for us and it was quite a stressful situation that if they could not be transported to us on time for our flight home we would have had to drive from Cisternino back to Vieste to obtain them.

Angela, the front desk clerk was just wonderful, very helpful and pleasant and spoke ok English.
