Reviews for Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo
Review 1:Service is key. I'd vomited after breakfast. To which the response of the manager was, 'oh,ok'. Other than that our stay was very nice. All past experiences were much better at metropole.
Review 2:Good facility, amazing location. Upgraded my suite. Visited here several times.
Review 3:No
Review 4:Excellent experience in this hotel! Very warm and helpful service (special thanks to the concierge since our train has been cancelled at that day, he really helped us for all the booking for the tickets). High-end and decent design and facilities, one of the best hotel in the world.
Review 5:Breakfast service in the dining room was a little disorganised and could have been more welcoming. Room service breakfast on the other hand was exceptionally good.
Review 6:Friendliness of staff - especially reception and concierge.
Review 7:I am only sorry we were only there for one night!
Review 8:This is a beautiful, small, luxury hotel in an ideal location. All members of the reception staff were courteous and efficient; the junior suite was luxurious; the restaurant and lobby bar superb. We particularly enjoyed a drink by the pool, the last day it was open for the season.
Review 9:They have little knowledge of the casino No apologies after one of our group puked after eating at the hotel (only)
Review 10:Location and friendly staff, Amazing concierge desk, George in particular was very useful. Some managers are very good and attentive
Review 11:One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to, it's quite an experience. The interior design of the hotel is breathtaking, just stunning and really authentic. Great location, close to the action. The food is great, the spa and other facilities are top notch. If you can afford it, this is the place to stay in in Monaco.
Review 12:Everything is expensive and the concierge told us to go to the front of the Monte Carlo main casino for a taxi. Luckily we found there was a taxi stand right in front of the door of the hotel before we walked over to the casino.
Review 13:Most beautiful hotel with very fine staff - well run. Convenient to an elegant indoor shopping "mall" with many restaurants all overseen by Joel Robuchon. Very pleasant sitting area in the center of the hotel where you can enjoy really good food and drinks in a beautiful room.
Review 14:Unfortunatelly the breakfast is very disappointing breakfast. There is no bouffet.. Very poor and very expensive.
Review 15:Nice hotel and very helpfull staff..! Giorgio is the best! The room was clean and and with every comfort!
Review 16:Although we arrived well before regular check-in time, we were advised room would likely be ready and available in a timely manner. In the end, it wasn't ready until well after regular check-in time, which did cause us unnecessary hassle.
Review 17:Odyssey pool area, lovely reception and lobby bar area, fabulous room
Review 18:Pool is small but not bad for a central location. WiFi was slow which I just can't accept for a central location hotel!
Review 19:Great location, pretty cool place to say you have stayed. Yoshi restaurant is very good and very polite and friendly staff.
Review 20:Breakfast in room included but they charged 57euro, yes gift seven, for two extra coffees. Mentioned this at the check out and was told "tough" I live in Monaco so quite complacent about getting ripped off, but this took financial rape to a whole new level for me.
Review 21:Very friendly staff, clean, good location, good big rooms , great swimming pool. People that run this place made me feel like at home. Def coming back!
Review 22:I found the food to be below average for a 5 star hotel in Monaco. Both dinner and breakfast were a disappointment.
Review 23:The hotel is classically decorated - rich materials is used through out. I stayed in a junior suite for one night. Very comfortable stay.
Review 24:Very impressive Hotel both in appearance, the welcome from the staff and location. Our room was well presented and we received a welcome gift of chocolate covered strawberries. The view from our room was to the front of the hotel and over the roof tops to Casino Square. After getting a lovely coffee at Café de Paris, which is just round the corner, we explored the town and looked at the mega yachts in the harbour. We went back to the hotel to make the most of the swimming pool area (Odyssey) and again great service from the staff as we were taken to the sun loungers next to the pool. After several drinks, and a wonderful lunch, we spent the rest of the day relaxing. For the evening, we had booked a table at Joel Robuchon's two Michelin star restaurant. After reading the extensive menu, we chose the 7 course taster menu. Each course was presented beautifully and the flavours were spectacular. I know quite afew reviews say how expensive this restaurant is, but as long as you choose your wine carefully (avoid the 1000 euro bottles!), it is good value considering the level of food and service you get. After the meal we were given a whole lemon cake too made by Joel Robuchon which was another nice surprise. If you are looking for a luxury hotel where you are looked after and made to feel welcome, I would definitely recommend the Hotel Metropole.
Review 25:The wifi was a bit of a mystery. They mispelled my surname and as a result I could not use it.
Review 26:The location is perfect, very closed to the shopping centre in case you need extras!!!
Review 27:We had to leave.
Review 28:We stayed in suit 608 and was very impressed. Great location, staff on point, very clean and food in the hotel Is great. Will be back.
Review 29:Eating at an other restaurant other than Metropole Hotel.
Review 30:The services, food and beverage quality, facilities, hospitality is a must try experience. we do not gamble so the stay felt a bit long but pampering ourselves in the hotel felt great! Restaurant is so great and full at all times, reservation is a must. Every detail has been thought delicately.
Review 31:None.
Review 32:Everything about this hotel exudes the quality and detail you'd expect from a five star hotel. The staff especially are so helpful and not at all stuffy. I would definitely return.
Review 33:Breakfast certainly not five star bacon over cooked eggs fried hard sausages not good and Toast although ordered three times arrived at the end of the meal and very poor bread, coffee cold.
Review 34:Position and staff excellent
Review 35:Our room. 331 was quite small and had no drawer space. We lived for our 3day stay out of our suitcases. We would expect more space for clothes than provided.
Review 36:Hotel in general. We enjoyed the pool and outside area. We used the gym and this is good as a hotel gym though we were baffled at only opening at 8am on a Sun. The staff are efficient and welcoming when arriving. We found this throughout our stay, Thank you.
Review 37:The room was relatively small. Wifi connection is not great.
Review 38:On the last day we were caught in a torrential rain/hail storm. Although we already checked out, we went back to get our luggage. Soaked, we were given towels, and my wife was offered a nice cup of tea while showering and changing clothes in the spa at no charge. Great breakfast buffet!
Review 39:Guests bringing prostitutes to the hotel. Diminishes the hotel level badly.
Review 40:Very good breakfast for French (if I may say so) hotel. Very close attention to guests' requests. Good restaurant. Beautiful decor. Fantastic location.
Review 41:Its a very classy hotel so please take note that they charge 7uero for their 500ml mineral water each. Be prepare that they dont have iron and iron board to borrow; they offer pressing service with a charge though .
Review 42:Beautiful glamour hotel with best location. I have tried both Michelin restaurants on my stay, not as impressive.
Review 43:The driveway leading up to the hotel is simply amazing, as is the pool and roof deck. Staff is courteous and professional. The location is fantastic - short walk to the Casino de Monte Carlo and the square in front of it that stand as the center of the city.
Review 44:Beautiful hotel in a great location! Staff are very tentative to all needs! Breakfast was wonderful on the pool terrace and hotel bar great for cocktails or a snack with tea. Decor grand and romantic with a beautiful aroma of flowers around the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel
Review 45:Not much to dislike, but items/food purchased at the Hotel very expensive but it is one of the best in Monte Carlo so not unexpected.
Review 46:Location, staff conduct and attentiveness, quality of venue and rooms.
Review 47:Check-in took a long time, and we were only told after we had checked in that our room would not be ready for 3 hours. We would not have been too bothered about this, but we had not been told until after we checked-in and we weren't offered any refreshments while we waited. They said they would tell us when the room was ready but we were not informed. When we got into the room, it was small, dark, had 2 single beds pushed together and a view of smashed windows. Suitcases then took 20 minutes to be brought up. Staff seemed not to care when we rang reception to see if they had alternative rooms. Do not expect any little touches in your room (even an iron) this hotel likes to charge you for every single thing. For the price we paid for the room, we felt that it was extremely bad value for money. We have stayed in similar hotels to this across the world, and we have never experienced anything so poor from a 'Leading Hotel of the World'.Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we decided we wanted to move hotels so we could enjoy the rest of our break. We were met with a confrontational attitude, and lack of care for customer satisfaction. They refused to refund us for the remaining 2 nights that we would not be staying at the hotel, 'because they would lose their commission with booking.com' (having spoken to booking.com while we there, we were informed this was not the case) The manager couldn't care less that he had unhappy customers. He even tried to up-sell us to a suite because they did not have any alternative rooms. After about 2 hours trying to resolve this situation, he finally agreed to refund us for one of the three nights, however we have still not been refunded for the 2nd night that we did not stay at the hotel. All in all, a very disappointing experience, and the customer service was absolutely appalling.
Review 48:location was good. Hotel interior was beautifully decorated.
Review 49:The staff was either excellent or rude. The woman who checked us in was extremely ride. However, the concierge was enthusiastically helpful. I had an extremely rude waiter and at the pool I ordered a man tai. and I received a mojito. No apologies and no refund for the 25 euro drink.
Review 50:Great location.
Review 51:Pack light if travelling eitha child, rooms aren't very spacy.
Review 52:Very nice water in the swimming food. Extremley good food. Ask the concergie for any information you require. Casinos. Get a camera to see cars that only you can see in the internet. Eat and Joel Robuchont (rsstaurant in the hotel). If you have a child, don't panic, you can hire a nany at 30.-€ /hr. (Ask for Candy!) Try Monaco beer.
Review 53:Although we have stayed in Monaco before the food and drinks prices still make us gasp (29 euros for a gin & tonic)
Review 54:Staff were very pleasant and helpful, we had a deluxe room which was very comfortable and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. The pool area was lovely although smaller than we had anticipated from the pictures.
Review 55:The only negative thing was that we couldn't hire an iron we could only pay for the service and each item
Review 56:The whole package was outstanding. We arrived a little early and waited by the pool until our room was ready . Then when we were showed to out room we were amazed about the attention to detail the cleanliness and location .
