Reviews for Hotel Yria
Review 1:Market on the car park every Monday, so alternative parking required from Sunday evening
Review 2:Good sized room, nice pool, great breakfast. Helpful & friendly staff
Review 3:walk of 10 mn to the center is only for very good walkers, but no other hotel with better location except on the other side )Pizzomuno) but same problems - we always found a parking in the center.... breakfast in the restaurant 3rd floor with no possibilities of going outside (wind?)
Review 4:very helpfull personal parking in front of the hotel or in the big parking (free) good breakfast wunderfull beach just in front of hotel with very good restaurant (la bussola)
Review 5:Vieste is a beautiful medieval town on Puglia's Coast and unique that is has such lovely beaches also . Hotel Yria s location is excellent as you have the facilities of the beach and swimming pool and 5 mins walk into the old town .
Review 6:The wi-fi wasnt really working. The balcony was not very private, but thats pretty typical for such hotels..
Review 7:The hotel itself was very nice, it was new and pretty nicely furnished. We only stayed 2 nights and we were the last guests of the season (hotel closing on the 30th September). The breakfast was nice, service great, personell forthcomming. The hotel is ca 200 meters from the beach and walking distance to the city center. On Monday there was a typical Italian market in front of the hotel which was amazing. Be prepared if you want to see it, they open at early morning and close at noon.
Review 8:Beach towels not provided. Bicycles in poor state of repair.
Review 9:Large room overlooking pool and with view of seaside. Excellent breakfast buffet in penthouse room overlooking sea. Extremely helpful staff. Convenient to beach and centro historico.
Review 10:Wanted to book second night, price had gone up with almost 50%. Theysaid breakfast was served untill 10.30, we arrived at 9.45 and verylittle breakfast was left.
Review 11:Car can be parked safely in front of the hotel. Manager was friendly.
Review 12:The restaurant and bar had too limited opening times, drawing down the overall impression of the hotel.
Review 13:No luxury hotel but a centrally, convenient normal hotel with very friendly personnel in the reception. All key facilities offered.
Review 14:Very small room for three, bad internet
Review 15:Location, really 14 minutes to touristic center, Parking
Review 16:breakfast
Review 17:near the see, diner
Review 18:Location, food, the staff always nice.
Review 19:No wifi at all. TV didn't work, no channels. Breakfast poor selection.
Review 20:The location was good. Close to the town of Vieste.
Review 21:WiFi, didn't work properly
Review 22:Staff, nice and big room, breakfast.
Review 23:- distance from the beach - room's size - parking - location towards the city center
Review 24:Poor amenities only three star, 4 star rating absolute nonsense. Booked 3 nights left after 2 despite 24 hour notice refused to refund. Booking.com said we could change with 24hr notice so pls advise
Review 25:Reasonably clean OK location
Review 26:Location is very good... Hotel is new and clean... room was spacious with big balcomy facing side street and swimming pool... sea could also be seen ahead... Staff is friendly... wi-fi works well... car park is very good... located just in front of the hotel... you receive special key from the parking lot of the hotel... so parking is always closed... Breakfast is modest but as we learn it is typical for Italy:).
Review 27:Beds were very hard, but this seems to be every hotel we stayed in in Puglia.
Review 28:Great location opposite the beach. Parking across the road was convenient and always available. The room was clean and modern with a large furnished balcony to enjoy the sea view. Staff made bookings for us for other trips and arranged for our laundry to be done. 10 minute walk into the town was convenient. Breakfast was very good with plenty of fresh fruit on offer.
Review 29:We know that August is a high season in Italy, however the room prices are way too high (everywhere in Italy though) As a general piece of advise We believe that the room prices should be reviewed, In our particular case, this will be the last time we come for holidays in Italy during August. Not good value for money.
Review 30:Very nice hotel in front of the seaside (after a big parking area), however it is very quiet and the rooms are cozy with everything working properly. The staff is kinand they are willing to help in everything they can. walking distance to Vieste downtown so you can just park you car in front of the hotel (little fee applies) and you can just move by feet everywhere. The hotel has an agreement with the fron beach bathhouse (La bussola)(fee applies) where the staff is very efficient and the facilities are very confortable with a nice and big beach. Nice breakast.
Review 31:It is not a 4 star hotel!!! Swimming pool is small and ugly. Furniture in the rooms is ugly (not of a 4 star hotel), TV is very small and old, wifi in the room did not work. Breakfast was very bad: cakes, croissants, etc. were pre-made, coffe was terrible, fruit was of very poor quality. There is one internet point (just 1 pc) that did not work at all. Price of the room was too high for such low standars. I advice to look for another hotel!!!!
Review 32:Position in front of the beach and close to the center of Vieste.
Review 33:Great spot beachside car parking very good breakfast and dinner short walk to city centre and day trips on sea to see grottos along coast amazing only 3 hour round trip as well swimming far nicer than isle of Capri
Review 34:No complaints really a littlle later checkout would be better as 10am is a rush to be out of the room.
Review 35:Th hotel Staff were very helpful and friendly despite us having very few words of Italian. The breakfast was very good. We had dinner on one night which was excellent a great buffet of veg and salads with a pasta, maincourse and dessert also for 18 euro, we stayed 2 nights and when we left the manager had left a picnic of fruit, tart cake and water for our journey. Very thoughtful. We are Irish.
Review 36:Parking.. None of the hotels all lined next to each other including our hotel have parking. Opposite the hotel there is a huge, giant municipal car park were you can park your car for a daily charge.. The parking is not free for hotel residents but offers security surveillance at a charge. We were lucky to park in the street because the summer season had not started yet. Breakfast was minimal but good, apart from the coffee which was undrinkable.. We tried to take it in different ways for breakfast but it was still very burnt and bitter. The room was small but clean.. Very clean . But the bathroom lacked space not in the layout but in washing facilities.. No bath and shower cubicle was small that you have to squeeze yourself into.
Review 37:The hotel was new and very minimal in design and decor. Beautiful and bold. The area of the hotel is quite good because it is surrounded with other hotels all neatly lined up near each other. However you need a good ten minutes walk to get to the city center which is quite pleasant and well lit on the promenade road. The staff were all very helpful and ready to assist you in every need..
Review 38:Extras such as car park and beach use. Not able to get hot water for drinks, multo caldo appears to mean tepid.
Review 39:Pool side was pleasant and the breakfast quite good.
Review 40:The beds were, in my opinion, a little to hard and narrow!
Review 41:Location 250m from the waterline, a 2000m long nice beach and only 10 min walk to the city, by the way, a very nice Town! Nice room with a fridge, very good eqiped bathroom and balcony, facing north to the Sea, with chairs and table. Bikes and pool aviable for free! A very good breakfast with an excellent overlook VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFUL STAFF
Review 42:We travelled to Yria hotel at the end of September and it was alreadyvery quiet there - the bar downstairs was closed. There were few peoplein the hotel. Though the beach is very close to the hotel, the hotelitself is still quite far from the town center - it took us about 20mins to reach it on foot. And you will have to do it to have a decentdinner, if you don't want to always eat in the hotel. There are norestaurants/cafes close to the hotel, only in the center.
Review 43:The hotel is nice - the interior is cute and cozy, the lobby was verylarge and cute. Our room was renovated and big enough with a largebalcony. The bathroom was also very cosy and quite spacious. Breakfastsare quite extensive, tasty coffee made by the barman (all types ofcoffee), beautiful panoramic sea view from the dining room. Bicycles canbe rent for free any time - once we rode to the other part of the town -it was much fun! Very nice sandy beach is just near the hotel.
Review 44:Not much English spoken by hotel staff so requesting anything slightlyunusual was a challenge (really need a dictionary) but everything sortedout quickly. We stayed at the hotel at the end of the tourist season(hotel closed for winter on 1st October until May 2013) so hotel wasquiet (an advantage) but no bar or other facilities open. Could requestcoffee etc via reception, but had to go into town in the evening for adrink etc. That said, our stay at the hotel was great and very relaxing,if a little quiet.
Review 45:Modern clean hotel very close to wonderful beach where you get freesunbeds and umbrellas via a free hotel pass (others have to pay). Beachwas a large expanse of fine clean sand which gently slopes into theclear water sea. Hotel is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre ofVieste where there are excellent restaurants, cafes and a good selectionof traditional shops. Comfortable and spacious rooms with all thefacilities in the room you'd expect from a 4* Italian hotel. All roomshave a large balcony (with chairs and table) and see view. Friendly andhelpful reception/service staff. Hotel restaurant had good and plentifulfood for breakfast & evening meals. Good value meals/drinks with eveningmeal. Recommnded for a quieter and relaxing holiday/stay.
Review 46:Italian breakfrast, but hey we were in Italy. The pastries were really good. There was a reasonable selection, 3 kinds of cereal, yougurt, fresh fruit, a large selection of pastries, juices, sliced ham and cheese. It was way too hot for bacon and eggs.
Review 47:The staff were wonderful. They were really friendly. They went out of their way to be helpfull. We were at the pool and the lounge wasnt open so the receptionist brought us out drinks to the pool. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Lovely pool. There is a free umbrella and 2 lounge chairs at the beach nearby. An easy walk into town. Just across from the beach.

Review 55:Car parking is not on site, it is across the road in an open publicarea, security is doubtful.
