Reviews for Bellevue Groothoofd Hotel Culinair
Review 1:When we booked the suite, the picture showed a bath tub but there wasn't any tub in our room. Instead the shower was very ununconfortable and it had a awful smell. Not very clean.
Review 2:location
Review 3:Tremendous staff and a great room. Unbelievable view. Had a crib for our baby and treated us like old friends. Wonderful experience; can't wait to return.
Review 4:Limited amount of storage for such a large room. Only at tiny wardrobe, the size of a cleaning cupboard. The strange boutique hotel "bathroom arrangement" with the unpractical bathtub inside the actual room, without any shower curtain. Well, it looks nice, with the lights in the tub, but it is not very practical to use. But, the location, makes it almost worth it, with this unpractical bath.
Review 5:The location, practical for the Waterbus to Den Biesbosch, Kinderdijk and Rotterdam. Also the hotel lies spectacularly at the confluence of 3 rivers, with a large part of Europe's river goods transport, and other boats passing under your eyes as you eat your breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed, and bed linen. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Nice rooftop terass with view over the mentioned river confluence. Large room. Friendly and sympathetic staff. Plenty of riverfront restaurants close by. The nice breakfast room overlooking the rivers.
Review 6:Bed and pillows (too soft) Room a bit run down No normal seats (just very uncomfortable low seats) No coffee/tea in room
Review 7:Location Terrace View on river
Review 8:In the middle of January Dordrecht could be described as a little sleepy, but it is picture postcard pretty, almost spotless and so easy to get to and travel around. The staff of the hotel are wonderful, helpful and very nice. That could be said for every place that we visited in Dordrecht - where else in the world would a shopkeeper come out onto the street to offer a better map than the one we were studying and a personalised "You are here"! Include a Saturday in your visit to enjoy the bustle of the markets and the offer of a few nibbles from the stallholders along the way.
Review 9:It smells, not really clean so old, Very little bathroom, The staf was oke but not very helpfull in the restaurant slowly, slowly.
Review 10:The vieuw was exellent
Review 11:The friendly and attentive staff. You're made to feel welcome. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The river view is excellent. With the windows closed there is no noise from outside. With the curtains drawn, no light gets in, which for me makes excellent conditions for a good night's sleep.
Review 12:Totally weird light switches in the very good rooms! It's the only hotel I've ever stayed in where I cannot readily turn lights off! I end up taking the master card out to get a dark room to sleep at night! The hotel must be aware that it is an irritant to guests, but seem unwilling (or unable) to fix it. Wi-Fi is unstable or unobtainable on third floor whenever I stay. The breakfast offering is mediocre and overpriced. I don't take the breakfast anymore. For a 'gourmet' hotel they could do better in that respect. I sense that they don't regard the breakfast as part of their 'gourmet' offer. I still love the hotel.
Review 13:Location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Quiet. I work in France and visit my company headquarters in Papendrecht. The adjacent Water Bus gives me a five minute walk to my company site. The Water Bus is less than five minutes from the hotel. It is my ideal place! The only hotel in Papendrecht is a twenty five minute walk to my office! The lunch and evening meals are of excellent quality and warrant their gourmet rating. The waiting staff are eager to give help with the menu (which is in Dutch and English), and I enjoy the meals very much.
Review 14:Our room was a suite which was very nice except the windows were below eye hight so we had to be seated to see the view, and the room was up a half flight of stairs.
Review 15:The location was excellent. Close to good restaurants, and interesting little streets.
Review 16:as a dutch ausie we missed our coffie and tea making facilities which are in all our hotels in australia, also a continantal breakfast should be a option which was unavaible. thanking you.
Review 17:the vieuw was exellent and if we were in holland we would stay there again . 20 minute walk to station and love the markets twice a week .also the water bus was verry close to go to rotterdam thank you to all staff
Review 18:We would like to have had the ability to make or have coffee in our room in the morning. It was not clear whether you could have coffee from the downstairs restaurant if you did not buy breakfast there.
Review 19:We loved looking out over the water and the hotel in general.
Review 20:The light switches in the room are frustrating. No matter what I did I could not turn off my bedside light. The breakfast is very basic and not worth the €15 charge. It is probably not worth more than €5. For a so called Gourmet hotel, the breakfast is a big let-down.
Review 21:Location Helpful staff
Review 22:I couldn't get wi-fi to work for me. The 4 way light switches in the rooms are idiosyncratic.
Review 23:The location was good. The food is gourmet style and very good; it is also not for someone on a budget! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are airy and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. I will willingly stay at the hotel again
Review 24:The food was excellent
Review 25:I missed a chair in the room and a little table.,
Review 26:I like the decoration of he White Restaurant very much.
Review 27:no to helpfull
Review 28:Wifi in the rooms very bad!
Review 29:The bath room was in the sleeping room
Review 30:- nice room - nice view over the river - good breakfast, not cheap though
Review 31:. breakfast need a bit improving the buffets do not match the hotel excellency
Review 32:The hotel location the room and the staff are remarkable. The room we got was specious and beautiful with river view to remember. the bed was big and comfortable . We had a great stay and we will be back
Review 33:Breakfast was minimal and very expensive (15 euro's for a very basic buffet) and there was no hot water in the morning for a shower.
Review 34:The location of the hotel and the service offered was good.
Review 35:The staff is stiff and grumpy even a "hello" or a "good morning" does not happen, straight to the payment or checkin. Rude. They do not communicate at all with the guests. Restaurant is overrated, better go to the nearby Augustus restaurant. Design of this place is the most boring I've ever seen.
Review 36:The view is really nice and the rooms are practical and clean. The location is really nice and walking distance to the old city centre.
Review 37:The location in the historic center of Dordrecht is excellent. Very convenient to the Waterbus, and walking distance to the sites in the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We had a fantastic view of the rivers from our room.
Review 38:It is a beautifully decorated hotel with very comfortable beds. I would recommend this place to my friends. We stayed on the top floor and had a great view of the harbor.
Review 39:Noisy air vent in ensuite bathroom (room 1), breakfast looked a bit light.
Review 40:The location is absolutely fabulous on the banks on the rivers, terrace perfect for a drink after a long drive, the food was spot on too and very reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly let my leave car in car parking space while I walked to my business meeting in Dordrecht, Car park very handy.
Review 41:For a hotel charging 4* prices the breakfast was very poor. No choice at all for cereals other than cornflakes or fruit and fibre and no choices for cooked breakfast. I have eaten better in travel lodges! I couldn't work out how to have the light switch in the room, I spent 20 minutes trying tk switch off the bedside light without switching all the others back on! Not user friendly.
Review 42:Fantastic service from Rembrandt (apologies I think this was his name) who managed the resteraunt. He seemed to do everything from sorting out problems with my sisters room to spotting when to fill up the wine glasses. He is an absolute asset to your business. The bar area is lovely and we had a lovely meal in the a la carte lounge. The location and views were perfect. I really liked my room (301) which was comfortable and j slept really well.
Review 43:Small bathroom Not in the standard of your specify class hotel.
Review 44:Position and heritage renovated building but pity that renovation work is NOT done finely.
Review 45:Brilliant and friendly service - they let me stay until late in order tofinish my swimming race, without having to pay extra. Very good andstrong wifi. Nice ambience. Excellent beds!
Review 46:understaffed - no one at the reception for long periods, no public space for sitting, except the restaurants. limited breakfast considering it's a four-star hotel. large bath is situated in the bedroom
Review 47:Friendly staff, beautifully situated with panoramic views over the river, high-class restaurant
Review 48:No shower in the room Was booked under the auspices that the account hadbeen paid for by the company however that was not to be the case. Thiscould be embarrasing for a person with limited finances. Not sure ifthis is a Booking.com restriction rather than the hotel.
Review 49:The room was nice and comforable. The bar and restaurant were extremelycomfortable and appealing.
Review 50:Suites (other than Presidential Suites) only have showers. Important to know if you like a bath! The staff accommodated me though and moved us to a room with a bath.
Review 51:The friendly staff really made an effort to accommodate me in a room of my choice. I had booked a suite room, but was told when I got there that the suites (other than the Presidential Suite) only had showers. They made an effort to put us into the neighbouring apartment block which they also use for long/ short stays so I could have a bath! The suite I saw (before moving!) was beautifully decorated in a modern style. The room we stayed in was perfect! A nice comfortable queen sized bed; large windows; small "kitchen" in a cupboard (which we didn't get to use) and a small jet bath (just what I needed!)
Review 52:Looked a bit tired. Service wasn't really very evident.. Not bad but just not really anyone visible around generally. Blackout blinds in the bedroom windows but not the bathroom which had no door and opened directly into the bedroom
Review 53:The view and location The room was a very good size
Review 54:It's a tiny bit run-down, and the breakfast was not really worth the15 euros, but I recommend it nonetheless.
Review 55:It was a lovely room with a pleasant view and an excellent location. Inaddition the staff was quite helpful and professional.
Review 56:We were disappointed with our stay as we were expecting more professional service and better views of the waterways. The design of the hotel seemed geared to the conference rooms or the restaurant as these had the best views.
Review 57:Wonderful location beside the rivers and harbour of Dordrecht in a beautiful historic building.
Review 58:smaller rooms than other hotels would prefer buffet breakfast starting a little earlier maybe 0630hrs
Review 59:location near to town good decoration excellent staff
Review 60:Wifi does not reach all rooms in hotel
Review 61:Staff went that bit further to help out
Review 62:Book taxi in advance in the morning.
Review 63:Fantastic view.
Review 64:Bathroom, black decor, poor WIFI coverage, no tea and coffee making facilities.
Review 65:Location, views, breakfast, beds
Review 66:Location friendly staff
Review 67:The basic breakfast
Review 68:The view of the River, lift access from the pavement and parking arrangements. The Staff were also very helpful.
Review 69:location, pleasant atmosphere
Review 70:The color of the rooms: black as if you entered a coffin
Review 71:The location
Review 72:Too cold in the room, bathroom is open and too cold too. Air condition doesn't wark to warm the room
Review 73:Location, view from the hotel's room
Review 74:Price is over the top. I have stayed in hotels much Cheaper offering thesame Comfort including breakfast
Review 75:Clean room. Comfortable bed.
Review 76:Excellent little hotel, I enjoyed my short stay.
