Reviews for Innercity Hotel

Review 1:Main light and tv in the room were working intermittendly, probably as a result of the key card not fitting too well in the designated slot.

Review 2:Location is great and breakfast is good. Friendly staff.

Review 3:its an old apartment billding that was convert in to hotel. not all the lights in the room is working, very dark. very cold at night. old bilding, old lift, strange old staris. strange shower and think. no one in the resapition

Review 4:price Too expensive!! should cost 40-45 euro, not 80!!

Review 5:Not a "bad experience" but a couple of small shelves and a handle in the shower would have been very useful.

Review 6:Very convenient for Dordrecht railway station and thus visits to other Dutch cities; on the edge of historic oldest city in Holland region of The Netherlands; friendly and helpful staff and a terrific brekfast.

Review 7:no one was about when I tried to check in bed was not very comfortable bathroom was black and gloomy despite automatic lights cupboards were metal and noisy

Review 8:location - quite close to station and not far from city centre breakfast selection better thn expected

Review 9:I did not like that the elevator did not have a sensor on the door. I felt the bed was too soft and moved too easily when you sat down on it.

Review 10:The staff was very friendly. The location was great, close to city center.

Review 11:The mirror above washbasin (very strange and uncomfortable) beds aredividing when you sleep, once I have fallen between Wardrobe is cool, but very noisy

Review 12:Simple

Review 13:Would be nice if the hotel would check if their clients have stayed before; & greet them with a "Welcome back". Small touches which make such a difference!

Review 14:Stayed there before. Good location.

Review 15:We arrived early due but unfortunately the hotel staff were unable to offer storage for our bags so we were unable to see anything of Dordrecht from 8am to 14.00 when the room was made available.

Review 16:Obviously location was a big plus. The rooms were clean and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was very good.

Review 17:The bath cabin walls were not properly cleaned The floor is not properly fixed, therefore a lot of noise can be produced when you walk on it.

Review 18:Nice staff, fine breakfast, close to the railway station

Review 19:Everything in my room was grey. The carpet, the walls, the furniture (apart from one green chair), you name it it was grey. Depressing! The "wardrobe" was a (grey) steel cabinet which would have been more at home in a police force locker room. The bed was uncomfortable and I kept losing the (single) pillow because it didn't even have a headboard. A really poor room, probably more suitable for housing convicts than holidaymakers!

Review 20:The hotel is centrally located and very handy for the bus and rail stations, the historic Old Town and the Waterbus. The bar serves good bottled beer at a reasonable price.

Review 21:The hotel is minimally staffed. Entry to check in was by intercom and there didn't seem to be anyone around most of the time. Checking was consisted of wandering around the ground floor to find some one to whom to give my room key. The room was OK with a rather unconventional layout and the lighting was odd. It was OK for a one night business trip but not longer

Review 22:Convenient location with an easy walk from the station and also convenient for the town centre. The room was comfortable and the breakfast good with a decent range of hot and cold food. Good value for money despite issues stated.

Review 23:This is my third stY and I can see lots of detoriaratio. The Internet is very bad as you need to reconnect every two minutes. I stayed five nights and the floor was not vacuumed and the walls need repair

Review 24:The lication of this hotel is perfect as it is centered between the train station and the old town. The stuff are helpfu and breakfast is nice

Review 25:...As it was my 4th or 5th stay I noticed the quality is slipping down abit. I did stay this time for 3 nights and problems occured thru out mystay. 1St day I saw behind toilette that the floor was left quite"greasy"...almost as some cleaning liquid semi dried on thefloor, not being mopped properly - it looked gross...I Left note tocleaning lady. It was better next days from this respect. A fan on wcwas on all the time and did not stop on timer - no switcher available. The fan running 24/7 sucked out all warm air thru the night and madethe wc floor ice cold - so did the room. Morning I asked the fan to beswitched off completely. When I came at night back from business dinnerthe fan still ran and nobody from maintenance available. I used sweaterand socks to sleep warm. I asked again next morning, but again nothinghappened thru the day. I managed to put the heating on full and airtight the wc door with towels... Last - the 3rd - morning for change theshower did not have a hot or at least warm water - just ice cold - so totake a shower before business meeting was impossible! - they told me, itis unfortunately only in my room, which was a lie as my colleague inroom on different floor did not have any warm water either that morning. The "last straw" was a simple request of slice of lemon to gowith my Earl Gray tee... 1St morning: did not have any, I asked for somefor next day as I told them we will stay 3 days...promise was made to usthat they will order it. Fair enough. 2Nd day: no lemon, but good news!:It was ordered. 3Rd day: no lemon, but good news!!: It will be deliveredin next order....; Please understand that there is a spar supermarketaround the corner...if they said first morning we can't get youone...I Would just buy one myself after the first breakfast.....; Alsothey state that for hygienic reason, the bread is wrapped, each slice, into foil...

Review 26:It was my 4th or 5th stay in last 2 years and again the young stafftried to be always helpful and pleasant. They managed to change my roomafter check-in, when I realized room given to me is not designed to stayfor 3 nights or designed to open a wardrobe, or to hang coat and jacketsomewhere. I was given second room, which space-wise fit perfect. Alsowe asked for late check out last day (after business meeting) and it wasnot a problem...(maybe also because there was enough other problems thatmorning...) Young staff pleasant, but not succeeding obviously withsenior managers (invisible thru all our stay)

Review 27:Bed in room 1.3 is way too soft. My back hurt really bad. I weigh about 90 kg so bed is ok for someone light but someone 80 kg or more, bed is way too soft.

Review 28:Very stable wifi. Able to stream videos easily. Location is fantastic. Secure. Need key card to get into building and stairs. Good breakfast selection.

Review 29:Very soft mattress.

Review 30:centrally located, 5 mins walk from train station. Nice breakfast, including cereals, cold cuts and cooked breakfast. Elevator. Had shower cubicle and bath.

Review 31:No refrigerator in the room to store food and drinks.

Review 32:Near to the central railway station about 8 mins walk from hotel. Location also near to the square with restaurants, boutiques and supermarket available. Polite and helpful staffs.

Review 33:The single bed had one thin mattress on top of a thicker one - it felt quite wobbly, like being on a pile of pillows. The other room we had had one mattress and was more steady. Sleep was fine in both cases.

Review 34:The layout of the rooms was highly functional and efficient, as well as attractive in a minimalist way, with lots of good lighting - which was not really too difficult to figure out. Breakfast was great.

Review 35:I got bed bug bites all over my arm. The first morning there was no hot water. The breakfast was not great, the scrambled eggs were dry and there was limited choice. The carpet in the room was worn. There is no light switch at the door so its pitch black when you walk in the room at night and its a stupid idea to have to use the tv remote to turn on the light. Why can't you just have a simple switch?

Review 36:I didn't like anthing about it

Review 37:no access to the outside before 7 am in the morning. I am an early riser and a smoker and could not get outside to smoke before 7 am when catering staff came in.

Review 38:close to where I needed to be and also handy for city of Dordrecht.

Review 39:The room felt very much like a youth hostel, especially the aluminiumlockers which functioned as wardrobes. The shower was good, except thebasin filled up very quickly so you couldn't stay in it for morethan three minutes or so. It was very expensive for what you got.

Review 40:This hotel was located very close to the train station. The breakfastwas quite good. The beds were comfortable, although more/betterpillows are needed.

Review 41:Wifi has a few dead zones in the building, I had to sit by my rooms door to have a weak signal but in the lobby it was fine. There is no place to sit in the single rooms except on the bed.

Review 42:Very short walk to train station. Staff is friendly and breakfast was excellent.

Review 43:Bins weren't emptied regularly and bed sheets weren't changed regulary

Review 44:Dim light in the room

Review 45:Clean room, good breakfast, polite staff.Ask

Review 46:Prepared packed lunches for me because I left for work before breakfast. Trying to book again but booking.com telling me its full ?

Review 47:Elevator very slow.

Review 48:Location close to city center

Review 49:Decent location, decent breakfast.

Review 50:Room can be better.

Review 51:Very good location, walking distance to train station. And walking distance to centre of town.

Review 52:Could do with a bit more wardrobe space and something to stop mattress from slipping on bed..

Review 53:Staff very helpful.Room clean and tidy.

Review 54:Room very small. bed uncomfortable and pillow was terrible

Review 55:location

Review 56:Friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent location.

Review 57:Very comfortable with superb shower and bed. Breakfast basic but fine

Review 58:Clean and tidy, good breakfast, reasonably priced.

Review 59:Nothing

Review 60:I liked everything, from the breakfast to the TNT home

Review 61:Breakfast did not start early

Review 62:Excellent location. Single room very comfortable and had everything required for a short stay

Review 63:nothing

Review 64:The hidden beauty of Dordrecht, spacious design bathroom, excellent breakfast

Review 65:Top mattress slid off bed

Review 66:Breakfast

Review 67:Beds a bit too soft for our liking.

Review 68:Clean large bath and shower room. A covered area to park our bicycles.

Review 69:Location

Review 70:I would have preferred a secure Wi-Fi connection

Review 71:The people. All of the staff were really welcoming.

Review 72:The fact, that only one power-point was available.

Review 73:The location, very near the NS-railway station. And also close to the city centre.

Review 74:See opposite

Review 75:Small rooms with strange facilities and terrible beds

Review 76:Room was quite small.

Review 77:Staff friendly & helpful. Good location. Car parking in the rear

Review 78:The hotel is close to the city center. They also have a parking on the back side. God breakfast.

Review 79:No king size bed

Review 80:Staff, healthy breakfast, room, bathroom

Review 81:nice hotel in city centre area was quiet , modern and clean, staff helpfull and breakfast was fresh.

Review 82:For a last minute accommodation it was a good choice. Very centrally located as well.

Review 83:Everything was wonderful. Nothing we didn't like.

Review 84:Location, room

Review 85:Special mention of the breakfast lady who was extra friendly and helpful. I will certainly book this hotel again in the future.

Review 86:There was absolutely nothing that I could reasonably find fault with.

Review 87:I was there as a single traveller. The room was fine, but a little spartan. Excellent walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast was very good, and included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and baked beans, as well as all the usual cold meats and cheeses. I would definitely use this hotel again!

Review 88:the remote control overhead lighting. The staff did not draw to our attention how to turn it off or advise that we read the instructions. We stayed one night and arrived rather late. Only next morning did we discover how to turn off the light without pulling out the card/key.

Review 89:The bathroom which was v large, had a full size bath tub and separate shower.

Review 90:The light fitting switch for over the bed which was not easy to access when lying in bed. The wash basin tap was finnicky to use. It was not clear how one got warm water and the throughput control was very sensitive. Both of us had a wet front at least once.

Review 91:As has been said before, the remote control for the bedroom lighting takes a bit of working out, but we got there in the end!

Review 92:Perfect location. Easy access to the centre of town and also a short walk from the train station. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming, breakfast is varied and well presented. I couldn't imagine spending lots of time in the hotel, it's certainly a 'no frills' establishment but for those using it as a base from which to do other things or for a short/overnight stay I would find it hard to find anything wrong with it at all. Our stay was comfortable and trouble free.

Review 93:Very basic facilities. Small room. Could hear people in adjacent rooms (walking on creaky floor, coughing). Payment demanded in advance at check-in. No staff on desk at check-out, give key to people in breakfast area. No restaurant. Steep and narrow metal spiral stair (noisy). Not level access to lift on ground floor (difficult for elderly people with cases). Very cramped access past desk to steps down to lift and breakfast area. Very much help yourself breakfast - get your own everything. Felt overpriced for what you got. Strange room layout with sink in room, not in toilet or shower cubicles. Plain glass outside window on 1st floor, so no privacy unless curtain is closed.

Review 94:Close to station. Easy to find.

Review 95:The hotel is definitely not dirty but I was not impressed by the cleaning personnel: - Upon arrival, a plugged in (but switched off) vacuum cleaner had been left in the corridor where it stayed overnight. -Shower gel had not been replaced the first day although it was clearly empty. -Towels had not been replaced on the second day although they were clearly not left hanging. -A t-shirt (not mine) had been placed on the chair in my room on the third day. Despite this, the hotel staff were very helpful when I asked by shower gel and towels. One morning, the hot water had run out. Water didn't flow down the shower drain very well. I reported this issue but the show cabinet kept filling up with water during the week. I resorted to showering with lower pressure.

Review 96:The hotel is very near the train station and the city centre (supermarket and shops). The hotel offers very reasonably priced rooms. The reception staff were friendly and available.

Review 97:Too tight room. Light in the room is "cheap" and looks uncomfortable

Review 98:Location is prima! Only 2 minutes to railway station. Breakfast is good enough.

Review 99:Teh lighting in teh rooms is controlled by a remote control handset like a TV remote. MY room had one which didn't seem to work, with the result that I slept with the lights on. If I turned the main power off, then I could not charge my phone.... The desk in the room was also quite small, and lacked a light over it for working, and a power socket close by for laptop etc. That said, the bed was comfortable, and the shower cubicle provided a good experience.

Review 100:This hotel is a short walk (200m) from the railway station, making it convenient for travellers arriving by train. It is also very close to the centre of the city, with a wide variety of shop and restaurants.

Review 101:They have separate beds and the beds shift away from each other easily. Wen you want to sleep together with your partner, you steadily slip in between the beds. The lighting is also very harsh and bright: again not so romantic.

Review 102:Clean rooms, good breakfast, perfect location! I would recommend it for business travelers that want to be close to the inner city and station.

Review 103:Not much to complain. I just wish the showers do have also "strong" stream flow option, aside the rainforrest rain. But that is easy to fix. There is not classic reception. Minibar or fridge is missing after 23.00 bar closes.

Review 104:The receptionist and bar staff is very pleasant and basically still there anyway there is not classic reception. I wonder why there is not a "normal" reception made for them in the left corner of restaurant - on the mainstreet side. These tables are never taken and the rest of the restaurant is large enough considering it can be exposed just during breakfast. The hotel will look more "pro" with it and the staff will not hang around restaurant with their laptop on tables. I am giving the young staff ****stars - you give them a "normal" reception desk. Good hotel. I keep coming back for several times now.

Review 105:- shower basin in our room was too shallow, so the water was leaking out to the carpet

Review 106:- comfortable beds - good location, very close to the city center - parking behind the hotel

Review 107:I've stayed multiple times at this hotel and have always enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good and the rooms are comfy enough for people who do not spend a lot of time in their hotel room (like me). I also like that they keep developing their property. Small things, like hooks to hang towels on and bigger things, such as creating more parking space in their backyard. Finally, there is security the whole night, which gives a sense of safety to the guests.

Review 108:This time per 2 nights was not good price offer, also we needed 2 rooms. We had to stay 1st night on the airport hotel and moved to DordrechtInnercity hotel just for 2nd night of our business trip. The price for 1night and 2 rooms was better then 2 night 2 rooms...that is a bit anti-business approach. Even I stayed second time - I was missing more"idiot prove" manual in room how to set up the light-electricin room by the remote control. Shower is relaxing, but plastic watertemperture control was broken and required physical strenght to make theshower not that hot. Also option to set from "rain forrest" tostronger stream would be good. Room should have minibar - or atleastempty fridge. To "cheap" toalet paper - non wife would by thisone. Breakfast had only one little problem-slice of lemon was notavailable even not on request - therefor Earl Gray tee can't bedrink as supposed to. Back door from parking is missing a room keysensor. Due to balcony (fire escape) connecting all rooms and hallways, there should be considered a trezor for size of laptop fit in on eachroom. All what I did not like are easy things to fix. I am lookingforward my next stay and see the improvements

Review 109:It was my second stay. First time I spent 2 nights and liked it. Theprice for 1 night and 2 rooms was good, according what hotel offers(does not offer) I like the location, easy parking in the back. Nicerooms Design, wifi connection, relaxing shower, tee and coffee on theroom, nice soft towels, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Good system withdigital card and secure access to hotel, elevator and rooms. All what Idid not like are easy things to fix. I am looking forward my next stayand see the improvements.

Review 110:cleanliness was just above acceptable with dirty bed linen and dust at visible places ceiling was leaking while shower in the room above was used thin walls

Review 111:early check in with no extra fee within walking distance of the train station and the historical town center yummy breakfast well designed rooms with modern appeal

Review 112:The shower is difficult, but fortunately the water did not seep into the bedroom. The rooms are small but comfortable. Didn't like the "industrial" type of steel wardrobe.

Review 113:Great staff, very clean and quiet, central location, great breakfasts. Excellent value for money.

Review 114:No reading light in the room.

Review 115:Very clean hotel. Small room but very large shower. Breakfast OK. Good value for the money and close to the train station.

Review 116:The duty manager telling us that our room had been cleaned when we knew it had not. It was our request for fresh towels that annoyed him (I think).

Review 117:Location Most staff Breakfast and bar Facilities in room Easy access and free parking

Review 118:As I am not staying in hotels very often I have not much to compare my stay in this hotel with. I think it is good, the beds are good . The shower and toilets are clean and work well. The breakfast (free) is very good!! Lot of choice of different foods etc. Self service.

Review 119:My single room was more design than user friendly. e.g.I could not spit my toothpaste in the basin without banging my head on the unnecessary cupboard. Using a hand control to operate some of the lighting was not user friendly. I had to get out of bed to reach the high level reading light switch.

Review 120:Location, on-site free parking, breakfast

Review 121:Certain members of staff could have been a bit more helpful and offeredto find out information instead of simply replying "I don'tknow".

Review 122:The hotel is very close to the station and a gym (it is posssible to usethe gym when you stay at the hotel).

Review 123:Run more like a really good youth hostel than a hotel with no staff at the front desk - at all - even mid-day. You need to ring for them.

Review 124:good location, comfortable and clean rooms, fair price

Review 125:Unfortunately wifi was not working during our stay. Bin hadn't been emptied and beds too soft. Not as good as we'd expected.

Review 126:Quiet, good location.

Review 127:The room has not been cleaned. The rubish has not been emptied. The bed has not been made. The shower gel and shampoo has not been filled up. The touwle which was lying on the ground has not been replaced....but the cleaningstaff was in the room! Therefore the price is to high for what you get.

Review 128:Close by from the Centrum

Review 129:Sink in bedroom itself Shower not seperate or private Staff completely unhelpful and apathetic No way to turn off shower light No staff after 5.30pm The room was so wonky you couldnt sleep on the beds the right way up Terrible value for money

Review 130:The place was clean

Review 131:Unable to get a drink at the small bar as the bar had closed early!

Review 132:The room was fine and clean with flatscreen tv and tea makingfacilities (a big plus). The bathroom was excellent. Self servicebreakfast was included and was good. Very convenient for the trainstation and town centre.

Review 133:Almost everything else. Temperature in the room was about 14°c(impossible to heat it up). Staff was far from being friendly. Beddingwas very inconfortable (specially the pillow). Breakfast was presentednicelly but was very few in quantity (a unique ham slice cut in 4 piecesfor the whole hotel, maybe they would add more if it was finished?). Thehotel was very modern but unpractical: to have an idea, to switch on themain light, you have to: croos the room in the dark, read theinstruction on a paper, take the tv remote control, point to the sensorand press "on" then "1". A simple switch on the wallis less modern but so much practical!

Review 134:The hotel is "Design" although lacks of personality

The Fine Print
