Review 2：İf you visit Mauritus for The first time and you want to relax it is definetelly right place to go İt is residence where you feel comfortable and they are The guys Ash wan and Aki who feels you as you are in home Beachs are nice espicially Bella mare near The residence ,There are lots of beaches where you can enjoy and get satisfied

Review 4：This a self-catering accommodation. There are several small general stores next door and even one right downstairs by the same owners. It is also a family-owned business and the whole family is just lovely and very helpful. One day when all restaurants were closed they offered me food, another day they offered me their home cooked goat dish to try and on NYE they organized a BBQ with drinks at no charge! The apartments are huge too consisting of a queen bed, closet, fridge, TV, A/C, small kitchen and the bathroom. The location is great if you are planning to go to ile aux cerfs since you can just walk down to the public beach where the boats depart.

Review 5：Spotless clean unit. Great value. Two bedroom unit with kitchen and bathroom. Fairly comfortable living space. Kitchen was a little under equipped with pans and cutlery but overall great stay! Not far from a great beach. Loved it!

Review 8：Very friendly & helpful host. Exceptional services. E.g.: When we came we were warm welcomed with some traditional sweets & drinks. In the first night (was raining) the host gave us a ride by his own car to a good restaurant. If you need anything the host will try to help to resolve the issue. Thank you Aki.

Review 10：The Golden Shell Residence,the best I've ever been.The name says it all.Great accommodation,the hospitality second to none without exaggeration.I feel like now I have a new family.Aki,is such an accomplished young man.Thorough in everything he does.The whole family lovely people.I will definitely go back.I know that I have got friends for life.

Review 12：If you're looking for everyday life in a Mauritian sea side village, walking/driving/cycling distance from the east coast beaches, at a friendly price, this is the place for you. Basic, spacious apartment, very friendly family (son Aki is your contact) helpful and aiming to improve your stay, easy travel by bus to different parts of the island, beautiful large stretches of beach with all sorts of trees (yes, palm trees too) and a laid back little village with small supermarket, local food stalls/restaurants and ATM. (If you like, Aki can arrange bike borrow and/or car rental and excursions by car or catamaran, but no pressure, they let you be)

Review 18：The residence is a family business and they are all very friendly and helpful. If you are on a budget, this is a great place to stay, basic, simple and clean. Aki, the one whom we corresponded is a young, cheery and lovely guy. Very on top of things. He arranged to pick us up from our hotel in the North West to his residence at reasonable price, and also the transport to the airport. Trou d'Eau Douce is a communal melancholic village but a good base for the whole day catamaran boat trip to Ile Aux Cerfs Island for Rs1500 each with lunch and all drinks included. We really enjoyed ourselves. The seafood platter at nearby restaurant, next to the police station at Rs1800 for 1 person and more than enough for 2 of us to share. And there is another good and cheap restaurant opposite the police station served grilled fish at Rs300 with salad and bread. Very good and fresh. We are very pleased with our stay there.

Review 20：Wonderful hosts. They went out of the way to help with our needs. The property is well maintained and has all the facilities as mentioned on their page (Some of these like washing machine are not in the apartment but available for all apartments on a common basis). I would like to mention that this is a budget property and expecting 5 star facilities at budget rates is being unfair. Having said that, the kind of service we got from the hosts, I doubt even the 5 star hotels will provide.

Review 21：What a wonderful find. Aki, just 18 years old, is putting his heart and soul into this place and is doing a magnificent job. Lovely warm welcome with drinks and free porterage, he provides an excellent description of the facilities and local attractions, free bookings of trips to Ile aux Cerfs ( you gotta go) with free personal transportation to and from the boats. No sea views but lovely balcony over the street provides a wonderful "people-gazing" experience of the local inhabitants.Excellent service for a three star accommodation and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Close to two very nice restaurants and a fully-stored supermarket on site. Thank you Also On-site Locked up car parking
