Reviews for Affittacamere PZ

Review 1:Outside the main town. If you are on foot, make sure you arrive in Vernazza before 6 Last shuttle (inexpensive, good service) to take you right to door leaves at that time. After that, you will probably need a taxi

Review 2:Enjoyed very much the family that runs the B & B Clean, modern room and nice house Beautiful view in morning

Review 3:Everything is great (including view) but if you are arriving lately to Vernazza without a car take a taxi. The place is hour and a half by walk from city centre/

Review 4:Accessibility to venue not that great. Last bus to venue is 18:50 which does not allow you too much leisure time in the small town, shops and to have a nice dinner. Cost of taxi's are crazy should you require pick up outside bus times!

Review 5:Beautiful place with the most wonderful view! Staff very friendly and helpful - thank you Julia for all your help and trouble in finding us a taxi for early morning!

Review 6:The GPS took us up through back roads and "goat tracks" to get there, the GPS has trouble locating the main roads throughout this area (very common occurrence - saw several cars looking at phones - trying for find there location) .... A greater PDF map showing instructions is needed. Also the property is not well marked, very difficult to find, especially at night.... Well lit signs at the top at the entrance is well and truly required. Language barrier a little awkward and eftpos payment not working

Review 7:The property is beautiful, the interior decorating is just lovely. The views over the ocean are incredible. The property was very relaxing and very well refurbished.

Review 8:Rather pricy (breakfast is not included in the room price), for those without car and not planning to hike up the hills location will be hard to reach (not a problem for us, we loved this remote location), no restaurants or shops around (again was not a problem for us, we grabed some food on the way and enjoyed it on the terras with a stunning view over the hills an sea), wifi is poor

Review 9:Beautifully decorated room, stunning views, away from the usual crowds on the seaside, 2 mins from the AV5T trail, nice stuff, delicios breakfast

Review 10:If you don't have a car, you must not book at this guesthouse. It is not located in Vernazza, but in Drignana which is 4.5 kms up on the mountain overlooking Vernazza. It makes a spectacular hike, but not with suitcases...

Review 11:Breakfast was excellent, the views are stunning!

Review 12:We thought it was within walking distance to village ( we had no car), which we were led to believe by web site. Very few options to get from train to facility.

Review 13:Facility was beautifully decorated.

Review 14:The location is remote - which provided a good view, but required a 20minute drive to reach a town. It was hard to find, but the map onBooking.com is accuate

Review 15:The view was great. The people were friendly.

Review 16:I would have loved a room with a view - ours didn't have any. Make sure to ask for one when you book.

Review 17:The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 18:The location was inconvenient. The WiFi was very poor. The breakfast was expensive for coffee and bread. The towels, were terrible. They were more like a tablecloth than a towel. Soft, fluffy towels are preferred with a washcloth included.

Review 19:The people were wonderful and friendly.

Review 20:The location is terrible and not described on the website that it is impossible to get to without a car. There are no taxis in Vernazza to take you to the resort and the staff speak little English

Review 21:The place itself was lovely with a beautiful view

Review 22:The View was breathtaking, Staff very accommodating, Facility very clean. Julia was a wonderful help. The owners even gave us a ride to the train station.

Review 23:A little pricey. You will need a car to get here. They requested that we check in by 6pm which didn't work for us at all and cut our day short considering the long drive up the hill to find the place. It is very isolated and a long drive from Vernazza and Monterosso, but good if you want to be isolated.

Review 24:Beautiful place with a beautiful view.

Review 25:Dinner is problematic, unless you have a car. The last bus from Vernazza leaves at 6:50, with doesn't allow time for dinner, and there is no dinner available on or around the property.

Review 26:Very quiet with great view from the patio. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Review 27:There are only 4 buses a day, so makes travelling back to the hotel limited to 7pm if you don't have a car.

Review 28:I liked the walk into town, but for some people this may be too far, this was part of my reason for staying there

Review 29:Breakfast could have something besides croissant (which was wonderful) for someone who doesn't eat sugar.

Review 30:Excellent terrace for relaxation and reading; room was very nice and had a little shared office with printer just outside.

Review 31:Uneven road to Vernazza and the property. No signs. No directions. We had a problem with our car during the trip and we couldn't reach the house. We called to inform the property but we were charged in any case. Never again. Very bad experience.

Review 32:This hotel is difficult to find in spite of GPS coordinates, by lack of of simple sign telling you "here it is". Staff should tell customers how to park the car if the 3 places hotel car park is full (in fact, the rule is "anywhere even on the side of the road"). The superb touristic site of Cinque Terre is very tricky to access, due to an incredible number of cars with respect to very small driving and parking space. As a result, the hotel staff should give customers precise information on how the deal with access to the closest villages: Actually, the best is to drive to a free country car park at Colle di Gritta, leave the car, and wait for the small city bus taking you to Monterosso.

Review 33:Beautiful location and view over valley and sea. Room nice and very clean. Friendly staff.

Review 34:Location. Was unable to find with the TomTom or any other GPS. They state there are in Vernazza, but is actually about 25min away from there. They are just in Vernazza Region, middle of no where.

Review 35:Nice views from the terrace. Family business.

Review 36:Location is not convenient if you want to visit Vernazza or the Cinque Terre area. Staff are of no help in trying to solve the problem of transport. Luckily we drove our own car to get there but their parking area was full. No good suggestion of where to park that did not put your car in danger on the small Italian roads. We were told there was no way to get to Vernazza except to walk, wait for a bus that only comes every 3 hours or drive to the neighbouring town. We were also told there would be no taxi's in Vernazza which was not necessarily true. They were not able to call a taxi for us and could only suggest getting one from a neighbouring town. If you do drive your own car down to Vernazza, beware there will be no parking, which means you will get a 50 EUR parking fine. The staff were not interested in making your stay a pleasant one or helping you with basic traveller needs, like getting around, seeing the local area etc. It's almost like they expected you to stay in your room for the whole time and not go anywhere to see anything.

Review 37:The room was clean, which just about stopped us from leaving.

Review 38:the personnel could not speak english. Could not buy anything to drink or eat when we arrived in the evening at 7 pm

Review 39:Great hotel, it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The rooms were very clean and tidy, everything seemed kind of new. The staff was very helpful

Review 40:The hotel is on the top of the mountain. It's tooooo difficult for walkers to get to the hotel.

Review 41:The Hotel owners are sooooo nice. They waited us until 24 o'clock und offered us many helps to get to the hotel. The next time if I drive a car I will also choose this hotel!

Review 42:Pay attention to take your car if you want to visit all cinque terre, especially for Levanto and PortoVenere. Otherwise you can go to Vernazza with the mini bus provided for the structure and then take the train or the boat to go in the other villages (check the timings because the bus is not working in the evening!)

Review 43:It is really an amazing place, we saw each morning the beautiful landscape from our balcony: green and rocky hills and the distant sea with passing boats :-) The place is relaxing, quiet, silent, the room are modern and very well designed, all the furniture were clean and pleasant, they have a good taste on it :-) they gave us a bottle of water every day, we found them really nice people. The place is international with many people coming from everywhere, we think to come back to this structure next year :-) I suggest you to take the super breakfast with home made cakes looking at the superb panorama on the terrace! :-) Another bonus: have a look to the night sky it is possible to see all the bright stars and the milk way!

Review 44:Hospitality of owners, even they can not speak English well. Use you Google translator that help you a lot. Room is comfort. I like the night view here. Turn your face to the sea, and get some beer. Perfect! The perfect place, if you have car, and do not rely on GPS, because it will bring you the narrow road. Study/Understand the route first.

Review 45:It was impossible to find, it is supposed to be a hotel and the lastcheck in is 6pm although they did stay later but it was an absolutenightmare to try to find this place. No map on the website, no sign onthe road, phoned about 8 times asking for an address or something thatthe gps would understand - she just told us to go to Vernazza but theplace is not in Vernazza, it is about 12km beforehand on windy dangerousroads - so we had to drive all the way back - they need to explain whereit is, get a gps address that works or have something more than"umph" to say when you are completely incapable of giving anysort of coherent directions. Although the next morning the view wasbeautiful and they were polite, it was a very stressful and horriblejourney to get there uneccessarily. If you are running hotel businessthen you need to be able to tell people or signpost where you are!!! Iwould not reccomend staying here to anyone. Once we did finally arrive(3 hours later than expected due to their lack of directions or properaddress) it was past 10pm and they do not offer any food, or give anyrecommendation of where you might be able to eat - this was very unkindand infuriating after an 8 hour drive in total. Do not bother stayinghere, it is not worth the hassle!

Review 46:The view

Review 47:Very difficult to find. We could not locate it with the directions given from booking.com and the gps didn't locate it and at the last minute, we tried putting sp 51 and drignana in the gps and it took us near it. We saw a place up the hill from the drignana sign and we were going to stop to ask where we were and it was our place to stay!

Review 48:We loved the mountaintop view, the beautiful terraces, the flowers. Such a beautiful place. The staff did not speak much English but were wonderful. We were served a breakfast of cappuccino, cakes, croissants and juice for 5 euros on the patio each morning. Rooms were very clean.

Review 49:You MUST have a car. We got out at the Vernazza train station and had to get back on the train to go to Monterosa and take a ( harrowing ) taxi ride for 30 Euro and had no way to get around...

Review 50:Our host made us a beautiful dinner on the deck with a fabulous view...and the room was lovely.

Review 51:Internet did not work and it was a bit far from the nearest city (La Spezia), about 40 minutes drive soif you run out of supplies that is a problem

Review 52:Very clean nice room with a large bathroom

Review 53:If you travel without car, you will starve. The breakfast is also very poor for 5€

Review 54:Peaceful place, kind people, nice room, beautiful view. It' s just a wonder.

Review 55:A bit far from Vernazza you need to take a bus and we would have liked to stay by the seaside a little later in the day if there was a later bus it would have been nice ( 18h45)was last so eating out was a slight issue

Review 56:They take pride in their place ! Made stay pleasant Breath of fresh air with lovely views

Review 57:Did not realize that this room is so high up. The picture is deceiving. We walked down and took us an hour and 15 minutes and we are in goodshape. You must have a car. There is nothing around but this hotel.Nothing. The town in very cute. Wifi didn't work.

Review 58:The staff were so welcoming and nice. The room was excellent and veryclean. Beautiful views.

Review 59:Wifi reception was poor in the rooms, had to sit out in the garden to get reception.

Review 60:Beautifully appointed villa with stunning views to the ocean. A nice quiet getaway. Own transport is a must, and the road up the mountain is not for the faint hearted! Took a large, heavy motorcycle and the roads are spectacular but turn into single lane goat tracks quickly. Location is exactly where google maps had it positioned.

Review 61:The 30 euros taxi fare to get there from Monterosso. Our advice is to hire/use a car if you can. But don't miss out on the great walks.

Review 62:Staying there will make you feel fantastic about life!!! We LOVED everything: the care given, the views, the room, the advice, the views, Beppe the Barboncino, the views, the beautiful dinners, the breakfast from the terrace, the Italian chats and the sounds of church bells in the background, the friendliness of Giulia, Michelina and her team, the views, the 6km walk down and up from Vernazza... We are "past our prime" and we never walk but we could do it and nowhere is prettier than the walk from Foce di Drignana to Vernazza. Walking past all this lush vegetation makes you feel good to be alive! Did we mention the views??? We've travelled extensively throughout Italy and NOWHERE has the welcome been more friendly!

Review 63:Poor location. Booking.com should change this - it's misleading to say it's located in Vernazza. The staff told us it was 30 min walk on path 8 which was a complete lie (a 2 hr hike according to another couple who'd made the journey). Wifi did not work at all. Fireflies on room made it difficult to sleep. Got bitten several times on my ankle. There was a scorpion under our bed.

Review 64:Staff were friendly

Review 65:You must have a car to stay here as it is very far from the town. Not walking distance and no public transportation to property. Breakfast can be purchased but no restaurant on site.

Review 66:Views were amazing from here! Rooms comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating!

Review 67:Accommodations were excellent. Very nice crisp and clean bed linens and towels. Decor was contemporary. Water bottles left in the room for us with a mini refrigerator. Breakfast was coffee or tea with fruit juice and excellent croissants and breads. We had a car so it was a great place for us to stay , but if you don't have your own transportation it is not convenient to get to Cinque Terre. It is in the provence of Vernazza but up in the countryside with a winding road down to the actual town of Vernazza. Excellent views.

Review 68:I did not have a bad experience but I have two suggestions: ~Thedirections to find pz need to be clearer. ~The breakfast needs to beless starchy--what was served was good but I would have liked a piece offruit rather than 3 types of bread. I don't mean to nitpik--just asuggestion to make a great place even better.

Review 69:Affittacamere pz is one of the best places I stayed at in Italy. It isvery tastefully done. The view from my private terrace was spectacularand a welcome respite after the hordes of tourists in the Cinque Terretowns and on the hike. A car is essential, but it is a short drive intoMonterosso where parking in the public lot was easy.

Review 70:The drive up to the accommodation from Vernazza is steep and winding, which would not be for everyone, but if you can do it it is definitely worth it!

Review 71:The owners were very welcoming and genuinely caring. They made us dinner which was excellent and so was the breakfast. Stunning views of the sea. The accommodation is very modern and tastefully decorated.

Review 72:The staff could not speak very much English, but this was not a problem as we somehow managed to understand what they were saying. There is someone there who can speak English however as I called prior to our arrival and managed to speak to someone in English.

Review 73:The views from the room as well as the location of the hotel were fantastic, looked right down onto Vernazza. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast consisted of coffee, brioche and croissants on the lovely terrace.

Review 74:non-english speaking staff also, always wrong guidance.. location is impossible to reach by walk taxi demands 30 euro from montereso. for eating you should walk one hour to closest restaurant or hitchiking.. the best thing about to hotel was leaving there......

Review 75:Poor service! We arrived late because we got lost driving to the hotel. The staff refused to open the door when we finally got there, saying that the check-in is closed and owner has left the apartment; whn the fact remains that they actually stayed there themselves. We demanded to speak to the owner and only then the staff agreed to check us in! It's ridiculous when we have already prepaid and it doesn't take them much effort to open the gate and let us in! But staffs from booking.com who rang us to check on our whereabouts was very helpful. We're never coming back to this place ever!

Review 76:Location of the hotel being on the hillside

Review 77:Breakfast could have been a bit more, wifi was very weak in the room

Review 78:Nice helpful staff, very cosy room and bed, big bathroom, location quite secluded and peaceful

Review 79:This is NOT IN VERNAZZA!! It is 5 -6 kms up in the hills, a 1.5 hr hike straight up or a 30-EU taxi ride - if you can get a taxi to take you there. We could not. We arrived in Vernazza by train and discovered late in the day that we had to either taxi or hike up into the hills to get to our bed for the night - everywhere else was booked out. There is no cafe at this inn or nearby so if want to eat, carry your own food. You have to travel another 10 mins by car --- no idea how far to walk - in order to find something to eat. It was getting dark and we were tired. We went hungry. They did offer us some pastries, juice, and coffee for breakfast. The walk back down was great - terrific views etc. But it also took us 1.5 hours to get back down to Vernazza and food.

Review 80:The place is very nicely decorated, clean, and modern. The view is exceptional.

Review 81:WiFi would not work, no restaurant anywhere in sight. Hot water did not work though they did repair it but we had to leave. Breakfast was extra 10 E. Room with actual water view was 30 E extra.

Review 82:The room was clean and newly renovated. Location was very scenic.

Review 83:You have to have a car to stay here and we weren't informed that the main road down to Vernazza was closed. We ended up driving to where the road was blocked and then walked 30 minutes to town. Better to drive to Monterosso and use trains and boats from there. No breakfast included.

Review 84:This room looked to be recently remodeled. Everything was clean and bright. The young lady that checked us in was very friendly but spoke limited English. The view was wonderful.

Review 85:Very difficult to find. Had to get local in town to drive us back up mountain to find. Still couldn't find way in. very frustrating after long drive. Had GPS. Still couldn't find. Ugh! But worth it in end for views.

Review 86:Beautiful vistas

Review 87:You could only stay here if you have a car, which we did. The drive down to any of the Conque Terre towns is long and nerve-wracking. Coming back at night in the dark after a dinner with wine was downright harrowing.

Review 88:The room itself was very nice, with quality appointments and daily cleaning. The linens were beautiful, care of the room outstanding, wi-fi worked wonderfully. Good coffee and treats left daily. Views were outstanding.

Review 89:Impossible to find. Address does not show on any map or GPS. No food anywhere near it. Very expensive for what you get. Would never recommend this hotel.

Review 90:Staff wasn't very friendly at all, didn't speak a word of english, very hard to find by car as I don't speak Italian and GPS doesn't find location but the worst part was that we literally got kicked out cause we didn't know the check out was 10am. Normally would expect them to tell me if it's not 12p which is the usual check out time. We tried to rush but only managed to leave at 11 after being rudely asked several times to leave.

Review 91:Value for money and location are great, if you have a car. Very cute place.

Review 92:Far from venezza town, not in cinque terre definitely (definitely car needed since it is located up the hill) Breakfast is a packed cake and coffee or tea (that u prepare yourself) No restaurants or markets around (bring ur own drinks and snacks to enjoy the evening at the balcony)

Review 93:View Romance Cleanliness Decoration Staff (they dont speak english but they r so nice that somehow u can communicate)

Review 94:It is c6km from Vernazza if you don't have a car and though they have shuttles that run 5 times a day the last one from Vernazza leaves at 7.00pm.

Review 95:The apartment was lovely with a balcony, very clean bathroom, fast WIFI and very clean room. The staff were lovely. Room had a fridge, mountain views.

Review 96:No breakfast served...& miles from anywhere. The 2 sachets of instant coffee were terrible,& no creamer/ whitener for the tea or coffee. We bought some cheese & ham in to eat,but the little fridge, though new,did not get cold! Rather useless! Priced rather on the high side..not suitable for the less mobile, a steep walk down from the car park, then steps up to the rooms.. No garden to sit in.

Review 97:Fantastic views......lovely room,& bathroom. Fabulous views over the Cinque Terre bays. All very new, fresh & bright. A balcony.wifi.parking.

Review 98:Really clean and comfortable rooms with sea view. The family who is taking care of the guests is really friendly and they gave us good recommendations on restaurants, beaches...ect. With car you can appraoch Vernazza in 15mins, but there is also a bus going down to the city. ( few times a day only)

Review 99:Actually everything was fine. I liked the place very much. Perfect view on the sea. Very clean and stylish.

Review 100:hostel quality for the price of a four star hotel

Review 101:hostel quality accomodation, but clean

Review 102:we suggest to have a richer breakfast with some bacon or/and ham.

Review 103:The view is nice and the room has been kept new.

Review 104:Great views, clean rooms and friendly staff just make sure you have a car as Vernazza and the Cinque Terra blue trail is 4km down a very steep slope.

Review 105:Friendliness of the staff.

Review 106:Great!! Just make you have a car. Loved staff...loved the view

Review 107:Location is not convenient for Vernazza

Review 108:The signage could be better.

Review 109:Very clean, the staff were extremely helpful. The view was spectacular.

Review 110:Wifi didnt work!

Review 111:view, room design, nature, hospitality, cleanliness,

Review 112:Hard to find.

Review 113:The location is Beautiful The staff We're Lovely

Review 114:Very difficult to find - wouldn't come up on GPS.

Review 115:Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Great views.

Review 116:Great view, wonderful stuff, nice breakfast, very clean, very nice and big room.

Review 117:difficult to get to

Review 118:beautiful view, helpful staff

Review 119:Little bit small

Review 120:Very clean and comfortable, amazing view
