Reviews for Hotel Bracamonte
Review 1:Fridge in room was noisy at night.
Review 2:Liliana on reception spoke very good English and all the staff are helpful. Choice of 4 options for breakfast is plentiful and the restaurant offers good priced food. The grounds are kept very neat and tidy and the complex is inside a high gate with a security guard. Pool was a bonus. Good value for money.
Review 3:Not the hotel's fault, but some noisy guests disturbed our sleep the first night and a big Carnaval celebration next door shook the walls all following night...
Review 4:This is a great hotel, 5 minutes from the beach and 15 from Huanchaco's action. The compound is surrounded by a tall wall, giving it a sense of tranquility (when it's not Carnival season...). The pool and restaurant are fun and convenient. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
Review 5:The staff were so helpful, and we were able to check in early after a long bus ride. The hotel felt safe and secure, beautiful gardens and a nice pool. The restaurant was excellent. Perfect for visiting archeological sites nearby.
Review 6:The pool was not clean and very cloudy. Some folks called it nasty andwould not enter it. It needs a good pool person to make it clear clean.
Review 7:Close to the ocean, nice size pool, great breakfast, clean room, nice walk to town, good after hours restaurant. We would return toto this hotel.
Review 8:The proximity to the beach, close but far away enough to not be affected by the street noise. The staff were fabulous and the food in the restaurant very tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Review 9:The weekend music coming from a beac disco.
Review 10:A quiet, comfortable hotel. Away from the busy beach area but only a five minute walk away. Pleasant gardens plenty of grass, enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the birds and the peace and quiet. Good breakfast.
Review 11:Quite a few noisy guests first night that went on late and noise went on late.
Review 12:Awesome grounds, pool and restaurant.
Review 13:our room was on pool side which is very noisy with children playing in the swimming pool , when you book ask for a room far from the pool
Review 14:the location
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:All are in his right place. Perfect for family wighth childs, the personnels are kindly very helpfull.
Review 17:A friendly, efficient and helpful hotel with a good onsite restaurant open all day and that is also used by locals. Smallish pool, well maintained. Right on the edge of the old town and short walk to beach.
Review 18:Admittedly we were there during mid-Jan school break. The first night we were in a small bungalow at the back as we had asked for quiet but it was so small and from the '50s, which is OK but my husband could hardly move around. The manager kindly relocated us to the 2nd floor, but as many families were there, one family arrived at the restaurant each morning at 7 a.m. with their children's screams coming up to the 2nd floor--perhaps early diners could be contained inside the restaurant with the door closed. The games room was one room away on the 2nd floor and one night 4 men played pool and drank until 1.30, as there were no rules for use as there is for the pool which closes at 8pm. Also the foozball game in the restaurant is disturbing to diners and kids play at all hours(noisy) Families filled the pool such that there were no chairs, but the beach is great. The men in the restaurant seemd to take their jobs seriously but after 7 mornings with the sullenness of the Columbian waitress it was very tedious. She got our meal to the table, but not without asking for each item, like the tea, or the butter or the salt and pepper despite our meals being exactly the same each day. We were always on edge when she was there, and such a relief when we lucked out with one of the young men who would attempt English hello and smile and actually set the table without being coached. Nonetheless, we feel the Braccamonte is the best choice, and we would stay again.
Review 19:The fact that the hotel complex was separated from the beach strip, self-contained and back from the beach. We extended our stay and were obliged to move out for 2 days due to lack of space. The high end hotel on the beach strip was noisy, had no restaurant and the sheets and all were damp...thus Bracamonte's position with no windows to the beach allowed air but not dampness.Modern facilities in rooms around pool. The restaurant offered good choice of breakfast, and a good assortment for lunch or dinner.Edson and Felix in the d.r. were friendly and well trained.
Review 20:the internet is quite slow.
Review 21:was a good value for money. staff is very nice, rooms are clean, the hotel is safe. the restaurant is very good, with good prices.
Review 22:A little thing: My visits are always during their winter(July/August) and I'm always a little cold at night. I wouldlove a small electric heater at hand or something to warm myself beforebed, though I never even asked. Im sure they would have provided extrablankets or whatever if I had asked.
Review 23:This is the third time in 4 years that I have stayed at Bracamonte. Icome back because it is always a great experience. I love the enclosed"park" sense-- green walkway, beautiful landscaping, superlayout of rooms, hot showers, pool, outdoor seating at the restaurant, and on site recreation such as a library, ping pong, pool, and fooseballetc. And don't be fooled by its quaint atmosphere, the restauranthas a full menu and the food is fantastic and affordable. I love thelocation; literally across the street from the beach but secure, andwith constant patrol of the facility. The staff really could not be moreaccommodating; they helped with printing, phone calls, laundry, taxiservice, and extra-care in cleaning after my husband was sick in theroom a full day. All, with the most friendly attitude and concern forour comfort. Highest marks for Bracamonte!
Review 24:very basic but clean and friendly. Spartan rooms. Small but space in the public areas to sit and relax. Not much space in the rooms. pillows and bedspreads old and worn but clean.
Review 25:great location. grounds, pool and restaurant areas well kept. Even in middle of their winter, there were flowers and pretty green spaces. all the staff were friendly and helpful. great computer access.
Review 26:The wifi wasn't working and the staff flat out said they were notgoing to do anything as they could get internet on their phones. I runan online business so need the wifi. Checke out and moved down thestreet with good wifi. They were quite rude about it
Review 27:Clean room, they let me check in early
Review 28:As our room (303) was facing the pool and there were quite a fewfamilies, it was extremely loud during the afternoon and evening.
Review 29:Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast offered 4 choices which areincluded in the room rate, plus you could add more which was nice. Hotelis conveniently located close to the beach.
Review 30:Price. Way more than anywhere else and nowhere near worth it. Otherreviews made this place sound amazing and I have no idea why. Old andtired, a littel too out of town, nosiy small pool. See real poctureson Trip Advisor and if staying ask for new apartments as the old arevery worn.
Review 31:Clean hotel. Allowed us to check in early.
Review 32:Room service was great
Review 33:Slightly chilly pool water
Review 34:Staff was awesome Location amazing
