Reviews for Stayokay Dordrecht - De Hollandse Biesbosch
Review 1:FYI - this hostel is in the middle of nowhere, but then again so is Dordrecht which is probably why you're staying there. Just keep in mind the only bus from the station to the hostel is the 501 and for some weird reason you have to actually call them to come pick you up. Otherwise you can take another that leaves you with about a 20-30 minute walk to the hostel.
Review 2:I loved the breakfast, the secluded location, the friendly staff and the playlist of music in the common area. I would definitely stay here again. I imagine it's even better in the summer.
Review 3:The location. The hostel is veeeeery far away from the city centre and we had to ask for different people the exact location of the place. Only one bus line attends the hostel and it must be booked at least 1 hour before.
Review 4:The hostel is very clean and tidy. Breakfast is great and with good choices. Very quiet and comfortable.
Review 5:Replacement staff coming from Rotterdam with no clues on the place and available services. When asked for a map they were unable to provide one same with kayaking facilities. Very poor service!
Review 6:Bad communication by public transport. Beds are old, small and uncomfortable. Wifi was not working for 2 days long.
Review 7:Location is far from the city but close to the nature.
Review 8:The only slightly negative thing I noticed apart from there was no plug for the sink was that the staff could have looked happier and more receptive to guests! But I had no issues with them at all.
Review 9:The atmosphere is relaxed and calm. The room clean and tidy. We were passing through on a bicycle tour, and this was our final stay over. Good to see the addition of Organic foods for breakfast. Safe bike storage.
Review 10:Everything. It is not a hotel. Its a hostel.
Review 11:Nothing. The worst place ever. I paid €59 to be in a room where the mattress is wrapped in plastic. In fact they are the sort of hospital mattresses. Appalling conditions. Room 24. Massive toilet designed set up for disabled. Completely let down. No towels. No shampoo. Good for campers
Review 12:Towels for additional price and very used beds, which were screeched when you just turn on another side. But rich breakfast and warm atmosphere is good compensation for such lack of comfortable bed.
Review 13:Very good and polite staff and rich breakfast, clean room, beautiful view from the restaurant, it seems to us that in summer it will be wonderful place for rest! We were late but they wait for us and it was great to have opportunity for such late coming!
Review 14:The position. If you don't have a car, you have to walk 2 km from the bus stop.
Review 15:Staff very polite: the receptionist reserved a restaurant for us and he rent two bicycles for free. In the morning we had to leave hostel at 8.00 ant breakfast was prepared before.
Review 16:Well, it's a hostel, so don't expect a hotel type room here. If you can live with that, all is good. Breakfast starts very late (8am), so I always missed it
Review 17:Good location, super nice staff, super low cost, very clean room
Review 18:The rooms are very essentials but there is everything you need. The sheets they provide are very clean, the whole hostel in general is very clean. The breakfast is rich, with many possible choices. The common area is very nice, with a pool table, a lot of sofas, a bar, games. The garden is awesome since the hostel is practically inside the park, so there is a canal in the backyard.
Review 19:Directions to get to the hostel were very unclear on the site. It stated in the evening after a certain time to take a bus and get off to walk from a stop, but didn't specify how long the walk would be - it was a good 45 minutes, with all gear including suitcases. Directions need to be a lot clearer and more accurate. The hostel had some questionable policies, such as not allowing to bring dinner food from outside, even when the hostel was no longer serving food. We were only allowed to ear outside food on picnic tables outside at the front entrance to the hostel. Also, for some unknown reason the lounge closes at midnight and the only spot to hang out (aside from the dorm room) was the outdoor back patio. The hostel's own only dinner option was an overpriced buffet.
Review 20:Good room with clean bunk beds and lot of storage. Very nice lounge, patio, decent breakfast. Bikes for rent for reasonable price. Clean facilities and overall good service. Walking distance to canoe/boat rental.
Review 21:beds were not very comfortable, kids running up and down the hall until midnight.
Review 22:Breakfast was great! Location was fabulous. The kids loved the playground.
Review 23:It's hard to go there with public transportation (you'll walk about 40 min). The room is tiny. I hate bunkbeds!
Review 24:The location is perfect. Friendly staff. Many activities around. The national park is amazing. Simple and clean place.
Review 25:the staff were great and very helpful. All was basic but very comfortable ...room was large and spacious
Review 26:Good location plenty to do on site and nearby. Just passing through this time but will return
Review 27:wifi was down
Review 28:Relaxing
Review 29:the noise at night from the neighbors was unbearable
Review 30:towels not included more suitable for large groups rather than
Review 31:facilities for cyclists startegic place to visit biesbosch

Review 34:Quiet place, close to National park and Replica of Noah Ark
Review 35:stapelbedden, saaie kamers
Review 36:ontbijt, aardige mensen, uitzicht op de biesbosch
Review 37:Friendly staff Good breakfast Basic but clean room
Review 38:unwilling personal
Review 39:the staff the BBQ the bikes the nature the playground for kids the relaxed atmosphere
Review 40:The only downside was that we didn't know that the bus from Dordrecht train station to the hostel needs to be booked at least an hour in advance. As we came to the bus stop in Dordrecht after 9pm, we were told that there is no bus going to the hostel that evening so we had to take a taxi instead. It would be great if it would be mentioned on the website or if the hostel would make us aware of it in advance so we could plan our journey and order the bus whilst on the train to Dordrecht.
Review 41:The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Facilities of the hostel were superb, the room was nice and spacious and the hostel was very nice and clean. The playground for kids was a really nice surprise as we stayed with 1-year-old baby. The location of the hostel is nice and quiet, right next to the Hollandse Biesbosch National Park and close to the city of Dordrecht. We rented bikes for a day and had a great trip around the park as well as the city.
Review 42:The room was small, the price was 59 per night for me alone (expensive what you get!!!), no TV in the room and the internet did not funktion in the room and one day not in the public places.
Review 43:I liked the recreation room!
Review 44:Pretty basic, hostel-style accommodation
Review 45:Beautiful location in the national park Very bike friendly Good value for money - hearty dinner and breakfast included
Review 46:The rooms are really, really simple and extremely expensive for what they are. Bed (small bunks) and bathroom and absolutely nothing else. You have to pay €2.50 to hire on towel.
Review 47:The location is great, right in the countryside but it's miles away from the city of Dordrecht
Review 48:Location. I had to walk for two hours from the bus to get there. Really hated the place. It's maybe perfect for some outdoor group activities coming by car, but using public transport to get there is a terrible experience.
Review 49:the bunk bed was really comfortable
Review 50:A picture on the web shows two single beds next to each otherhoiwever the room had two beds on top of each other! Everything elsewas very nice
Review 51:I did like the staff very much, they know how to act with peoplespecially from other countryes, as I am estonian and they called me ascandinavian person wich every estonian likes rather to be calledeastern european so a first impression was more than positive! SecondlyI slpet in the check out time and people were very nice to me eventhough most places would charge me another day because of it, so thankyou very much guys I had a time of my life thats ofcourse because of theperson I spent that time there however stayokey personell made it evenmore enjoyable, so sry I couldnt try the breakfast! Will deffenetly comeback to spend a night if I ever end up being around there!
Review 52:It is a shame that there are no double beds for couples, but onlyseparate single beds or bunk beds. At night the security lights willflash on on the parking lot, which is flooding the rooms on that sidewith light.
Review 53:The staff was helpful. The location is great, with easy access to theWantij and the Biesbosch, as well as the centre of Dordrecht, Sliedrechtand Papendrecht! The bikes for rent are a very nice facility. The roomwas tidy and the bathroom clean, and good value for money.
Review 54:Warm, comfy room. Brilliant buffet breakfast. Helpful staff with perfect English. Tranquil riverside setting. Easy to find by car.
Review 55:Lovely surrounding countryside and superb cycling locally
Review 56:Location not good and breakfast not good.
Review 57:Low price.
Review 58:We liked the atmosphere there and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 59:Far away from city centre,
Review 60:Good general atmosphre, out door facilities for kids, cheap relax, Good heating system

Review 62:Excel·lent situation, next to Biesboch natural park.
Review 63:Pay extra for towels No soap in bathroom
Review 64:Size of rooms Price Quiet
