Reviews for Endless Surf Hostel
Review 1:The price of 65 euros for small double bed and too small blankets and no breakfast makes it too expensive. Besides group of young people with noise entering at 3 o clock at night makes it no great fun
Review 2:The sun chairs & swimming pool. And very friendly reception boy
Review 3:some mosquitos
Review 4:Nuno is a very cool and uncommon Host with loads of surfing expertise. Everybody will love to chat with him and my girlfriend still try's to figure out how his card tricks worked ;)
Review 5:The hostel is just amazing and I can recommend it to everyone who would like to have a relaxed, easy going and still very great holiday! I were meant to stay in the Arrifana Surf hostel with a friend of mine for just one night but we couldn't leave so we stayed 2 more nights and I would probably still be there, if my holiday wouldn't have been over already. The hostel is in a very small little town close to Aljezur and is between to beautiful beaches (great for surfing! :)).You can walk to one in about 20 minutes but to the otherone you need to drive. So I would recommend coming by car. But the crew might give you a lift if you don't have one :). The owner of the place is a very nice guy who is a great surfer, a magician and a keen entertainer. More over he will let you feel at home just in the second you enter the hostel. It does not look like a normal hostel as it is more like a family house with a huge living room, kitchen and a great garden with a pool. It was always very clean and tidy. I really liked my holidays there and can't say any bad words about this beautiful place. Thank you Nuno for making our holiday so special :).
Review 6:the staff is very welcoming, the house is fantastic!!! It's a nice place to meet new people. Good facilities, close to the beach and local supermarket. You can also relax at the pool! To repeat for sure (: confy bed, difficult to get out. The kitchen has everything you need to use as well.
Review 7:When I stayed all the rooms were full, there were people sleeping randomly on the couch, there were 3 or 4 tents randomly in the yard, the garage had been converted to a 9 person room and an outdoor shed had been converted to a two person dorm. Most hostels will reach full capacity and leave it at that. This hostel seemed to cram people in every nook and cranny to get extra renters. There is only two bathrooms in this hostel and they are just typical house bathrooms with one shower, one toilet and one sink. As you can imagine with 25-30 people sharing two bathrooms, it was an extremely long wait everytime you needed to use the washroom. Also, the owner of the hostile was a bit curt at times. We found the condom dispensing vending machine in the kitchen a bit tastless. We also found a huge wolf spider in our room that was jumping around terrifyingly. My fiance and I travel a lot and were shocked at the good reviews given our experience. We stayed in 7 hostels in portugal during our month and a half here and they were all fine except this one.
Review 8:Stephanie was very kind and helpful :) The house was clean due to the hard work and long hours of the two girls working there. The location is pretty good if you have a car. If you do not you will easily be able to walk to a few restaurants but not the beach.
Review 9:At arrival, was very welcome and shown all the facilities of the hostel. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The beds are confortable and the house is at all times very clean, making you feel at home. The vibe is very good, making it a good place to met new ppl from different corners of the globe. Near the market, bar, restaurant and Arrifana beach, which has great surf! Lively recommend this hostel as a great stay in Aljezur!
Review 10:Nothing. It was perfect.
Review 11:Extremely friendly, helpful, clean, comfortable. We loved our stay here and the relaxed atmosphere. Great spot, close to Arrifana and Monte Clerigo beaches, got lots of tips for restaurants, etc. which were spot-on.
Review 13:The Arrifana is a warm and welcoming place where you instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is just great. It's quite like sharing the house with your friends. The pool is a sunny place, the nearby beaches are gorgeous.
Review 14:It was a short time booking which we made and than we arrived and... the hostel, the area, the staff, the coast, everything was just like a dream, so so beautiful!!! And the hostal is like a wonderful, familiar home where you feel not ashamed to relax and stay. This feeling is given you immediately when meeting the friendly stuff and stunning home.
Review 15:Very very clean, I wish my personal cleaning lady back home is so perfectionist. The staff is really friendly, nice music by the pool in the afternoon. Amazing sunset by the terrace. If you don't go there, you are missing something. The owner will make sure you are having a pleasant stay.
Review 16:Not very luxurious, yet very good for a hostel
Review 17:Friendly staff Good facilities Put on nice music when we sat to chillCheep beer / soda fridge Wi-fi worked well Friendly people
Review 18:Bit of a walk to the beach but the staff did take me on one occasion.
Review 19:Everything you could want from a hostel, relaxed vibe, plenty of communal areas to get to know people and chill, always clean and tidy and a pool!! If you're there for the fisherman's festival make sure you attend!!
Review 20:If you have a car the location is fine, if on foot and planning to spend lots of time on the beach it does take about 30 min walk, not bad, just be aware
Review 21:We stayed here on our hike of the Rota Vicentina. It was comfortable, very friendly staff, good place to rest up for the hike the next day
Review 22:Great set up, felt like home
Review 23:I would give 12 points if i could. it's like a home away from home. thank you, nuno!
Review 24:Wi-fi signal was a bit weak in our room, but overall it was enough for basic usage.

Review 31:Staff simpaty House always very clean Good location
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:Friendly staff, clean, nice decor, location, very confy,
Review 34:No ac or insect screens on windows.
Review 35:Modern, funky? Open plan design. Great pool area and welcoming host.
Review 36:If you're veggie like me, the restaurants often don't have a lot of choice, however we catered for ourselves mainly so it wasn't too much of a problem.
Review 37:The Surf Lodge provides a relaxing tranquil space, perfect for a surfing holiday as the beach is only a 5 minute drive or pleasant 20 minute walk away. The small town of Aljezur is 15minute drive away and has a large supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars and the walk up to the castle provides amazing views of the surrounding area. The proprietor, Nuno's local knowledge was invaluable and he helped me plan my surf lessons and other activities for the week. The bedrooms are spacious, light and airy and stylishly decorated. The large kitchen at the lodge is perfect for large gatherings and we enjoyed communal meals with the other guests in the evenings with interesting and entertaining conversation and good wine. There few good restaurants close by and a Karaoke bar if you want evenings out but it's also perfect if you just want to chill by the pool or even watch a film from the extensive collection in the large living area. Arrifana seems to have a microclimate - so even in October the temperatures are warm. I thoroughly recommend this venue, whether you plan to surf or just enjoy the beautiful countryside and nature - it's just perfect!
Review 38:Arrifana Surf Hotel makes you feel at home, the owner, Nuno, is an excellent host! You can enjoy a quiet room for 2 or stay in the shared rooms with friends! Living room&kitchen area is amazing, and free to use all the time, great facilities! Plus? You can rent boards&suits for a cheap price and get free surf tips! Great experience! We´re are definitely going back again!
Review 39:Great place - very clean, great atmosphere, friendly guests. Very helpful owner who recommends surf schools/instructor and gives local tips :)
Review 40:Super place to stay at! Clean, friendly, nice and laid-back! I would recommend Arrifana Surf Hostel 7days a week, surfer or not its a place to stay!
