Reviews for Eburon Hotel

Review 1:Rooms very hot. Reception area rather bland and very uncomfortable seating. Rooms are fine but a bit too minimal - be careful not to knock yourself out on the ill designed bed head! Breakfast was poor and overpriced. Staff not particularly friendly. All looked grim faced.

Review 2:Brilliant location. Good reception staff. Quiet hotel.

Review 3:The hotel need to be freshened up a bit. The breakfast is too expensive.

Review 4:Perfect location, especially for a visit at the antuiqe market. Friendly and service minded staff.

Review 5:Missing fully equipped bar (but one is just opposite of hotel) and bigger wardrobe.

Review 6:Location of hotel and untypical interior of the hotel make it quite special

Review 7:We went up on Saturday to get an early start on the Sunday antiques market (5:30 AM out and about to get the good deals) - the hotel is smack in the middle of all the action! Late checkout @18:00 our Sunday was only €10 - great deal. Parking Deck is just around the corner as well (Go down to level -2 as -1 is full of dealers Sunday AM).

Review 8:The staff is great and super accommodating. Thank you Charlotte for assisting us during our stay! The rooms are very large and the location couldn't be better. Would definitely stay here again!

Review 9:dampy smell in shower, quite pricy breakfast nothing special for 16,50euro, finishing details: plaster and paint in edges and corners needs some maintenance. Stairways need some vacuuming

Review 10:Location, room size, style: modern in old monarstery

Review 11:Bath controls hard to fathom but worth the effort!

Review 12:Central situation great for antiques market and carpark. Laura on front desk sorted out our query promptly and professionally. Room was large and bed was very comfortable. Very little noise and air con was spot on in 38 degree heat.

Review 13:Had no complaints

Review 14:The market is literally right outside the front door. You can go and shop without trekking throughout the city. Staff were very helpful and gave great information. I have a toddler and her bed was already set up when I arrived. I am thrilled with the experience.

Review 15:Be warned - if you arrive late Tongeren stops cooking at 9.30pm - and you need to reserve a table in advance. Hotel was hot and the air con is controlled centrally

Review 16:Clean, comfortable and right in the centre of town. Friendly staff

Review 17:Nowhere to put your clothes. No cupboards or drawers. Only 3 hangers in a tiny hanging space. We were forced to live out of our suitcases. Lumpy uncomfortable pillow.

Review 18:Great location. handy for the antiques market and station.

Review 19:The hotel doesn't have a proper bar - just a few seats in the lobby area.

Review 20:Very stylish hotel in ideal location. Staff could not have been more helpful. Bed was so comfortable that it was hard to drag myself out of it in the morning!

Review 21:Absolutely nothing!

Review 22:The location was perfect for the flea market on Sunday. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were huge, very clean and beds very comfortable.

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:The location was great got an evening out on the town. When we walked out Sunday morning we were in the middle of the antique show! After we checked in we were offered a glass of wine and a sweet dessert.

Review 25:problem in the morning in the breakfast room, no coffee because there was no electricity. The girl who was serving was not very efficient because she could have got us a coffee from the lobby.

Review 26:Location, staff in the lobby was extremely friendly , nice big rooms and shower!

Review 27:Breakfast was good but a little highly priced I think. There were no coat hangers in the room. I informed the staff about it but never received any before checking out (staying two nights).

Review 28:Cleanliness; quality of room; free Wi-Fi; good location; good breakfast; nice touch to have free nibbles/sandwiches on check-in.

Review 29:The room was large with all you need and more in it. The bath and shower were amazing. The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up in the morning. In the 3 nights we stayed we spoke to 4 different members of staff. They were all extremely helpful and polite.

Review 30:I have no negative feelings towards the place.

Review 31:The hotel is situated right in the centre of the antiques market held every Sunday, and is within a short walk to all of the town's historic sites. They are very accommodating- I booked what was advertised as the last available room, which was a single, large bed. Upon arrival, the receptionist thought to ask if I and my (same-sex) travel companion would prefer a room with two twin beds. I don't know where they found the extra room, but they made it happen, and that is what I deem excellent service. Additionally, they offer a considerable deal for late check-out on Sunday. For ten Euros, you are able to keep the room until 6 in the evening, which is fantastic if you are up all morning shopping for antiques and wish to freshen up, or even have a nice siesta in the air-conditioning prior to your departure. The shower in my room was Amazing as well, as the shower-head was as large as a place-mat, which means your entire body is gently pelted with water, as if you were out in a warm rain shower. I could have slept in it.

Review 32:Can be a bit noisy in the room when breakfast is prepared and served.

Review 33:Superb location, nice rooms, good breakfast. Parking closeby.

Review 34:The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at 10.30 at night and at 5.30 in the morning (we like our antiques shopping!) is second to none.

Review 35:Run down - needs a refresh to bring it up to price point standard (scuff marks, stained carpets)

Review 36:None

Review 37:Smart , clean , welcoming

Review 38:Maybe some tips of where to eat and visit locally.

Review 39:Excellent staff, very clean, great location, loved the town.

Review 40:Location to the Tongeren antique market, room decor, room size, breakfast was worth the price!

Review 41:Stylish Comfortable Amazing breakfast!

Review 42:noise from adjoining room

Review 43:Large room with good facilities

Review 44:nothing

Review 45:Location, room and helpful/friendly staff

Review 46:Excellent location for the antique market

Review 47:I HAVE ENJOYED THE MINIMAL , BUT ESTHETIC DESIGN OF THE ROOMS!

Review 48:I liked it all.

Review 49:All of it.

Review 50:The room was spacious and clean; staff was very friendly and helpful; breakfast was good and plentiful; loved the shower!

Review 51:plastic cups in the bathroom, with these prices glas is not a luxury...

Review 52:architecture, friendliness, design

Review 53:It was just a short walk from the train station to the hotel. It was close to everything. The antique market was just out the front door. We loved that for 10 euro we could keep the room longer on Sunday. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was air conditioned, the room was large and the hotel was very quiet in the evenings.

Review 54:Price of breakfast a little high and the room could be a little more cleaned but hey, it's a nice hotel

Review 55:So friendly staff, nice area and room was great.

Review 56:The room was extremely hot, we don't think the airco was working. We reported it at the next morning. The shower was also not really clean.

Review 57:The staff were extremely friendly and the location was perfect, centre of the town and the antique market was right out the door on Sunday morning.

Review 58:the hotel was not as clean as expected, stains on carpet and we had two big windows were the blinds didn't work. One big lamp in the room also broken....it is a shame for this nice hotel.

Review 59:Big room and the breakfast is super

Review 60:The staff is SUPER nice , welcoming and helpful!!!! The location cannot be beat ... the room was perfect and SO QUIET!!!! Overall a place we will stay again when we return to Tongeren!!

Review 61:Wc door not easy to open and design bath not easy to operatie!

Review 62:Charming spot, great staff with time and dedication, good advice regarding dinner location (l'infirmiere) , although I do not like the expression : great value for money, esp. With the sunday's flee market right around the hotel's corners. Excellent weekend venue

Review 63:Bathtub in the center of the room was a bit odd when traveling withfriends; breakfast was available, but we skipped as it was too expensive

Review 64:Very friendly and helpful staff, fabulous location and clean rooms

Review 65:The restaurant attached to the facility was closed...luckily there where plenty of restaurants and bars near by.

Review 66:Central location worked out great for us. The facility was very clean and comfortable though, the rooms were very warm even with the heat turned off.

Review 67:The pre heating to 23 C of the room. Way to hot for a good sleep and night-rest.

Review 68:The friendlyness and balanced atmosphere between the age of the building and the design decoration.

Review 69:The air conditioning blew directly on to the bed.

Review 70:The staff was polite and helpful. We had an issue with the parking andthe front desk person was willing to come help us with it.

Review 71:The resturant that is at the foot of the hotel is rubbish. While not connected to the hotel, it is the easy choice for a meal, and there is a menu in your room to encourage you to eat there. Do yourself a favour and walk further away to eat.

Review 72:The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of town, ideal for the massive antique marlet every Sunday. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was large and wonderful, with one of the best showers I have ever seen in a hotel.

Review 73:Parking is expensive at €13.40 per day - however, there is free parking about a 10 minute walk away so we parked the car there. We also didn't have breakfast at a pricey €16 each so had breakfast at a tea room nearby.

Review 74:Well decorated unique rooms with large shower and huge comfy bed. We got up early on the Sunday for the Grand Prix and a member of staff kindly made us a coffee at no charge. The staff were very friendly and Tongeren itself is beautiful and wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

Review 75:The design of the shower in view of the bed is a bit awkward.

Review 76:Very comfortable and clean room and public spaces. In the hear of the town. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 77:The only problem was the day light at room 310 even with the curtain was very bright!! I couldn't sleep well after 05:30, actually I gave up and stand up at 06:00!!

Review 78:Location is awesome, just inside the Antique Market as well as all other main attractions.

Review 79:The only thing we did not like about our stay was getting up at 5 AM to go to the antiques market ;)

Review 80:High points of the Eburon in Tongeren are its: Cleanliness, staff, room size, location, convenience to parking, shopping district and antiques market.

Review 81:Parts of the decor are beginning to look a bit tired but not so much so that it detracted from the overall experience.

Review 82:Great rooms and great value for money in fabulous central location. A welcome glass of wine and a snack were also big positives. Perfect for the Sunday antique market.

Review 83:Toilet wasn't comfortable. The hotel looks cool and modern but when you look closely, you will know that the material used in building this hotel was not top-notched, particularly walls.

Review 84:The location was good. Staff helpful but a bit slow. The room was very spacious. The shower was big.

Review 85:Very thin walls, you could hear every word from the adjacent rooms. Incredibly dirty, thick dust on tea and coffee equipment, toilet was very dirty and in bad condition. Much to expensive for what was offered.

Review 86:Spacious room, breakfast ok.

Review 87:- we were woken by the cleaning staff at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning . The reception desk should improve their communication with cleaning staff on who checked out and who didn't ! - we had a noisy fridge: impossible to switch off, as there are no visible controls

Review 88:Friendliness of reception staff

Review 89:Paid an extra 30 Euros for a bigger room that included a bath. After along difficult hike, the 3 of us were looking forward to soaking in ahot bath. The bath was in the middle of the room and the shower was opento the room as well. This would have been fine for a couple, but I wastraveling with friends. Needless to say, it was a waste of 30Euros....nobody wanted to soak in a bath in the middle of the room.

Review 90:Very nice facilities and professional staff. Great location if you wantto visit the weekly antigue market or shop in Tongeren.

Review 91:The walls seem to be paper thin. Lots of noise from rooms next to us and above us at all times of the night.

Review 92:You can't beat the location if you're in Tongeren for the Antiques Market.

Review 93:It was all great

Review 94:Location in centre of town, right in amongst antique market, shops, restaurants, however very quiet. Parking close by at the Julianus carpark. Stayed on 3rd floor. Huge room and bed. Bath freestanding in thebedroom. Sep shower, bathroom and still sep toilet. Kettle provided andtea/ coffee which was wonderful to see in Europe! Converted periodbuilding. Soaring ceiling, designer style light fitting, moderndecor.iPod dock, flat screen tv. A great stay.

Review 95:There is no parking unless you use public pay parking lot.

Review 96:The staff was friendly and very helpful. Location in city center was interesting. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.

Review 97:I stayed with a friend and the shower sink area did not have a door. Also the toilet room was separate and you needed to walk around the tub ( in the middle of the room, near the door, in the open!) and beds to get to the sink area. The toilet room was tiny, dark and the light was on a motion sensor ( not very cool!). While I love design hotels and typically stay in them, this 'set-up' was not very comfortable or convenient. Perhaps other rooms have a better set up? I stayed in room 218.

Review 98:Very large room. Fantastic location in heart of the city. Parking garage was 50m from hotel and very cheap 5,50€/24 hours.

Review 99:Location is right next to the Sunday antique and furniture market. Greatplace to stay if you are looking to load up on the antiques. The roomsare large, especially for a European hotel. Plenty of places to eat andenjoy a good Belgian Beer within a short walking distance.

Review 100:Breakfast was extremely expensive. 16 euro each person. We opted not to purchase the breakfast and eat at one of the local shops around the corner. Also, the toilet in the room is separate from the shower/sinks. You have to walk around the room to wash your hands. Small things that did not affect our stay.

Review 101:The location was great for the Sunday Antique market and the main city center. There is a parking garage right next door to the hotel. The rooms were large for two people and very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us in every way possible.

Review 102:The shower setup is weird and not very private. The breakfast is tooexpensive.

Review 103:If you are planning to visit the Antiques Market, the location is great(you can take your goods back to the room then back to shopping!). Theyoffer a late checkout on Sunday until 6:00 P.M. for only 10 euros andthat was absolutely great after getting up so early to start browsing. The room is clean, very modern and the bed was comfy. The staff was veryfriendly and helpful.

Review 104:Breakfast not included in room rate.

Review 105:Perfect location, very helpful staff. Unusually large room, unique design.

Review 106:Location, friendly staff, good breakfast.

Review 107:The stopper in the tub didn't work, but that was not a big deal.

Review 108:The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect!

Review 109:but: impractical bar unworthy of the name (coffee, tea, beer only)

Review 110:beautiful

Review 111:For a kinda new Hotel the facilities are not in mint condition. A pity!

Review 112:Stylish yet practical

Review 113:Nice spacious modern hotel well situated for my purposes

Review 114:great decor...the bed was a pillow top!!! Soooo comfortable! Showers were awsome! Loved the hotel, will be staying there again

Review 115:Bathroom was very impractical as there is no door between shower, sink and bed.

Review 116:Friendly staff, comfortable bed and free wifi are all good.

Review 117:The hallway outside of the our room is quite large and noisy, so you can hear other guests returning to their rooms, which is a bit annoying.

Review 118:Design took over from Functionality, No space to put clothes in room. No coat hangers

Review 119:The location was ver good. Staff was very friendly
