Review 2：We loved everything about this place. It was truely a 5 star resort, the location & facilities were excellent. We stayed for 8 nights and were so sad to leave. I have to also mention the in house restaurant Seduction was simply fabulous. They truly deserved their "Hat".

Review 3：the sound level of winds was quite high to the stage that it was annoying . The Lifts were VERY VERY VERY slow creating lift rage ...it was very frustrating to be waiting 20 mins for lift . The Soul Peppers for a five star rating it did not deserve it and in my opinion it wont be long before its down graded to 4 stars- The staff wore dirty uniforms at Reception No pool towels at the resort pool - ( you have to order them to your room .) Access in the pool area meant you had to swipe your card 3 times from indoor to outdoor to sauna to showers to bathrooms ...just stupid it felt like high security jail rather than a 5 Star resort !! The out door pool and spa had several tiles missing creating cuts on us ... no staff around the resort facilities to get band aids ... only 1 staff member to set up drinks bar by the pool if there were a lot of people in the pool -- in other words when they can make more money not to service the clients !! The outdoor cover around the pool had rust showing lack of maintenance As the building also has residence living there the locals in the building were very rude and unwelcoming to tourist and when it came to the lifts they were very very very RUDE . This place was not designed for tourist and there was not direct access to the mall although the property was located at the mall . You had to go round outside on the road practically to go to the mall ....very cheap again not what you would expect from a 5 star resort . As for the unit it self once you can get over the dirty uniforms on staff the 20 minutes wait for a lift the unit and view was excellent and beds were clean and comfortable But the wind from the ocean would create a hurricane like noise that you felt a huge storm was coming at every second

Review 13：4-star service. Poor follow up. Requested for information on airport transfer about a week before arrival. No reply. On arrival, requested for adapter. Not delivered. Separately asked for additional bedroom slippers on same day - they provided only 2 for 4 persons in the unit. Also not delivered. On check-out, reception staff printed and handed bill to me and immediately turned to speak to her colleague. No word of thanks. No acknowledgement that I am "done" and can leave. This property is an apartment, not hotel. We didn't feel welcomed.

The location is perfect for everything you need, the ocean view is breathtaking, the wifi works great, the air condition is good and fast, the facilities are nice clean and morden, everything needed is ready in kitchen, and we all enjoy the outside swimming pool and inside spa pool.

Review 24：I chose this and paid for the view and I am glad I have no regrets. The view is stunning. The apartment is new, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff at the reception polite, warm and helpful. The location is right smack in midst of restaurants, cafes, shops and everything. I would stay here again if I revisit Surfers Paradise.

Review 25：Check in wasn't on time staff where rather rude. No instructions given on where to park. Elevator and sauna where broken. Gym was lacking in equipment. Treated like I wasn't welcome because of my age and dress sense.

Review 41：Soul was great in that you could stay at the resort and not go anywhere. It had all amenities there. If you did go out you would just walk out the front doors and you were in the heart of Surfers Paradise. All restaurants and shops were there. We did not get in the car once in the five days we were staying there.

The indoor pool was fantastic as it was windy outside for our daughter. The views of the beaches towards Burleigh was amazing and very relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I wasted half an hour in front of counter for him to check my identification . he couldn't find my Driver license copy which I have done when I checked in, then he asked me my phone number I answered correctly. I showed him my booking confirmation , he said he wanted my bank statement ! Then I showed him my bank statement . After all of these. he told me he couldn't give me any more keys! Since we have 3 keys in total (we stayed at two bedroom apartment . which he knew we have 3 keys at the first place!). At the end , He sent a gentlemen up to the room with me to see my ID and gave a key to me. What a wonderful service I got from Jon!

Review 65：Its unfair to judge everyone, but it has been a constant experience with staff artogancy ... In particular this summer, it has been one who was totally unflexible even before i check in.. However, i must say that 'Kevin' has made things right eventually On the other hand, elevators were really pain... At times you will have to wait for 20-30 minutes to get in..

A damged(cracked) iron was still in service and when I was about to use it my partner noticed water leaking out of it after I had put some water in it. This was sorted swiftly by your staff and a new one was brought up to the room. The other was 2 front shelf supports were missing from a shelf in a cupboard under the kitchen bench which tipped forward and slid out on to my foot when I reached down to get out the placemats. I guess your room service check failed on this particular day just lucky no serious injury ocurred Because we were there to celerbrate a very special time it put a bit of a downer on the night I reported this to your manager Kevin Nissen at check out who was very apologetic and sincere and offered to help us out on our next visit

Review 68：As we are locals this is the 2nd time we have stayed at your resort. Again we recieved the same warm and inviting hospitality from all your staff and enjoyed the comforts this resort has to offer. The room and view as usual is second to none and we were absolutely god smacked to recieve the same treatment as from our first visit so please keep it that way as we shall return soon and we have talked this place up with many of our friends of which some have stayed and also liked it. The Soul Seduction restaurant was a nice touch and a great way to relax with fine wine and dinning. Many thanks from us both and might see you soon hopefully for my birthday next month...........

Review 69：It is quite expensive, the pillow provided were terrible. The rooms were clean however there was dirt/ dust between oven and the cabinetry. The products provided in bathroom appeared to be opened and used.

Review 70：The location, room were comfortable with a great view to the ocean. Being right on the esplanade, being on level 5 and next to the lift well I thought it could be noisy but this was not an issue.

They are supposed to clean the dishes well, but unfortunetly they were very poor at it. Also the wifi is very weak and slow. For this much i would expect a better stay!

Finally, they took some money as a bound for precautionary reasons and it's okay but the stranger thing they said it will refound to your account after 10 working days !!

Review 100：Pricey for the level of quality. Expected a higher level of refinement and luxury for the money. Not happy with having my licence copied on arrival - too much personal information available - this doesnt happen at other hotels - made me feel like a criminal. Even though I had paid in full prior to arrival, Hotel took a $300 deposit for incidentals (though a bit excessive, was OK) but said would only be repaid 10 days after checkout - this is absurd. Also told me that each room key card also had a non-return fee of $45!!

Review 102：After checked out in the morning and having to catch our late night flight, we were offered shower facility by the reception which turned out a little unpleasant. We had to wait for 20 mins at the reception for the body soap which there wasn't any at their shower room.

Review 104：Don't make any plans to be anywhere after you checkout in the morning, it took our group of friends two hours all up to actually get down to reception to hand the keys back. Lift service is dreadful, we were waiting over 50minutes for the lifts to take us down to our car and over 1 hour for the trolley man to arrive. In the end, we just carried our stuff

Review 106：The apartment/hotel is in a great place on the beach front with all the shops/restaurants/bar right on your door step. The 2 bedroom/beach view rooms were wonderful with lots of space, wonderful for a family on holidays. The pool and other facilities were great and the beach view to sit and watch the surfers was great. Will recommend to anyone that wants a great base in a wonderful place.

Review 111：Rooms and toilets are small compare to the other hotel we stayed in 2014 right behind Soul. No travel concierge in such big hotel apartment...inconvenient for those without cars. Daily cleaning is surprisingly not good! Not many good restaurants around area. Why is there a self-tipping culture in Surfers? We often do not get our change back until we ask for it...eg. taxi & tour desk. Strange!

Housekeeping was terrible with the dishwasher - put in dishes without rinsing and it created a big mess.
