Review 3:milk choice of the esspresso machine...(personal preference). Wish there was a pool at the hotel.
Review 4:All rooms have great views and comfortable with an alpine style decor. Fireplace and library in common area. Turn down service in your room at night while at dinner. Overall feel of hotel was modern and cozy. Also everything was clean and well presented.
Review 5:The region is a fantastic place with all the mountains.
Review 6:Great location, easy slope access, great staff, great food, beutiful room, fast WiFi!
Review 7:Great boutique hotel with perfect location for skiing. The hotel facilities let you feel like at home and the owners and staff are just overwhelming. Food, i.e. breakfast and dinner were an absolutely highlight. We definitely will come back. Christian
Review 8:Noisy party down in the cafe, but they stopped around 11pm
Review 9:Great location and really friendly staff. Beautiful property with great access to the slopes!
Review 10:For the price, the Hotel is amazing and really it is hard to find anything to improve upon. For us, it might have been nice to have had access to a DVD player so our young girls could watch a film occasionally. Maybe the Hotel could consider having a portably DVD player at the front desk for the odd family who might need one (rather than having one in each room as I imagine most people wouldn't need one)? We also like to have a cup of coffee before getting ready to go to breakfast so some kind of coffee making facility in the hallway or the room might have been nice. However, the Hotel staff didn't seem to mind us getting an early coffee after breakfast shift started (7.30 am) to take back to the room before we returned later for breakfast.
Review 11:Hotel Vedig is a very well run hotel in a stunning valley with many hiking and biking opportunities (we were there in summer). They have comfortable rooms with great views, fluffy duvets and pillows and nice décor. The breakfasts are amazing - I especially liked the waffles with wild berries - the best waffles I have ever eaten. The town is lovely -small but has many gems - not least the gourmet mini-market run by a passionate local wine and grappa connoisseur - who also stocks artisanal chocolate and many other goodies. While we were at the Hotel we had news of a family bereavement - so it was a difficult time for us. The family who run the hotel were intensely kind and caring - which we appreciated so much. They are a lovely family who strive for high quality in all facets of their hotel and we can't recommend a stay with them highly enough.
Review 12:Absolutely no complaints!
Review 13:The location, amenities, space, scenery and friendly staff make this hotel the best Italian hotel my family and I have ever stayed at. If you going to do Stelvio, this is the only place to stay!
Review 14:We were staying with the intension of driving the various passes betweenItaly & Switzerland in our sports car. The location of this hotel isperfect for this. Review 15:There was nothing we didn't like
Review 16:The hotel is run by a large family who are extremely nice to theirguests, All of the family speaks at least some. What made this tripmemorable I stat the food in the restaurant was among the best we havehad anywhere in Europe, and we travel often and extensively throughWestern Europe. The hotel specializes in regional cooking which was anadded pleasure. The hotel was extensively upgraded in 2008, with state-of-art plumbing and electrical fixtures. It felt like a new hotel to us andwere surprised that the hotel was built in 1994. The location of thehotel was nice with a great view of the mountains surrounding the hoteland village of Santa Caterina.
Review 17:Hotel Vedig is located in S. Caterina Valfura, which is a small village outside of Bormio. During my visit in the end of July it was a bit quite in the evening and it might not be the perfect place to go if you are looking for party.
Review 18:Very friendly staff and and clean and fresh rooms and bathrooms. The entire hotel is quite new or newly renovated. If you want to have a relaxing weekend, Hotel Vedig is the right choice!
